JustDial.com — Impersonator

I, Madhumita Deb (Tel: [protected]) had called Just dial on 26 June, 2009 around 10.15 am, requesting for the phone number of a Videocon (/Electrolux) authorised service centre. The executive who attended the call said that she had forwarded the number to my mobile and further asked if I would like to be directly connected to them. I readily agreed.
The repair personnel who I spoke to pretended to be an authorized Electolux service person. He came and fixed my refrigerator, charged me Rs 2300 and gave me a receipt with the Electrolux name on it. However, the next day I realized that the fridge was still not functioning properly.
It was then that I called the Electrolux centre directly without going through Just Dial. On speaking to them I was appalled to learn that my complaint was not registered with them and they had not even sent anyone to my residence. I read out the address (URU Star Services, Hauz Rani, Malviya Nagar) mentioned on the receipt. They told me that this was not an authorized centre.
When the genuine Electrolux service personnel visited me, he tld me that I had been given a fake part, was charged double for it and the real problem had not even been fixed.

Thousands like me trust Just Dial to give us the correct information. Anyone can gain entry into my house pretending to come and fix the problem because Just dial is sharing my private information without discretion.
