Sub: Leaking complaint of solar water heater tank
We have purchased 2 units of Kotaka solar water heating system from your Hubli dealer M/s. Champion Solar Systems, B-7, C Block, Revankar Complex, Vivekanand Hospital Road, Court Circle, HUBLI-29. Dated: 08.12.2009 void inoice no. 018. One of the tanks was leaking since after four months of installation.
Mr Ashok hegde had visited us around one & half or two months ago before purchases of solar water heating system and had discussion about the same at that time we had bargained for the prices & about warranty yours being 1 year as against 5 years of competitive brands. He( Mr Ashok hegde) again visited a weak before purchases and said that our company is giving extended warranty of Five years and on that basis we placed an order for 200 liters of capacity of water heater. After a day or two he visited and said that we had won a lottery draw for which we will get a 50 liters extra capacity free of cost, so he suggested buying two water heaters of 125 liters so we got installed the same. Looking at good result my brother also bought one solar water heater & got installed. After around three four months later one of the tank stated leaking. At that time we complained your Hubli office, the technician had visited and said it was a pipe fitting leak so it will cover need not worry it will cover. Now some days back when I had been to the tarries I saw the tank is still leaking and tried to contact your office at Hubli but found closed since last year on enquire, so we contacted your office at Bangalore and they said that the technician will visit. As per talk the technician visited and said that the water has not been tested so your tank is leaking. But while installation they had not talk about testing of water. And while your two tanks are working in good condition besides the one leaking with the same water. Therefore one tank is having manufacturing defects. So please take necessary action at earliest.

though we have complained since one and half months we have not recieved any response from ur side.we have even sent a written notice to the head office but recieved no reply for that too.there is just one manufacturing defect but still u people r unable to repair it.what should we consider, the company is so irresponsible.it gives all guarantees to the customer only at the time of purchase, but does not fulfill them.since installation we r facing so many problems and also been complaining about it.now i need an action.so please consider it and hope for an immediate action.
