GOOD CAR. I LOVE YOU
i bought the sx-4 zxi in may 2007. from the very 1st month i was facing clutch problem & they replaced entire assembly. now in lessthen 3 years both the lower arms need replacement & though the car is under extended
warranty, it is not covered under it as the rubber bushing is melted. this is surely a case of sub standard product. how can car which has never traveled outside mumbai or in any extreme conditions, have rubber parts melt. i am at my wits end after talking to the dealer. also i have found out that extended warranty is just a another gimmick because they have a technical reason for every fault a common customer (car owner) will face. also i am told that the initial models did have some suspension related issue. but then as it is known that in our country one has to fight for every wrong that is done to him. i hope i dont have to go thru this ordeal.

Guys, am another proud owner of Maruti SX4-vxi.
I bought this car almost 3 yrs back and clocked 30k today. Just like folks above stated, the car did have some issues, but in my case everything got covered by dealers. Now, that's heck of a definition- what does 'everything' includes- (here's the list) :-
-Some rubber blocks, they call Pendulums- twice - At fasttrack, Noida-sector 63.
- Swing Arm - Driver side . While doing so, the workshop did something wrong- and made some unintended welding on the Engine Cross, which resulted in other issues. While doing so, they mishandled my car and scratched it from all 4 side, including front bumper in worst state. Not only this, they broke my windscreen as well and the smart Manager asked me to settle this via my insurance policy. After a LOADS of hickups and approaching RM- Mr. Gagan, he intervened and got my Windscreen replaced + bumpers repainted.
I took my car and just after driving 5 kms, I realized that the main issue I went to this workshop for- stands as it was.
I approached 'MotorCraft' Sector-63 and the manager in very diligent way, got my car inspected. Made following additions to the above mentioned list:
-Whole Power Steering Assembly.
-The realized that the earlier center has done some blunder with Engine's Cross block and replaced it too.
-Right side strut and rubber strut mounts.
Eversince then, the car has been trouble free and I have driven around 20k, after initial 10- and this car is pleasure to drive- finally am satisfied.
-The car gives a nice average/litre i.e. around 12-13 and around 16 on highways.
--GC is always a huge plus, I can glide over areas where my Honda City (I have this one as well) needs a break of caution.
-Inside is huge and airy.
-Boot is another added cabin to the car
-As a driver, the seat is high and clear, comfortable - no other car in the segment gives you that feel.
- Larger tyres run extra, I have hit 30k and tyres look only half gone.
I'd leave few items for other proud owners, the list of 'pluses' is huge.
