Passport Office — Date Of Birth Proof In Applying For Passport

1. I am an Army Officer. I have Incom -Tax PAN card which has my Date Of Birth. It is an official document issued by one department of Centre Govt.

2. Recently, I applied for my Passport through an agent and gave him photocopy of my IT PAN Card as a proof of my Date Of Birth which he did nopt accept.

3. May I know the reasons as to Why Incom -Tax PAN Card, issued by the Govt can not be accepted as a documentry proof in support of date of birth.
