I have been witnessed for mis-selling of policy by max new york life insurance. I had been committed that if I take their policy, I will be given overdraft account from standard charted bank as they have tie up with this bank. They said the same every time when called me.
After taking the policy, every time, they started to give different reasons. They said that they are waiting for the copy of policy document at their side as well. This was just because they were waiting the time to be passed so that I will not be able to cancel the policy.
Finally, they said that there is no such a schem. And I still had some time to cancel my policy and I did the same.
But MNYL was not interested to cancel my policy and they made me visit their branch approximate 5 times, my bank branch once and more than 100 times call to their office and my bank. Also, I placed the letter from my bank. Along with it, I requested my credit card statement from my bank.
I never find MNYL any time interested in my policy cancellation and the cheating they did with me.
Today, after struggling about 3 months, I got my money back.
