i have ticket waiting list an booked irctc 8th dec 2011 from ltt to durg 31 dec 2011 journey date train departure time 20:35 from ltt this train was late 8:30 hours late and next day 4:00 am departure my ticket update 2:00 am yours ticket conform i was check by Internet in 1:30 am but not showing this tkt conform so i was tdr 1st jan 2012 11:00am. and 9 month latter this ticket refeund 50% money my pnr [protected] 3tkt fare 1113 rupees and refund 555 rupees this is fraud by Indian railways of public and rule is very pour service.

    I had booked a ticket from Mumbai to Howrah vide PNR No. [protected] and Transaction ID [protected] for my wife and children. the date of journey was 2/5/12. but when on 1/5/12 the chart was prepared, out of 3 tickets only one ticket was under RAC and rest two tickets were under waiting. so I filed TDR on 1/5/12 after preparation of chart vide no.ekt[protected]. but the same still shows as under process and the money is not yet refunded.

      PNR No. [protected],, This was E-ticket booked thru IRCTC website online. Journey date 09/06/2012
      I had not traveled on this ticket & filed TDR online on 13/06/2012.
      TDR Ref No. :ekt[protected].

      But I rcvd below mail from IRCTC on 7th Aug & reason was

      Ticket was not surrendered within 12 hour after departure of train

      But for E-ticket TDR can be filed within thirty day of Dep. Of train as per Railway Rules.

        On Sunday, 2nd Sep 2012, I swiped the ATVM card for a 20/- Ticket to Burdwan at 4:10AM. The print didnot come out. My Balance was deducted. I went to the ticket counter asked about the ATVM machine, the person said the person on ATVM duty wont be in till 6:00 AM. I had to catch a train to Burdwan immediately as I had beed travelling for last two days. I could not wait for the counter to resolve at 6:00 AM. So I bought a ticket from the ticket counter and reached burdwan. At Barddhaman railway station I enquired about the same, they said they wont be able to do anything and I need to go to Howrah station. This seems ridiculous. Why do they not have an access to the database and see which ticket has been swiped and card not printed?
        Why do I have to go to howrah to get this settled/refund?

        IT IS A GREAT FACILITY OF ATVM CARD FROM INDIAN RAILWAY... BUT, CAN WE RECHARGE THE ATVM CARD ONLINE...? (ARUN MUKHI, JHARSUGUDA, ODISHA, INDIA.)
        On Wednesday, 13th March 2013, I had swiped the ATVM card for a 35/- Ticket to Andal Junction at 0:40 (12:40 ) AM. The print didnot come out. My Balance was deducted. I went to the ticket counter asked about the ATVM machine, the person said the person on ATVM duty wont be in till 6:00 AM. I had to catch a train to Andal Junction immediately beacsue my tarin time was 1:50 AM. I could not wait for the counter to resolve at 6:00 AM. So I bought a ticket from the ticket counter and catched up the train at 1:50 AM and reached my distination. This seems ridiculous. Why do they not have an access to the database and see which ticket has been swiped and card not printed?
        Why do I have to go to howrah to get this settled/refund?

        My ATVM card number is :- ER0004335 .

        Previous card balance was :- 157/- after dedcut the amount my balance is 122/- . Without getting any facility from railway I have paid Rs. 35/- .

        Please have a look at this matter and I need this money back which is dedcuted from railway fault .
        MY SMART CARD NO. IS ER0096726, ON[protected], I RECHARGED OF RS 150/- AND PREVIOUS PLUS PRESENT BALANCE RS. 240 MORE, AFTER THAT I USED IT FOR A SEASON ( FROM CHINSURAH TO BALLYGUNGE) TICKET AT 9.20 PM BUT THE PROBLEM WAS MY TICKET WAS NOT PRINTED BUT AMOUNT WAS DEDUCTED, NOW WHO IS SOLVE THIS PROBLEM, SO PLS.           As I m dem sure that when all doors are closed and when there is no option left to solve our grievances only and only you people are there working hardly just to solve our problem not of thinking for your own profit.
          I'm pleased to inform you that Indian railway are not on a mood to even reply for my plenty no of mails to all the department of railway board to refund my 2 ticket balance booked for Mangalore jn. to Delhi jn. which is not cancelled by the misguidenced by railway enquire people.

          The matter is that at udupi jn.

          telling the wrong cancellation time for ticket they said at 8 am when
          window open
          till 12 noon u can cancelled your ticket we follow that and time was
          before 7:50am at mangalore jn at counter people said u are late by 10
          min now we cant help u.

          misguiding by the railway enquiry at udupi we are unable to present
          ticket on time
          but instead we were there to booked new ticket of tatkal on mangalore
          jn its pnr

          By guidance of complaint department officer at Mangalore central The original ticket which was not cancelled with a letter we send by
          speep post to given address from complaint officer to division commercial mngr refunds ,palghat ,kerala.
          After a month from palghat railway department an letter comes to us informing us that you should file tdr against uncanclled ticket.
          But when I asked in Mangalore central the complaint officer said there is no provision to file tdr in your case, u only should do the original ticket with request letter courier to division commercial manager palghat for refund your 5000 rupees
          So u are requested to take a prompt decision to refund our money
          back.It would

          Indian Railway-Pune Division — Only one window open for ticket.

          Respected sir/madam,

          My name is Jyotsna Kadam. I travel from lonavala to pune on every monday, So I don't have pass.
          I have to buy ticket. But I always seeing one problem on lonavala station that only one ticket window is open. It cause problem for so many people, even for old people also. People have to stand for long time in queue even when train is about to go. Because of this, people miss their trains. I have seen this happen always between 6.45a.m. to 7.30a.m. It's a time of Sinhgarh express and local from lonavala to pune. Because this those who get late for train try to cross railway track and sometimes people go without ticket. So I think to stop this you have to open second ticket window also. So atleast people and our Indian railways should not suffer.

          Indian Railway — Refund of Ticket money

          I purchased a Railway Ticket no. J 17297404 for a journey from Jamnagar to Udaipur on 16 Jul 2010 at 1303 hours. On reaching Ahmedabad, it was told that the Udaipur express bound for Ahmedabad to Udaipur is cancelled for a week. I approached Window No. 7 at Ahmedabad. Mr. IJ Bhatt told that I cannot get the refund from Ahmedabad or I have to go to Jamnagar to get the refund. I mate Station master but no proper response. I went to Himatnagar railway station (where the Udaipur bound train terminated) to get the refund, Station Master Mr. CJ Lal and Mr. Sharma Ticket Booking clerk behaved very rudely used abusive language and told no refund get lost from here. Finally I approached Jamnagar for refund but it was told I cannot get refund from here. For this I spent Rs. 5235/- apart from lot of harassment and mental torturing. Please arrange the refund due cancellation of train plus the Rs. 5235/-.

            I approached Gangtok Railway reservation counter on 01 Seo 12 for a reservation on 12505 NE Express on 06 Sep 12 from NJP to Allahabad and onward reservation from Allahabad to Jabalpur on 07 Sep 12. However the person on duty refused to do the reservation stating that the reservation for onward journey is not permissible.I would like to know under what rule is this refusal valid

              Dear sir,

              I have booked a steel trunk from patna to ranchi on 27/08/2012 vide lt no. A863202 & paid parcel charges of rs.485 as per the calculation sheet, but the trunk has not reached ranchi till 31.08.2012. At patna they were asking for additional money for loading the trunk in the train which I refused to give, then they told that they will not be responsible for loading in the train & there will be delay in loading the same. Had I given to their demand they would have loaded on the same day. When I contacted the authorities at ranchi parcel office, they said that the trunk has not been unloaded at ranchi station. When I asked that how can I get to know when my trunk will reach ranchi and where it is now the parcel supervisor said that they cannot tell where the trunk is now and when it will reach ranchi, the parcel supervisor said that they do not have access to get information where the trunck is now and he said that you will have to check everyday at ranchi railway parcel office for your trunck until it reaches ranchi.

              Sir I would like to know the status of the parcel booked at patna at the earliest & why the same was not reached ranchi though there is a train to ranchi daily.If possible I want to lodge a complaint against parcel service of indian railways and I request you to please do the needful.

              Our principle company M/s Hoteltek beverages Pvt Ltd have have booked a parcel(Qty 03 nos) from Ernakulam to Jalandhar City on 28/11/2012 vide lt no. 708239 & paid parcel charges of the same, but the material has not reached. Bill/Parcel receipt No 708239 booked from Ernakulam to Jalandhar City Train no 12483 started on Wednesday. we have been Tracking since Friday but not able to receive the material because JALANDHAR city parcel office say that they didn't unload the material because of non availability of man power at that time. we feel so helpless. also when i visited Amritsar office yesterday, they said that they have reloaded the material in Amritsar Dehradun exp Train No 4632 on 30/11 brake No. 03712. thinking that that JALANDHAR staff would again unload the material. Nut Jalandhar staff didnt bother to unload the same and the train moved to destination dehradun.

              and Now i just visited JALANDHAR City office again for my material because yesterday JALANDHAR parcel office people were saying that you come in the morning Dt 4th Dec, we will unload your material. but they failed to unload the material. we are very sorry to inform you that we feel so helpless in the whole scenario. our material is very important to us. please do the needful and let us know whom should we contact.

              Regarding - Indian Railway Parcel Booking of Bike.

              I have booked my bike as parcel in Indian Railway parcel service from Chennai Central to Guntakal. In chennai central so many agents are demanding money from customers or else they are threatening that your parcel will not get delivered or will be delivered with damaged. They are changing amount equivalent to parcel charges of indian railway. As they are telling they have to pay bribe from starting from CRPF, office staff, petrol inspection staff, platform staff along with packing. As the parcel charges for bike is Rs. 677/- they charged Rs.1550/- from me. Next the bike went to guntakal buy i have not received any message or communication and check status in Parcel Management system app there also no information regarding shipment. In guntakal parcel staff have called to my number after 2 - 3 days of receiving parcel. They are telling to pay late fee of Rs.483/- a lady staff is talking rudely and loudly saying you would have received sms. No respect over public as they are getting salaries based on public taxes and tickets. They are have food with same money.

                Respected sirs,
                My railway id username is MAGOTECHS and that of my wife is bhatgirija.
                All of a sudden without any prior intimation railways have suspended mine as well as my wife's e-tkt ids,which was in use for years together. For my complaint mail they replied that same email id is used for both e tkt ids. I gave them different ids as I could not change profile due to suspension. Their reply is that they cannot remove suspension and hence both email id as well as mobile numbers are blocked by them for ever.
                My complaint is that they cannot block my mobile for ever. I also demand demerages for causing undue troubles to both o[censored]s,mental agony and illtreat vide deficiency in service.
                They are suggesting to create new id with different mobile number and email id. How does this solve their problem of duplication of ids?. More over I wish to have transactions and messages in my existing prefered mobile number ,which railways cannot block from railway e- usage.
                However ,If you permit I can attach and send series of e- correspondance ,so that the issue may be more clear to you. Please guide me wheter there is any provision of forwarding emails written to care @irctc and their replies to you.

                  Hi,
                  My name is Kamal Nagpal. I booked my bike(bullet 350cc) from Ambala Railway Station on 6th of january 2011 to be sent to pune and have not recieved it till date.

                  I asked about my bike from parcel office they told me because of not getting the space in jhelum express they have loaded my bike in train no:310 to Nizzamudin and the stupid thing is it is not running from 6th january as told by the railway officials.

                  So where the hell they have loaded my bike. I enquire about it from Nizzamudin also. It is not there. they have neither recieved nor dipatched it.

                  i am really harrased by the commercial office and the parcel office people. how can they be so careless. I am continuosly calling commercial office they are not picking up my call and when they do they are just misguiding me and telling me different no's to call on.

                  I hope through this msg my complaint will be sent to higher officials of the Railway Administration.

                    Last week I was travelled in a Porbandar del exp. I was booked a 2nd Ac coach. But the condition of coach is very worst and AC is not working properly and there is only 1 charging point for 6 berths. there is not a single charging point for side berths.The coach is made of 1994 as the superinterdent told us. 3rd AC coach of same train is very well as we pay a huge amount but there is no luxury. Please take a strict action against them.and punish the culprits who are responsible for this.

                        I traveled in Rajadhani Express 12432 on 5.8.12 [PNR [protected]] from Nizamudhin to Kannur along with my family. The quality of food supplied was very bad. They are packing some item of foods at the narrow space available at lavatory side!. The chappatis supplied in a aluminum foil cannot be called as chapptis. It was a sheet made up of some kind of flour. They have supplied toffees worth 50ps instead of sweets. Fruit juice is seen replaced by lime juice. When I asked for complaint book they refused to give the same. It is very pathetic to note that the persons who served the substandard food are begging the travelers for TIPS at the end of the journey of the passengers! A complaint is being sent to the IRCTC and Railway.

                        I travelled by Rajdhani express from Bangalore to Nizamudin on[protected] train no:2429,but due to flood the train was forced to stay at Raichur railway station where the food supplied by the railway was very less and not as per the norms and payment taken as per Rajdhani.
                        The passengers at the train were fed by the Marwarhi Samaj and not the food supplied by the railway was not in the proper time and as well as the quality and quantity were not up to the mark.
                        On third oct. 2009 we were taken to another railway station by bus (Chickmasure ) where we were told that a new Rajdhani is standing for us but this was totally false and railway did'nt made any arrangement to carry the luggage.
                        Then we were shifted to new Rajdhani express at Solapur and it was again surprised that there was no proper fooding given to us till Nizamudin no snaks/sweets after meals were served instead of sweets after the meals only banana were supplied that too not proper.
                        It was really sameful that indian railway are taking a good amount of fooding amoun and the food supplied were not proper.

                          My travel date from Pune to Bhopal was 10 Aug 2012 and returning date was 12 Aug 2012. I booking returning ticket(i-ticket) on 28/7/2012.
                          As i didn't received return ticket till 10 Aug, there was no option to go except to canceled the trip.
                          I received this courier information on this Saturday of 11th Aug 2012.

                          This trip was very crucial for me, I was going there to attend the exame.

                          E I didn't had courier information, otherwise i can try to contact. Railway should provide the courier detail to the customer to avoid such a incident.

                          Kindly, let me know how can i file the case against railway.

                                Indian Railways — SHORTAGE OF REFUND

                                Sir,
                                This has refence to my earlier mail dt.19.6.2010 on the subject matter. The details are given below again.


                                We booked an e-ticket in Train No.6327 for travel on 21.5.2010 from Coimbatore to Ernakulam by III tier A/C (PNR No.[protected]) But the train which was scheduled for 8:00 hrs did not arrive till 16.00 hrs on that day and the train seemed to have been cancelled due to heavy rains in Andhra. We filed TDR on 23.5.2010 vide Transaction ID [protected] and the TDR was approved on 31.5.2010 and we have received a refund of Rs.620/- only i.e. 50% of the original fare which was Rs1244/-. In the TDR rules full refund is permitted incase the train is late or cancelled. But we have received only 50% refund. Kindly clarify and do the needful.

                                Kindly clarify why there is shortage in refund.

                                  EASTERN TRAILWAYS — REFUND OF MONEY

                                  I purchased two railways tickets for journey by Rupasibangla Express (2883 Up) from the Howrah Railway Station to Chhatna and Bankura Railway Stations at two different dates i.e. on[protected] and[protected] to travel on[protected] and[protected] respectively. My ticket and PNR Nos. of the tickets are E[protected] and [protected] for Howrah to Chhatna and E[protected] and [protected] for Howrah to Bankura respectively. For some unavoidable circumstances we could no travel on both the dates. After seven days I went to Dum Dum Railway Station Reservation Counter to return my tickets and get refund my money after making deduction as per your rules. But I was then told that TT’s Report was essential because I was making claim after the departure of trains. At that time TT’s Report did not come and I was refused and I was also asked to come few days later but within 30 days time. I went there twice for my refund but till then no TT’s Report came to them (as per the person sitting on the other side of the reservation counter). Meanwhile 30 days have passed.

                                  My question is ‘Should I get my money back now? If yes, where and how should I get it?
                                  Further, the cash values of the tickets are Rs. 178 and Rs. 286. Please let also me know that whether there is any cash limit to get refund in such case.
                                  This is in refence to PNR no - [protected] (E-ticket) (LTT-SHM Express) booked on 14/11/2012 & subsequest TDR reference no- ekt[protected] (Reason For TDR: Party Partially Confirmed/Wait listed And All Passengers Did Not Travel) on 15/11/2012.

                                  Please note that till date the refund for the ticket number is not credited to my account. I have made the TDR on 15th Nov 2012 & it is now 15 days over the amount is not credited.

                                  As this delay of refund may incur additional charges to my Credit card. Requested to credit the refund amount as earliy as possible.

                                    My new ADIDAS joggers got stolen from the A2 coach of Kalka Mail(12312) train by a gang of swindlers when the train had stopped at Old Delhi Railway Station early in the morning. They faked themselves to be waiters/attendants on the coach and tricked me while asking several times if I'd take lunch. I did not even imagine such a thing happening in an executive coach of an elite train like Kalka Mail! The attendant was also not present in the coach by the time I realized to complain while approaching Tundla. I had checked all over the coach with the help of co-passengers but to no avail!
                                    Presence of such miscreants can also be attributed to another of my experiences on Unchahaar Express 2 years ago, while the train was stationed at Old Delhi in the early morning hours. I noticed a shabby-looking, unkempt boy looking all around the vacated berths and finally came and perched on a side-lower berth close to me, with his eyes glued to my laptop bag. I was on the lower berth and in a moment he came and sat on my feet with his eyes fixed on my laptop bag. I was frightened. I requested him to go and sit somewhere else when he at once disappeared out of my sight. The very next moment I saw a policeman following him through the coach. I was fortunate to have been safe that day, but we should not be rest assured.
                                    Both the above experiences were highly disgusting.

                                    The safety and security of passengers in the Indian Railways is now questionable. Being a girl, my parents allow me to travel alone in a 2AC compartment of trains like Kalka Mail and Unchahaar, but now it's a matter of grave concern. Why should one pay more for a 2AC just to get robbed? I'm sure of a gang of swindlers present at Old Delhi Railway Station.The matter should be looked into and corrective measures should be taken at once to avoid inconvenience to future passengers. These incidents are warning sign to beware as this may just be the beginning of something heinous the way such swindlers are given liberty to have their own way!

                                      Respected Sir,

                                      Through this complain I would like to bring to your notice the worst maintenance of railway coaches by Indian railways. This Tuesday, 31st Jul, I traveled from Surat to Chennai in Navjeevan Express in S1 coach. Despite paying around Rs. 500 per ticket, railway is not able to provide us the basic necessities,

                                      1. Toilets are not cleaned/washed. Continuous Foul smell can choke passenger whose tickets are reserved near the toilets. (Navjeevan Express reached Ahmedabad around 8 pm and it starts for Chennai next morning at 6 am. Thus railway workers has enough time to clean the coach and wash the toilet)
                                      2. Tap water is not coming in the wash basin and one of the 2 toilets. I assume either tank was leaking/broken or it was not filled up at any of the major junction throughout the journey.
                                      3. Aluminium plates indicating the seat no were missing and leading to confusion among many passenger. Also missing were all the bag hangers. I assume that they were stolen or the coach was very old.
                                      4. Light & Fan switches were broken and thus passenger had no control to turn them off.
                                      5. S1 being the 1st coach after AC coaches, we experienced lot of trouble due to lot o[censored]p-down passengers traveling with general coach tickets but getting into reserved coach. All unreserved passenger occupied the place around the toilet thus posing difficulty to passenger trying to access toilet.

                                      I would like Railways to take action asap. Pls. replace the old coach and atleast provide the passenger with hygienic coach/toilet.

                                        One passenger’s tickets (Electronic ticket) out of the four passenger’s ticket vide PNR No.[protected] and Transaction ID [protected] was cancelled on 16th April 2008. Accordingly I had received the e-mail message from the railway on 18th April 2008 at 17:25:11 hours informing me that the refund amount of Rs.413.00 is credited to my account.

                                        Since the refund is not reflected in the entry on my bank pass book updated on 28th April 2008, I had sent an e-mail message at your e-mail ID on 29th April 2008 at 9:49:23 hours to this effect. Accordingly I had received the reply stating that the refund is settled vide Settlement ID 056286 and Receipt No.018695. I had also searched on your website about the refund status and found that the amount is refunded on 17th April 2008.

                                        Another one ticket (Internet ticket) out of two passenger’s ticket vide PNR No.[protected] cancelled on 21st April 2008. Accordingly I had received the e-mail message from the railway on 23rd April 2008 at 10:46:22 hours informing that the refund amount of Rs.417.00 has been credited to my account.

                                        Since the credit amount is not reflected in the entry on my bank pass book updated on 28th April 2008, I had sent another e-mail message on 29th April 2008 to this effect. Also I had searched on your web site about the refund status and found that the amount is refunded on 23rd April 2008 vide Settlement ID 942416 and Receipt No.021928.

                                        Since the above amounts are not credited in my account, I had sent an e-message to the railway on 30th April 2008 stating the above facts. Also I had sent an e-mail message to my bank at their Head Office e-mail ID on 30th April 2008 stating the facts cited above.

                                        I booked an I- ticket of AC 2T for my son from Allahabad Jn. to Guwahati ( 2506, N.E.EXP.Dated 18/10/2008) having PNR NO.- [protected]. On journey date it was known that reservation is in AC-3T in place of AC-2T.The passenger travelled in AC-3T and he was supplied a slip by T.T.E to get refund of difference amount but after reaching at Guwahati we could not get any refund due to non- supporting attitude of Railway employees.

                                        This mail is being writen to you after being informed by Mr. Joginder of irctc on 28th of june 2010 that I have to go on sending the mail to IRCTC and they have there choice to reply to my mail or not. If the attached documents you will please note that I have filled the TDR process for refund of my hard earned money on 20th of February 2010 after the train was delayed for more than 3 hours (i am elligible for full refund of fare as per railway rule) at the station I was informed by railway authority that since the tickets was booked through IRCTC they cannot refund my money and on contacting IRCTC I was advised to fie my refund through TDR process, the same was filled on 20.02.2010, Now on contacting IRCTC Mr. Joginder of IRCTC informes that Railway has to refund my money, It is really a pain to keep our money blocked for such a long in such a high inflating market. may I request the intervantion of your kind advice IRCTC to refund my amount with intreast as your are aware we are charged @2.5 % per month from the Credit Card provider.
