[Resolved]  KSRTC — Improper ticketting

Once again KSRTC proved that they dont put enough thought on educating its staff and they never bother about the way they approach the public(consumer). I regularly travel from B'lore to Sec'bad and there is a volvo bus whose end point is Sec'bad, this leaves at 21.45 everyday. I had booked the ticket for B'lore to Hyd... the fare is Rs. 645. The fare remains the same if you book the ticket for Sec'bad also. But the conductor during my journey on[protected], after passing from MGBS demanded Rs.20 for continuing my journey upto Sec'bad.He was adamant in his stand that in my ticket the end point was Hyd. B.S so if I have to continue upto Sec'bad I need to take a ticket for Rs. 20. But the reality is the fare for B'lore to Hyd and Bilore to Sec'bad is Rs.645. Then what is the matter if you get down at Hyd. B S or Sec'bad.

Conductors neeed to improve their behaviour towards the commuters. No real improvement is seen in this regards over the years. Now it is high time that public organisations start thinking over this matter.

KSRTC-Conductors cheating customer/government.

I used to travel bus from Attible to Electronics city (Bus No-360B which goes to Majestic) at 6.30am. Bus License Number KA-01-F-2754. The activity what I am going to mention is a regular one on this route number. I noticed/suffered several times.

I don’t know the conductor name. I traveled on April 30, 2008 at 6.30 am. The charge from Attibele to Electronics city is Rs.9. I gave Rs.10 and the conductor as usual he marked Rs 1 on the back of my ticket though he have the change. Before Electronic city stop (I think it is Hebagodi), I requested for the change. He collected my ticket and offered me Rs.1. But he didn’t return my ticket. In addition, I saw that he was offering the same ticket to some other person by just striking out the remark, which was on back side of the ticket.
I have see this for plenty of times conductors avoiding to return the change of Rs.1or 2 even though after having the change. If you ask for it "your stop is far from here, what's so urgent " is the answer you get for your own money. Most of the time people hesitant to ask or tend to forget puts it to conductors pocket. This even happens with auto rickshaws.
If conductor doesn't have change is understandable but many of the times purposefully avoiding to return is not good. Somewhere they need to change this attitude. Someone has to send message to KSRTC/BMTC management.
Request to passengers to carry change and always ask for money.

Not On Schedule

I had booked a ticket to Tirupathi on May 10th. The bus was suppose to leave bangalore at 5PM, But the bus came to station only at 6:30. The bus left the station only at 6 45PM or so. And the management team at Megestic is so bad. They don even have the correct information. They are not ready to give the number of any higher official whom i can contact and complain about this. The reason they sight for this is the election. They say all the drivers are on election duty. If so, then why the hell they make bookings on these days. Why cant they cancell the services. They take huge money and the service they offer is pathetic.

I was travelling from markera to puttur on 8-5-2008 by ksrtc bus number ka19 2571.I purchase the ticket for 47.00 RS by giving 100.00 RS, he gave me a ticket and marked 3.00 RS on back side of the ticket, so i asked for remaining change for 50RS, he told me dat he give me later.i have noticed that the conductor was rudely behaving with the co passenger and he also fought with them, moreover one of the co passenger demand the change, so conductor teased him telling that whether he is getting down, and he told that he ll give the change in puttur.But when we reached there, one of the passenger demand the change so he told him to come for bus stand even thought he had the change he refused to give him, when my turn came he gave me only 3.00RS change so i asked for remaining 50.00RS, he told me that he gave me, so we both had an arugement final he told me to come for bus stand, so i climbed the bus again and he started speaking rudely and used voulger words saying that come in i ll teach u, u want the change na and he pulled my color, so i jumbed from the bus and i took the help from traffic controlling police.Police and public helped me to get my money.However i was not very much bother about money but way he behaved with me.so kindly request to consider this letter and take an appropriate action against the conductor for his misbehaviour of the bus KA.19.2571, tavelled on 8.5.2005. Am wait for the reply
My wife was traveling in KSRTC bus, Time 9.30 pm, Date[protected], from Chennai - Bangalore, conductor was rudely behaving with her. After reading complaints about KSRTC conductors in this forum, i understand that this is their general attitude to every one. KSRTC conductors need to change their attitude, or KSRTC management need to take action against them.

Myself preethesh.N.R iam the resedient in chickmaglore and iam working in banglore so each and every week i use to travel for my native i.e chickmaglore so while comming i use to reserve the ticket.But on saturday morning for sunday night at 10:30pm also i reservedand even this time also i reserved 2 tickets for my friend and for me both seperate window seat and he agreed gave the ticket no 7240679 but when i bored a bus on sunday night he reserved window seat for both myself and other fellow too.so i request you to better take the action.

i travelled from mangalore to bangalore by ksrtc and the conductor was drunken and he was misbehaved with me, the name of conductor is nagesh rao. 10 pm bus. plz dont putdrunkers on duty

I am from a place called gudalur which is on the way to ooty I have booked a return ticket from ooty to bangalore on sunday ie[protected] where in I had no option of booking the ticket from gudalur to bangalore in ksrtc web site. the bus starts from ooty by 10.20pm Corona Ambari.the bus takes atleast 2 hours to reach gudalur which is by 12.20pm. I was in the bus stop at gudalur by 11.30pm and the bus arrived exactly at 12.15 and when i have shown my reserved ticket the conductor told me that this bus is not 10.20pm bus its 10.26pm bus and he conned me badly...and we have waited till 1.30 am but no bus was avaliable and we had to come the next day morning.

Please take a suitable step to check this otherwise no use to post a comment only.
1-This is really embarrasing that after paying money conductors dont issue the tickets.
2-For same distance there is no fixed amount. It varies from Rs.3 to Rs.7.
3-Drivers dont stop the buses on the bus stop but they stop in the middle of the road.
When I came Bangalore I was very much excited to visit the IT hub of India. But these type of things totally changed my thinking about B'lore.
Are you all waiting for the Karnataka Chief minister to come to your house and help you. If the behavior of the bus conductors or management has offended you so much, why not take appropriate actions. Contact the other passengers by email from this forum itself, and together report this at teh consumer court.
I travel in bus only once in 3 years (only when flight or train is unavailable) but do look for reviews. I have booked tickets online for a return trip from Bangalore to Kerala for May 2009 through Kallada, however, complaint forums talk the same about all travels - KSRTC and private ones. I really doubt whether we will have a comfortable journey.

My perception of KSRTC changed for the worst in just two trips. I had to board my bus to Sirsi on 10th night from the main bus stand. The bus arrived half an hour late and in a bad shape. The radiator pipe was broken and the driver took the help of one more driver who was standing near him and worked on it for another half an hour and declared that it was a minor problem and he had fixed it. The bus started at 11pm and by the time we reached Rajajinagar, the radiator pipe had broken down again and smoke was filling the entire cabin. So we headed back to the main bus stand to get it rectified. We reached the main bus stand at around 11:45 and we were shocked by their careless attitude. They were insisting on that we get this bus fixed and we carry on. After lot of effort we finally managed to get a alternate bus at 1am.
While coming back to Bangalore I boarded a sleeper bus at around 9:30pm and within half an hour into the ride I felt something was wrong and realized that my seat was infested by bed bugs which had grown to 4-5 millimeters in size. I had never seen bed bugs so large. Both my legs and hands were swollen badly and I managed to change my seat at around 12:30 am but still some bed bugs had managed to cling along and had a terrible time in my new seat also. Around morning time I saw that the white blankets given by the conductor was having blood stains all over and I had a sickening feeling.
So much for just 2 trips. I guess I had to vent out my frustration somewhere and this post is my way of taking it out.
Booked a ticket in KSRTC five days in advance to travel to Thalassery from Bangaloreon 9th August 2009.
The scheduled time was 20:05, an hour later at 21:00 a bus to kannur arrived, to our surprise when we approached the conductor he said this ticket is for the earlier bus which is cancled.If you want we will drop you at Mattanur which is our route or you can go and get the ticket canceled. On approaching the Traffic Controller in charge the reply also was the similar, If you want you can travel by this other wise you can cancel the ticket, we are helpless we cannot do anything. This was the decision by our manager to club the service to the earlier bus to this service.I am really surprised this is the kind of service we deserve after paying for it. Imagine the plight getting down 30 to 40 kilometers away in the midnight and take a alternate bus. I cant imagine if it were my family was supposed to travel.The similar expereince in the same route another 10 days back.I was on the same Kannur bus departing at 20:00. Just after Mysore there was some trouble with the clutch, The drive manages to take the bus to gudalur depot workshop. It was around 2:00 in the midnight, and unfortunately the night shift mechanic not available, we had to sleep in the bus untill early morning 7:00AM till the mechanic arrived.
Who is responsible for these kind of services and whom should we reach to complain about these inconvenince.
The conductor and the Traffic controller said we are helpless we cannot do anything. Would they accept the similiar service inconvenince.I tried to reach on the enquiry numbers that were on the back of the ticket of which none are active.
Is this what we deserve for trusting the service.

Regret to inform you that while i was travelling from mysore to cochin(ernakulam) through Rajahamsa on 6th sep 09 at 9:37pm. As i was about to sleep i found some bed bugs biting my hands and legs. i concerned the conductor he then allotted an alternate seat which was also affected with bed bugs and my journey on your bus was quiet miserable.The seats were also not cleaned and maintained properly. Kindly do the needful to resolve such inconvenience to the passengers of Rajahamsa (KA 40 F-191)

I am travelling from Indiranagar (Defence Colony) to DELL bus stop (EGL) everey day. Every day I am facing and seeing that the conductors collect exact ticket amount and don't give tickets to passengers. Today (Sep 11th 2009), I have seen that the conductor didn't give tickets for 80% of the people in the bus. I observed in each and every stop. Just he is collecting money from passengers and didn't give any ticket. I asked him somany times for my ticket and he was telling something else. Whle discussing with conductor, my bus stop came. The bus details are as follows.

This is doing not only this conductor, many many. 90% of conductors are doing like this. But no one is taking any action.

Because of this mainly KSRTC is loosing their profits drastically. People please think about this and take necessary actions if any Police office or KSRTC staff will see.

Sir I gave to Conductor Rs.200/- against Rs.176/- he told me dont have the change and wrote ex Rs.24/- on back side of the ticket, then I have searched in my pocket and got Rs.26/ - and the same
I had give it to Conductor and told take this change and give me Rs.50/- But he refuse to pay and told I will pay you Rs.50/- again he wrote Rs.50/- on the back side of my ticket,
then in the midnight once again I have reminde to give me Rs.50/- again he refuse to pay.
On 1.30 AM when the bus reach to Nayandanahalli at 1.30AM mindnight I have getdown with my brother but the conductor not pay the amount of Rs.50/-

Please I request to refund my amount as possible as early.

Actually i had tried to book the KSRTC tickets for diwali on date 15th night from bangalore to madurai,
The rules in KSRTC tickets can be booked in online only before or less than 15 days from the journey date, but when i was trying at 12'o clock morning (Sep 30th) it says 'You can book the tickets only for 12 oct'.
Then when i check out the same in the morning 8'o clock it was sold out.
I am confused whether these people are booked the tickets themselves...

Dear Sir,

There is improper service facility @ Gauribidanur .Dist chikkabalapur.

When I went to get my pass renewal ,there was one attadant who saw the pass issuing book & could not undertand the same & ask me to come after noon.I had taken permission from the company for this purpose & i cant come back again was my explaination.

These people are acting as though we are begging monthly bus pass from them

I bored on my bus from sarajpur junction to graphite india at 7:55am 500k- on 08|02|2010. bus no 4389.
It was super crowed but some how i managed to pay the ticket amount
but conductor making change excuse kept me hold for ticket. And at very next stop ticket checker entered into the bus. And started asking for the ticket... the lady( ticket checker)
was too rude and was not ready to listen to me and started speaking in kannada... even after tellin i dont understand she started shouting at me. i dont understand why these ppl r not enough educated to
speak atleast in english.
i came bangalore to wrk for my company not to
get mentally harrashed like this. even after paying due amount Rs 20 ticket checker forced me to pay fine for Rs 200/-. Even after having the complete fault of conductor.
I just want that to take action aganist conductor and to ticket checker how to behave with ppl
and not to discriminate bw hindi n kanada.
and to educate them atleast.(to speak english)
