[Resolved] Kent Water Purifier Ro+Ov — RED ANTS IN WATER
We recently changed our water purifier from an Aquaguard to a Kent RO+OV. The machine was installed on 30th March 2009. The unit Sl. No. is[protected] and the membrane no. is 39453656.
On Saturday around 4:30 PM when we despensed water we found 'RED ANTS' coming with the water. We called the company's service center and were advised to despense all the water from the valve below. We did as asked and collected the water in a bucket. To our surprise with the water came out hundreds of RED ANTS.
We tried to start the machine again but it did not restart. We called the service center again and asked for an engineer to be sent immediately. Being a Saturday and after working hours nobody seemed eager to comply with our request. After about 10 calls and a lot of persuasion a Mr. Manos Behara did come around 7:30 PM. He did repair something in the machine and it restarted. When he dispnsed water from the machine, he found RED ANTS coming out with the water. He went away and now we have been left with no drinking water.
We have two under 2 year old children in our house and trusting the product we gave them drinking water directly from the machine. Some of the househelp have developed an alergy, and so has my wife.
The above is not the only problem with the machine. The machine makes a beeping noise whenever it is switched on, the blue light that turns on whenever the machine is active also does not work.
Firstly I do not understand how RED ANTS entered a air tight system. Since RED ANTS are inside the system no matter how many repairs are made or cleaned we will not be able to trust this machine. So I would like my machine to be replaced with a brand new one as soon as possible by the company. If that is not possible I would like my money refunded.
Inspite of repeated complaints there has been no response or action from KENT since Saturday and we are still without any drinking water.
Please guide me as to how should I take further action to ensure justice.
