I am a Kotak 811 account holder and this is the first time I am facing this issue .I paid Rs.501 to a Petrol Pump on 13th January and today on 15th January my account was automatically debited for Rs.5.91(TIPS/SCHGS/EXH//ATO*JYOTSNA FILLINGST) without my knowledge . Why we should we pay extra. Too sad, and I know 5 or 6 rupees is a very small amount but what if they have been doing this with many other customers, and also I am not paying this money the government but to the dealer, so what is the use of this . Jan 16, 2025 Complaint marked as Resolved I talked to the Kotak Bank customer care today, they said that if you use your debit card at the fuel station for payment a charge of 1.18% of the total amount you spent at the petrol pump is charged by the government . This is all they said but I think these charges should not be taken from the customer . In today's world where the Prime Minister is telling the country to go cashless, and when one want's to pay online they put charges on everything, this is absolutely not done . Kotak Mahindra Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
