[Resolved] MTS Data Card — Wrong billing | |||
Hi, I am Arpitha from Mysore. Me and my friends have bought a datacard from MTS under corporate offer (details of the card no and connection date will be updated soon). We have paid the first month bill amount also for which a genuine bill has been sent our respective postal address. But for the second month onwards, although there was no browsing session going on we could see in the log and in the connection window of the "MTS Connect software" data usage being shown and hence billing for even not using the internet at all. On top of this I specifically didn't receive my second month bill but instead received a chain of calls from MTS executives asking me to pay the bills. I kept on insisting to provide a bill so that I can really look into my actual bandwidth usage and find out the discrepancies in the bill amount. The calls from MTS executives continued for 2months and then suddenly I have recieved an 'Advocate Notice' to clear the outstanding bill amount including the losses incurred by MTS to send this legal notice to me which amounts to 1600/- INR. I have also received a call from the advocate threatening me to clear the bills or else I would be subjected to attend court hearing in Delhi. Finally I have decided to approach the consumer forum expecting a relief from all these nuisance. I need to know how I can proceed with this further. Please assist me. My friends have also received the legal notice asking for the payment of outstanding bill (a bill which is not genuine and wrongly made). Was this information helpful? | |||
