[Resolved]  Kotak Mahindra Bank — ANTI CUSTOMER ATTITUDE

I have been at the receiving end of KOTAK ADAYAR's unfriendly customer attitude for around an year and a half now.They had promised a ZERO BALANCE ACccount while the account was opened but have been continually debiting around 700 rs every quarter for NON MAINTENANCE Charges. The last quarter's debital was even funnier because the NON MAINTENANCE Charges were levied when I had 20% over and above the minimum required balance-for a normal account.
The customer representatives at KOTAK ADAYAR are avaoiding my calls , refuse to answer my emails and generally refuse to keep up even the basic opening promises. I feel I am dealing with an organization that does not know the meaning of Customer orientation at all.the bank has shown no steps in trying to resolve this issue over the past year and I am fed up from running from pillar to post.

I have my own complaint for imposition of penality of Rs 300/- plus Service tax thereon for the cheque dropped by the third Party who has has not singned the cheque. The peon of the cheque holder dropped the instrument into their DropBox and they got the chance to collect the penality (money) which they are always awating.I have informed thrice in writing to the branch in sectro -9, chandigarh but they are sitting on it to take any decsion, but assuring that we are sending mail to higher authorties and wait for the decision. they seems tb be First cousin of Lehmen Brothers.
I HAVE A HOME LOAN 94820 IN THAT AFTER THE RISE OF INTEREST RATE TO 14.5% MA EMI JUMPED TO 14754 FROM 10682 I PAID RS225000 WITH A REQUEST FOR REDUCING MY EMI(AFTER SELLING MY WIFE'"S JEWEL AND BORROWING) AFTER 20 DAYS THEY TOLD THAT THEY SHOULD PAY ADDITIONAL RS9000/- TO REDUCE MY EMI. IF THEY HAVE TOLD EARLIER I WOULD NOT HAVE PREPAID RS.2.25 LACS. THIS IS VERY CRUEL UNJUST TO A SINCERE BORROWER. HOPE U WOULD TREAT BORROWER LIKE ME IN GOOD MANNER AND REDUCE THE EMI SO THAT THE LOAN DONOT FALL AS NPA.MY ONLY QUESTION IS THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME CLEARLY THAT I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA CHARGES TO GET MY EMI REDUCED. ALONG WITH THE MONEY I HAVE GIVEN A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR REDUCTION IN MY EMI. MY A/C IS AT KMB LTD EGMORE CHENNAI.PL DO THE NEEDFUL TO REDUCE MY EMI WITHOUT CHARING ADDTIONAL CHARGES
i heard that kotak bank is in trouble, so be careful all and it is advise if some one is keeping lots of money at kotak, must draw and transfer to some nationalized bank asap'
i have availed a home finance loan from kotak mahindra almost 3 months back, i have still not recd the home loan kit . i have tried to call kotak infinite times ( on following nos : 66782307, 66782320, 21 ) these are answered only by coincidence . i have also availeda home loan protection plan which was foorced on to me ( they said it is compulsory otherwise loan will not be sanctioned, which is a restrictive trade practice ) and paid a premium of 21 K rs, i still not recd receipt of the same and hence could not avail tax benfit this year, even for a paltry document like pricipal and interest statment for the year, i was required to go to their branch near vakola mumbai 2 times ans was made to wait for almost 2 hrs before being attended . they are least bothered about the agony theirt customers are made to go thru .before being associated with them i was banking with HDFC, they did not give me a chance to complain for 3 yrs ( jut to tell that it is not in my nature to complain ) . i hate myself for opting for kotak home finance . My details of home loan are ( acc no : 2132050 ), MY CONTACT NO IS : [protected] ), I ALSO KNOW THAT no body will even bother to read all this , but iam only taking a chance that some cutomer may read this and deter from opting for kotak mahindra, i also know that i have made a lot of spelling errors while writing this complaint, but i am not in a mood to go for spell check,
