[Resolved]  maruti sx4 — Non-availability of proper Grievance Redressal procedure

I own a Maruti SX4 purchased six months back. I had gone for the second free service of the vehicle to the local Maruti dealer's workshop at Roorkee (Uttaranchal). The service adviser gave me an estimate of Rs.1200/- for a so-called free service!!! On enquiry, he told me that since tyre rotation will be done, it will required wheel balancing and alignment of the vehicle and I shall have to pay for it. When I asked him that why should wheel balancing and alignment be done just after 5000 kms, since the vehicle is not showing any running problem and abonormal tyre wear, they told me that if you don't want this work to be done we shall not do it. However, in such a case, we shall not be responsible if the vehicle does not perform satisfactorily. They then reduced the estimate to a mere Rs. 70/-!!! I returned without getting the car serviced, since I was put off by their behaviour.

I have gone through the owner's manual given by the company carefully but did not find any mention of the requirement of wheel balancing and alignment with tyre rotation. I then visited the company website and submitted a query asking what was the company position/recommendation on the requirement of balancing/alignment with wheel rotation. Despite repeated requests, the company refused to provide me a clear reply. Instead, they wrote back that I should contact with one of their dealers/workshops for this clarification. It appears that the company is in collusion with its dealers/authorized workshops to fleece the customers.

I have tried to search their website for the name or address of a suitable official to whom complaint can be made, but could not find one except the same "Contact Us" link which does not want to commit anything. Despite a lot of hullabulloo about their service network, they have not provided any greivance-redressal mechanism. They should have appointed some senior executive to look into the complaints and provided his contact details on their website.

SIMILIAR IS THE CASE WITH RANA MOTORS, SAFDARJUNG, NEW DELHI.

THEY ARE THE BIG LIARS & CHEATS AND HOPE MARUTI REPRESENTS THEM AS NO ONE RESPONDS ON NELSON MANDELA OFFICE, NDLS
Is always good to do wheel alignment and balancing every 4000 kms for better tyre mileage. Its recommended by almost all tyre & car manufactures
This is what they call customer satisfaction, recently I owned a Wagon-R duo, Just after 1400 Km.it's fuel injector got choked when i approached the maruti servicing centre at GIDC Vadodara they repaired it & asked me to pay for it when I approached their service manager that the vehicle has run only 1400 Km & I am having your extended Warranty alos he started giving all excuses that it is not covered in warranty the fuel might be adulterated, you might have not driven car on petrol so on...& they charged money from me. I"ll advice people not to buy this problem creating vehicle rather go for Santro, Indica or some other car.

i own a sx4 zxi, its 8 months old now, being in army my veh hardly runs, just done 1500km, but i noticed dots on both the side skirts . these abrassions are unusual, i dont know wats the reason, but answer i got from the sirvice centre is its due to running of car small stones hits the sides, well i guess i dont drive it side ways. watever some body needs to be contacted and GOD KNOWS WHO IS THE LAST MAN. at times i do feel my santro is a better purchase 5 yrs company services are beyond match . GUESS I DID A WRONG BUY shd have gone for a verna then this . no complaints for car as such its the post sale services and respose thts pethetic
i purchased a Maruti new Estilo LXI from SB cars on 04 oct. 2009. the show room provided me an exchange bonus of Rs. 5, 000/- saying that there no exchange bonus on new estilo. after two day of delivery, another dealer advertised Exchange bonus of Rs. 15, 000/ on new estilo. SBCar is not accepting this fact. i had communicated to the maruti authrities ( Especially to TSM, Maruti), But i am getting solution from any plateform.

I FEEL CHEATED AND THIS HAPPEN IN CASE OF No. 01 MARUTI SUZUKI..

If any one suggest me / provide me email IDs of Maruti GM and Marketing manager / or higher authorities, it will be helpful to me.
I wish to complain about the murdgauard fitments of maruti Swift. Locks of both front and rear mudgaurd are too fragile and often come out giving very poor look to the vehicle. It is a good car but spoiled by its poor fitment. In addition the tyre mud gaurad again gave same problems. Locks are poorly designed.
Please look into it to improve the over all package.
I had been using maruti sx4, The car is providing good road grip and also it is easy to drive the car inspite of its large size. Thanks to Maruti for providing a value added sedan in an affordable price
Service providers of Maruti cars are simly encashing & enjoying the present good reputation of the car alike Maruti India Ltd. People are still keeping faith on the car due to its on road sirvice, which is really very good.
I purchased a new Wagon R on 20th Nov' 2010 from SABOO RKS Motors, Secunderabad. From the first day onwards some sounds were coming from the car and on 25th Nov' 2010 when I called the service people to check the problem, they said that there is a problem with the A/C and silencer and they took the car to the service center on 26th Nov' 2010 to repair it. I dono how the PDI Certification was done to this car when there is a defect in it. Now we are claiming for a new car but the showroom people are trying to show this as a minor problem not a manufacturing defect.

Can anyone please suggest me whether I can approach Consumer court for this issue?
