I have bought Kotak Smart Advantage plan from Kotak Life insurance. At that time kotak executive told that u have to pay for just 3 yrs and after completion of 3 yrs u can withdraw or surrender your policy. You will all your money back with any interest during 3 yrs period. But when I going for surrender after 3 yrs, their executive told me that you will not get first premium as this will be get only if we complete 20yrs of policy term. I have paid Rs.45000 for 3yrs and I got only Rs. 28000 when I surrendered. This is really misleading for customer's money. IRDA should look into this matter and act on this type issues. Make some strict actions against this type of organisations who are misleading with people. I will never recommend anyone for any of the product of Kotak. IRDA should do something and give us our money back atleast our money from this organisation. We don't wan't any interest.

    Premium: 50,000 (Yearly)

    Some agent duped me into buying this policy(KOTAK SMART ADVANTAGE PLAN) of KOTAK in 2009.

    I was told locking period of 3 years after that if i wish i can continue else withdraw my money easily without any charges. Also was told many benefits also that will get loyalty bonus every five years and blah blah.

    But when i payed my subsequent premiums. I saw my 1st premium is not in my fund value. This was never told to me that first premium is not invested.

    When i called up the customer care and asked about quitting the policy they said , first premium wont be payed back also further forfeit charges will be deducted from current fund value. This is shocking even after 3 years which was supposed to be locking period nothing changed and i am duped.

    They say you have to pay premium for 20 years without fail then only your first 50,000 will be payed along with else.

    As per 25-Nov-2012 My policy status

    Amount Payed By me: 2 Lakhs( 50K X 4)
    Fund Value: 161919.59400

    I guess i would never match to original amount. I cant forfeit that will take half of my money.

    So this comes out to be total trick fraud to keep a person paying. He can never quit from this loop hole.
    I have seen Many people being part of this fraud by KOTAK. Many have forfeit their policy and KOTAK snatched their almost 50% of the money.

    MY HUMBLE REQUEST TO EVERYONE ...PLEASE DO NOT GO FOR ANY POLICY OF KOTAK.....THIS KOTAK IS MOST FRADULENT OF ALL..I haven't seen any such case with any other bank.

    I have written my complaint to them 2-3 times on their website. Never ever got a single reply. Even after few days my request/complaint automatically gets deleted.

    All i want is either Kotak should contribute my first installement in my fund value and add the interest equivalent to what i should get in 4 years at NAV price of the fund i will continue with my policy for sure on these terms........ Or ELSE allow me to forfeit the policy and give my 2 lakhs back . I don't want any interest just please return my original amount atleast .

    We understand your concern in accordance to policy details and fund performance.

    We would like to inform that we have checked all our records and confirmed that the policy has been issued in accordance with your requirements as per the proposal forms duly signed by you.

    As per the policy features, we wish to inform you that on payment of first year premium, premium amount is not invested in the market but you will get two benefits which are as below.

    1) Fixed Advantage: The fixed advantage benefit is an assured value guaranteed at the end of your policy term. This benefit is calculated as a percentage of your 1st year premium depending on the policy term chosen, provided your policy is in force and all premiums are paid. The percentage of the Fixed Advantage benefit in your policy is 175% of your 1st Year premium.

    2) Dynamic Advantage: Dynamic Advantage benefit is an assured bonus credited to your fund value at the end of every10th, 15th, 20th policy year.

    This benefit is calculated as a percentage of the average value of funds in the three years preceding the benefit allocation, provided your policy is in force and all premiums are paid.

    The percentage of the Dynamic Advantage benefit paid at the end of policy year is 1.75%

    Please be informed that First Year Premium (FYP) is set aside and contributes towards guaranteeing Assured Additional Advantage.

    Assured Additional Advantage = Fixed Advantage Benefit + Dynamic Advantage Benefit.

    We started investing the premium in the market second year onwards.

    The same is mentioned in your policy document. We request you to kindly refer the same for further clarification.

    Its exactly the case what I am facing. Kotak officials come to home immediately for openign a new policy. But if in case grievance no body will turn up. My clear recomendation is cancel the policy and invest in some good policy where you will be able to cover up your principal loss amount.

    I have invested 1 lakh per annum ammounting to approx 3 lakh. Now the fund value is less than 2 lakh after 3 yr lock in period. I will surrender my policy to avoid further loss as the policy tenure is for 20 yrs. Total frustation by taking this plan. Offcials in local branch are washing off there hand and convincing me that we are not responsible rather few of them are asking me that why I have taken the policy if you know that its long term policy. I dont know in what language I should explain them that the policy has been mis guided and mis sold to me. But there is no answer from Kotak, and there playing the old blame game.

      Have recieved the confirmation for balance deduction as well but have not yet recieved the amount balance and confirmation from all these service providers. They all say they have not recieved any such amount from kotak.

        This is to warn you about the kind of people working for Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, Secunderabad Branch. I know a guy named Satish Bejenki alias Satish Bonagiri etc, who is not even a graduate but works as a Manager Sales at Kotak Life Insurance. This is the sorry state of affairs of Kotak’s hiring policy. They don't even bother to check the background of the candidates who apply for jobs with them. Now, guys like these who don't even understand the nuances of insurance policies are going to advice people on their life's savings. It is time that IRDA should take steps to tighten to regulate institutions such as Kotak, so people are saved from such ill trained and unqualified guys advising them on their life savings.
        To give you more info on this guy; you would be astonished to know that he is an impersonator; his real name is Satish Bonagiri not Satish Bejenki. He also happens to be a defaulter of ICICI Bank Personal Loan, which he managed to get using falsified pay-slips in the past. He is not even a graduate in the first place and lands up as Manager Sales at Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, Secunderabad Branch.
        So, people of Hyderabad and Secunderabad be careful while thinking of Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Policies, because these kind of people may land up at your place giving you wrong advice. It's better not to look at Kotak Mahindra because they seem to be not so worried about what kind of people work for them. This speaks volumes about the kind of company Kotak Mahindra’s is and their work culture and ethics.
        Just wanted to share what I know so that you people could be cautious while buying life insurance policies from Kotak Mahindra. It's better to be cautious than to be sorry later. AVOID KOTAK MAHINDRA LIFE INSURANCE.

          Hi Kotak Bank Customer Service

          I am holding a corporate salary account with kotak bank . Initially the bank promised a whole lot of endorsements like better interests, free transactions , etc. I believe the motto has now changed and I believe now kotak bank doesn't understand the service that should be given to a corporate account holder , that they promise while opening the account.

          I noticed that there was a charge deducted from account for an neft , I called the customer care and to my disappointment the customer service officer told that there are charges applicable for neft ,cash withdrawal, annual card charges etc that has been incorporated since october 1 ,2012 , without notifying the corporate customers in any mode(neither call nor email).

          I called the customer service which went in vain .I have been facing issues since opening the account .

          I need more clarifications on the same and need proper assistance from kotak side ,else I have to close this account with immediate effect .

              policy no. 02366830 of KOTAK ( Term Plan ) . Purchased the term plan last year . Due date of premium 20.09.2012 . I have received call regarding the renewal but i was not knowing that they are going to deduct the renewal premium directly from my bank . The bank detail was known because the last year premium was paid by cheque . The ECS was not signed by me . When last year i received the booklet for the policy confirmation the ECS signed was not attache din that . The insurance person are telling that you have signed the ESC .
              I want my premium back for the year 2012- 12 which has just started . Please help me to get back .

                Based on the below email initiated Phone call to Bhavani, but there is no proper response.

                Meet me in the my office between 09 AM-5 PM with prior confirmation on exact timing for further discussion on the below issue

                As I already mentioned on repayment, provide your terms and conditions properly (Last Request)

                With this note, henceforth don’t assign any customer relationship officers for my account, stop all your unwanted emails and phone calls from the bankers

                It’s clearly indicated by Kotak bank, no show or interest in this issue and there is no value for the customers (corporate salary holders)

                Further would be lodging complaint as per Banking Ombudsman Scheme

                Applied in the month of July 23rd and after a month still there is no information from the bank

                There are many issues with your department from the day one

                 On the Interest and processing fee, Agreed for 14.75% and 0.5% but same not processed

                 Huge delay in the approval of loan amount

                 Requested for 36 months EMI and processed for 48 months

                 Two times rework on the agreement paper

                 Several request on confirmation mails

                 Document collect executive is not responding properly and bad service

                 Overall Very poor service from the bankers and relationship officers


                Would like to cancel the personal loan processing for 3 lakhs, if the total amount is not credited by COB today

                No more excuse and discussion, post me back the signed original agreement and my blank cheque to address immediately

                Kotak Mahindra Bank — Complain Regarding POOR Quality Service

                This is regarding the poor quality service of your Ambala Cantt branch (Haryana).

                I request for opening Trinity account on 30th of October and I submitted my entire document and completed the formalities..

                My account got activated on around 4th of November and I got my first email regarding conformation of email and mobile number.

                Demat account was my main purpose for opening bank account. When my saving bank account was opened, I have been told that, my Trinity account will be opened within a week.

                In the meanwhile I was called by bank authorities regarding Kotak Smart Advantage plan and has requested me go for small investment.

                When my Trinity account was not opened on time, I visited bank and met with manager. I was again assured and re-submitted my complete documents for Trinity account.

                This happened number of times and every week I have been told that, my account will be open within 2 days. I was assured number of times and its have been more than a month, my Demat (Trinity) account is still in pending state.

                I got a call from head office Chandigarh regarding conformation of policy and when I told then about the issues that I facing, I was again assured that my Trinity account will be opened shortly.

                I even reminder authorities regarding the issue but nothing had happened. I called bank authorities and I never got a call back from them regarding this issue.

                I am really feeling unhappy with the miss-management, poor quality and misleading service of your Kotak Mahindra Bank and I want to surrender my account.
                i cant agree your attitude with me regarding intrest statement of my car loan cf4304080 for the period of[protected] to[protected].i meet with Mr. Imran Ali Mno.[protected] i visit your agra branch on dt.[protected] but cant response still now.

                I hav no rating for Kotak Mahindra if there is any option in negative nos. hn i, ll give. My issue i had apply for personal loan two weeks earlier & submitted all rqrd docs after that they told loan, ll be encashed in three or four days after verification but still iam not get any cash in my account. And daily they told me new story or either loan deptt. person MR. Chanchal (Kotak bank chandigarh 9 sec branch) wants to hear anything or also they rudely behaving with customer so where, ll i go... Money i want one week ago but still i hv doudt whether im gettng any cash r not.

We very disturb about this, We have all prof of bank statement. Please request you sort out this problem, otherwise take legal action.

                  I had taken a loan from the Kotak Mahindra Prime with Agreement number CF5576646 for a Maruti Ritz VXi in 2009.
                  My loan tenure has been completed and I have emailed the team to complete the closure procedure clearly asking to return the security cheques that were submitted as part of procuring the loan.
                  Kotak Mahindra Prime is somehow ignoring my request to send the security cheques back and I perceive this a threat and a possibility of attempting fraud in future.
                  I have sent 2 emails asking for the return of cheques along with the NOC and form35 but have still not received the security cheques back.
                  The email replies that they send also mention only about dispatch of the NOC and form 35 with no mention of why the cheques are not being sent back

                  gud evening sir, myself manish aggarwal and my father name is mr. vinod aggarwal actualy my father had taken the one personal loan from kotak mahindra and he has paid this peronal loan amount and the account also has been closed of this kotak mahindra but the problem is that the cheques which has been paid by my father at the time of security are not refunding if we try to contact from the bank but there is no response from that side and the address of that bank is amba deep building, cannaught place, please cooperate with us and my father name is: vinod aggarwal, contact no. is [protected], and the agreement number is 1140653, date of agreement 28/07/2006...please contact on this above e-mail id thanking you..
                  Few week before i had opened a Demat a/c from Kotak Mahindra. The email address mentioned in the kit which i received from you was wrongly typed by your staff, (my email id is [protected]@yahoo.co.in) because of that the email which you have send to me regarding my password and other email has not yet reached to my email Id.

                  So, Please correct my email ID and resend all the email which you have send to me and also i have not received the Instruction slip book from Kotak Mahindra Security.

                    This is Sandesh Kumar I have Kotak Mahindra bank credit card and credit card number [protected] I had used 15000/-on 14/10/2012 from my card the amount is debited and for merchant it has not been credited I called up customer care they told it has been debited from your credit card there telling to wait for 15days . I asked them are paying any interest for 15days there said no if we make one day late there charge so interest.

                      I had taken Kotak Smart Advantage Plan (Policy No. : 01754827 Name Mahesh arora) by seeing Brand Name of Kotak Group by investing monthly 1,000/- since 27/10/2009. But, we are totally frustrated with the behavior and approach of Kotak Life Insurance Company which we have been never seen in our whole life, this kind of responsibilities and irregularities. They are trying to cheat us since 27, Oct 2009 when I purchased this policy.

                      At the time of purchasing that policy (Oct, 2009), the sales executive (Mr. Naveen #[protected]) of Kotak had given all wrong information and said that after 3 years, if you want then you can withdraw your policy and get your all invested money with good return (1000 * 36 months=36,000 + Good % of return) (I have purchased this policy due to this feature only which is told by the executive, and I had paid 1,000/- per month since May, 2009 to May, 2012). And after 3 years, I had been called and mailed to Kotak Life Insurance Customer Care he said that your one year invested money will be gone into Kotak Account and it will not given to you, I will get only 2 years invested money with 2% deduction also. I was totally shocked. This is ridiculous. Therefore, I am totally mentally, physically and financially harassed by the Kotak Life Insurance Company and decide to surrender the policy (Policy No: 01754827, Name:Mahesh arora).
                      When I said that your sales executive had misguided us regarding the policy and given fake/wrong information then Kotak’s representative said that it is not Kotak’s responsibilities for their sales person/team or executives and you should verify the things. It means there is no accountability and responsibilities of Kotak about their plan and policies and their Sales Executive’s. All the responsibilities and loss paid by the Customer only!!!


                      I am in big trouble now I want urgent money for purchasing new flat.

                        description of the complaint in detail:

                        on 12th december, 2010, I purchased a pizza of worth rs 198 from dominos pizza house, in pune. I started operating the card since 2008 and I duly made the payment of all the outstanding expenses. Infact, I think I'D kept some balance to my credit card account for some future adjustments too (rs 88).

                        After purchasing the pizza, I didn't receive any bill to my email address and resulting in missing of payment of that due amount which was rs 110 (this is actually the outstanding amount). After a couple of month, I was sent the first email (autogenerated email from back) to make a payment of rs 2026.79 on 22nd march, 2011. I immediately had spoken to the people mentioned in the email to contact and upon discussion, I'D paid rs 1000 to kotak cards after the discussion with mr arjun garipatti and he confirmed that the payment was received over email. Later on, I asked him also to confirm that my entire outstanding amount is cleared and to confirm that over email, but he never DID that. I tried again reaching all the other recovery managers (srinivas pidaparthi/ Dilip kumar) but till the issue is coming back and forth. They didn't update the amount in their system as a paid amount and recently I opened a savings bank account with kotak mahindra and they debited rs 4533 from my account. I found that while I taken a savings bank account statement from atm box.

                        This is something where in spite of repeated follow up from my end with all the recovery /Collection managers at the regions(hyderabad, pune, delhi and mumbai) my case is intentionally been activated by them and they recovered the amount in an illegal way.

                        Infact, when I found this is not getting resolved, I logged a complaint to their "complaint redressal" team about 6 months back, till now they couldnt able to come back. They say (mr dilip dabade) that he will call me by eod, but he never gets time to update and my outstanding amount continue to rise.

                          On the 24th sep 2012 at 7.06 pm I have tried to withdraw money from New India Co-Op bank ATM located in Andheri East, Mumbai No.400069 using the ATM address: Andheri East, Mumbai No.400069 . I have used my debit card of Kotak Mahindra Bank Debit card No. [protected]. I used the card to withdraw an amount of Rs. 800/- (eight hundred only) two times Rs.400/- each at 7:05pm and 7:06 pm The machine failed to disburse money. On enquiring my bank about the fault in the machine, they informed me that an amount of Rs. 800/- have been debited from account.
                          i have to complaint in my Kotak Bank. My bank have give assurance for me to getting back my money in 7 days. but At the last movement my Kotak Bank said to me we do not help me becouse New India Bank said money have withdraw from my Kotak Mahindra Bank Debit Card no. [protected].

                          Kindly look into the matter and consider my case and help me to get back the amount of Rs. 800/- debited by New India Co-Op Bank.

                              Miss selling complaints complaints was submitted to Kotak Mahindra Old Mutal Life Insurance Grievance Redressal officer Mumbai on 16/09/10.In this regards the agent Mr Devinder approached me on 27/09/10 and assured me that after 3 years definitely I will get min 10% appreciation ie Minimum Rs 5,10,000/- and asked me to withdraw the complaint. I said that I will withdraw it Conditionally.He said sir you believe me definitely you will get min 10% appreciation. On his assurance I withdrawn it Conditionally.So far I have paid 3 premium of Rs.1,50,000x3 = 4,50,000/-.But now When i approached for Redeem The said I Will get only around Rs 4,10,000/-After adjusting their all charges.

                              In this regards again I submitted my Grievance to Kotak Mahindra Old Mutal Life Insurance Grievance Redressal officer Mumbai on 03/09/2012 (Kotak interaction Id no KLI[protected] to settle the Redeem amount as promised by the agent vide my letter dated 27/09/10 submitted to Kotak Mahindra Old Mutal Life Insurance Grievance Redressal officer Mumbai by the Agent to withdraw the complaint conditionally

                              Kindly note as per product feature, in case of policy surrender in 4th year, the surrender charge is 10 % of the fund value and in the 5th year, its 5 % of fund value.

                              From 6th year onwards, no surrender charge is applicable.

                              The same is mentioned in the policy document. Kindly refer the same for further clarification.

                                I am Veejay, opened an account in Kotak Mahindra Bank with home branch Preet Vihar (New Delhi) in 14/12/2009. My account type is saving account. At the time of account opening bank's customer representatives told me it is zero balance account and you will get welcome kit at free of cost. Due to some personnel problem I did not deposit money in my account from long past time. I have Rs. 4441.97 on 20/08/2012 as per bank's email alert but it was Rs. 3,599.27 on 23/08/2012. Rs. 842.70 is cut due to AQB Non Maintenance Charges. If it is zero account balance with saving account then why these kinds of charges applied on my account. These kinds of charges never told by bank's customer representatives. I thought these are the hidden charges imposed by the bank. I mailed to customer service of this bank on 10th sep 2012. They replied that they are looking the matter and try to solve out this problem. But till now no action is taken by the bank. please help me to got my deduct money.

                                  Full of agony and severe pain I am writing to you as I have been incurred false demat charges for last 3 years. Though I have submitted my documents twice. Last time I have submitted on 2nd july 2011 at Sakinaka, Mumbai branch(some lady Miss/Mrs Mandal was manager). I got calls from the bank assuring me the refunds. But nothing happened yet. Now I doubt whether I believe on Kotak bank or I should rely on some other banks. Pls check your system, I have called around 20 times in last 3 years for the same purpose.
