Passport Office — delay in receipt of passport

MY application reference no is F[protected] Date of application[protected].I had applied for reneawl of passport and change of address. The police verification of the same took place at my residence-733, Guru Apartments, Sector-14.Rohini.Delhi-110085.on 14-03-08.The status since then is showing that the case is pending for want of police report.I had gone to the passport office at Bhikaji Cama Place on 21-04-08 .I met the RPO who sent me to the PRO who checked the status and told me what i already knew that my case is pending for want of police report .My problem was not sorted out even after a 4 hr ordeal of standing at the passport office to meet the respective officers.The Pro said I have to wait for police report.How am i supposed to track why the report has not reached the passport office. my childrens verification has come through but not mine.
Over four months have passed since I had applied but nothing positive seems to have happened.
