Indiaplaza. In — Receipt of incorrect product

I have been cheated by Indiaplaza.in My case is as follows: On 31 March 2010, I purchased 3 products from Indiaplaza - one of which was a game set - Monopoly (electronic billing) which they were offering for a price of Rs 590. I paid online through my credit card. On 2nd April 2010, I received a gift wrapped product. After taking delivery, I opened the product to realise they had wrongly sent me Monopoly (original set) which was priced at Rs 399 and in order to deceive me, they had wrapped it up so that I could not refuse delivery of the set. On that day itself I made a complaint to their customer care and also lodged an online complaint (Ticket No. CNT[protected]). After several phone calls, I have now been told today (April 9,2010) that I have to courier them back the product to Bangalore.

The question is who will pay for the shipping of the product? Indiaplaza commits a mistake - charges a higher amount from me and expects me to pay for shipping too? I think Indiaplaza is a fraud and cheater organisation with no interest in resolving customer problems.

I have a similar experience, where they send a wrong book(order no.IN[protected]) during my exam and didnt bother to even give the correct status for the re-dispatch of correct consignment.Devlin, you need to bring this out strongly as you are a part of a very powerful media.

I strongly recommend people tp avoid shopping with IndiaPlaza.com as its been the worst online shop i have experienced.My order no. is IN[protected] and my order was for a book, "Concepts of starategic management & Business Policy by Thomas Wheelen" and the ordering was done on 19.08.2011 and the delivery happened on 24.08.2011 through INexpress courier.Mode of payment was cash on delivery and the courier guy didnt allow me to open the parcel before payment.To my shock an irrelevant book on Creative writing was dispacthed.I filed a complaint and ticket was raised by India Plaza customer crae guy, Sangam on the very same day.He comitted for a redispatch of correct consignment and only the courier charges need to be beared.For the next 4 days after my follow-ups with their team, every time a false statement is given by every person.finally today a lady responded instructing me to return the book for a re-dispatch of correct book.
Now this is not fair, after patiently waiting for so many days i lost my temper and blasted her.I oredered the same book through book through Flipkart and i got the book in 3 days.Its better India Plaza refunds me the money, else i am thiinking of filing a complaint with the police or consumer court.
