Complaint against street dogs
Hi Sir/Madam,

My name is pramod would like to bring your kind attention on the problem which Dr. Ambedkar Nagar, Sector-4, Near Nirankari Bhawan, New Delhi-11062 areas people facing in these days. There are so many mad street dogs in this locality because of them it’s very difficult to take step out from our houses especially at night. I come late night from my office and I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and they come closer to the motor bike rider to bite them. Sometime biker loses their consideration from the road which becomes a cause of serious causalities.

Generally, these dogs you can see lying on the roads and they make their victim the entire person who passes from them. I have fallen on the bike two times as well. So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send immediately Dog catcher team in this area so that we will get rid of this problem soon.

Thanks.

Subject: Nuisance by stray/street dogs in our area
*********************************************************

Hi, writing this to inform you that in our residential area the stray dogs are increasing day by day and creating nuisance on the streets.

They are in groups of 6-8 and keep fighting & barking almost all the time. Couple of days back also chased a boy on the street. Thank God they didn't bite him but there is no guarantee that they will not bite next time to some other passer-by.

These days they have started climbing on the cars at night and sit there. Due to this they started damaging cars by chewing antenna or mud flap or scratching the bonnet while climbing or denting the roof of the car by sitting on it.

If we try to shoo them, they start giving angry look of a kind. Don't know when there mood swing and they attack us.

In our building, one couple daily throw biscuits or other food to them at night from there balcony due to which these dogs keep staying there in front itself.

I asked and requested by all means to them to not to do that but it seams they are not ready to cooperate or understand.

Please help us to get rid of these dogs.

I had requested the MCD Green Park office (Complain Phone No. #[protected] to take action & filed a complain (# 1474).

Sir,
I am living in Pitampura. It is very much clear that entire DELHI is full of DOGS.A newly mother bit me on 10 sep. came silently from back & BIT very hard .It bleed so VIOLENTLY that I had to go hospital. Last 10 painful sleepless nights forced me to search & write this letter to you
According to PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMAL ACT 1960
- No govt authority can pick a stray dog, Only implement birth control (dog) rules.
- Municipal bodies should have constructed a 'DOG POND" where stray dogs find shelter food medical help
So my queries are-------
[protected]If above BIRTH CONTROL (DOG) rules are being followed by govt authorities then how these dogs are multiplying

[protected]Is there any DOG POND in Delhi. If yes then why street dog are not there

It is my humble request to do something that coming generation do not fear walking in park & on road .
I hope a situation will not come when the govt will have to make an act "PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO MANKIND BY ANIMAL ACT"
Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Indu, resident from Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar. This is to bring to your kind attention that I called up the MCD last week and requested them to catch the street dogs from our area for which the response that I got was it will take 2-3 days. First of all I don't understand why it will take 2-3 days to catch the street dogs and the second concern is that its been more than 5 days now and there is no action. Its getting difficult to survive here as these dogs bark on every single person who try to pass and this even cause difficult for us to sleep at the night. They even bark at bikers and small children. We are really getting irritated with these dogs. They even have some kind of disease which is harmful for human health.

Request you to capture the dogs from this area as soon as possible. If this doesn't get resolved soon then I will be forced to take next step.

Thanking You,
Indu Menon

According to the LAW, unless the dog is rabid (and that is something that is ascertained by more than one government medical practitioner, not something you can just decide. They will be killed in that case.) Stray dogs can only be neutered and returned to the exact same place they were taken from. Neutering usually takes less than a day and sometimes keeps the dogs for three days. So No. Learn to be nice to them or ignore them. They'll ignore you too.

Dogs attack when they feel threatened. Don't threaten them. Be nice and they'll be nice to you too.

They aren't doing anything about it, because you all are requesting them to break the law for your convenience something a governmental body is not allowed to do.
