[Resolved]  Onida - Split AC — Faulty product and poor service

Dear Executive,

I, Dr.Vishal Shah am running successfully 8 beds hospital at Ghodasar-Isanpur location, Ahmedabad-380050.

I had purchased an “Onida Air conditioner” for my hospital from Vijay Sales located at Krishnabaug, Maninagar, Ahmedabad-380008 on[protected] via .

Problem started immediately within 1-2 months with the A.C. whenever we switch on the A.C. ,it stopped either immediately or within 2-3minutes. When ever the compressor starts, power supply automatically cut off for the whole hospital. I called the Onida service centre and the executive attended the call and solved the problem, but for a few days.
I had to call him subsequently for 7-8 times, for which he gave a different reason each time namely capacitor problem, compressor problem, loose wire, etc. Each time he attended and solved the problem temporarily.

Before 2 weeks, I called his manager also whose name is Mr.Akhtar mob no [protected].He once again assured me of solving the problem but at the same time He did not give the permanent solution to the same problem going since last 1year and also ask me that he will start charging now onwards as the warranty period and free service has expired. He has agreed in any way to extend its warranty for a month more. They are not able to find the actual problem and now suggesting that problem is in the ELCB switch which my electrician denies. What if I change that switch which will cost me approximately Rs. 2000 and the problem persists????????? Will they replace my faulty A.C.???

Moreover last week I had some other problem in my second A.C. which is the same model and is in a patient's room. For this problem also, I was not given a satisfactory service.

My question is what if the same problem arises after the period of extra warranty that he has given to me. I also called Mr.Kanu Patel Mob no [protected], who is senior to Mr.Akhtar. But he is also not complying

Details of last 3 complains are

2. Complain no-[protected],dated[protected]
3. Complain no-112471,dated[protected]
4. Last week, he did not give any details.

Model no of my A.C. is smx7227 and IMEI No. is[protected]E. AC bill is in the name of Dr. Jignesh Patel who is my partner. My mobile no is [protected].
Kindly solve my problem because both me and my patients are suffering because of poor service.

Onida - Split AC — Split Ac not working properly

last year i purchased Onida Split AC which is not working properly since its installation. it gives no cooling. Many a times i got it checked from where i purchased it i.e jain Electronics, (Next Showroom) but still no improvement. even they asked to charge gas in it and that too has been done and still it is in the same worse condition. you are requested to register my omplaint and pls suggest me what shoud i do to get the unit changed?

Onida split air conditioner — Poor service

Dear Sir

This is regarding the Onida Split Air Conditioner 1.01-1.5T Model Number SZ12CFL-SZ18CFL which was bought in 2007 from Vismaya Home Appliance, Cochin

We had no issue regarding this product until December 2009, where in the Air conditioner stopped working one fine day.

Since we wanted the best service for our product we called the Onida Service center, they sent the service personnel on Jan 2, 2010.

The person checked the A/c and immediately declared that some board inside need to changed and it will cost roughly Rs 3500/-

We found something fishy and hence we told him that at the moment we do not want it to be replaced. He said he want the service charge of Rs 400/- ( Adonis Electronics Pvt Limited. JOB No[protected] Receipt number 1113.

Please note just for coming and checking we were charged Rs 400/-.

Later we called and local A/C technician who did the job for just Rs 600/- ( Rs 400 repair charge and Rs 150 service charge).

We still cannot come out of the shock how an Onida service personnel could dupe us like this.

We want an explanation for this as when we call your service center we expect certain reliable service not a source to exploit us for money.

The Onida service guy had a new piece of board and he said he can fix it with a new one, which was not even packed and was inside his suitcase. How can one believe it to be new? It could be that he is just replacing the old with another repaired old part.
We want an explanation to this act of exploiting customer Or else this complaint will go to the customer court.


You cannot dupe the customer and treat them like fools. If a customer does not have the technical knowledge of a product it does not mean that he can be fooled and charged money for all the unnecessary things.

If you plan to run a service center like this please rename it as looting centers because they are doing just that instead of providing any service to the customer.

We have given complaint to Mirc electronics for repair of our Onida 1.5 tons split a/c .

However so far no person has turned up.

Repeated reminder has fallen on deaf ears.

What is the use of buying product when services are not renedered in metro city.
