[Resolved] Passport Office — Delay in police verification and PCC | |||
Dear Sir, I had visited the passport office on 28.03.2011 to apply the PCC for kuwait in miscellaneous service counter and they said that the police verification was not cleared and hence can not apply for PCC till the police verification was completed. They asked me to meet Adverse Report section. when I met the Adverse Report Section he told me to write a letter for police verification and I had done the same and got signature from deputy passport Officer and handed over that letter to Adverse report section. I inquired him about the approximate time for that process and he said it will take app 10-15 days for police personal to visit your house and after that I need to check the enquiry counter to check whether the police verification was cleared and then apply PCC in miscellaneous service counter. After 15 days I inquired the police station in our area they said nothing has been received for your name. Then I visited the Passport office on 19.04.2011, the Adverse Report Section said that he had not received any such letter (the same person who had received letter from me) and the procedure said earlier won't be said by him and also said that I can apply for PCC but the procedure will be different and it will take 2 months app. to complete. The problem is my visa to Kuwait will expiry will be valid only for 3 months before which I should make my travel otherwise I will lose my employment in my company. Already I had lost one month due to wrong procedure reported and now they were saying it will take another two months to complete which means I want to lose my employment. I hope that you know that still after completion of PCC I need to get attestation from Kuwait Embassy which need app. 15 days then only my company will book my flight ticket with free dates available. I have applied for PCC for Kuwait on 20.04.2011with File No:MASH00807411. Please grant issue of PCC as soon as possible. Thanks in advance. passport — Take long time for the process
Respect Sir,My Parent and brother applied for passport on 13&14 dec 2010 and till date the passport status=(Police Verification Report not received.) ctc the police man he said today are after today will sent the application to the passport office, nearly75 days is over but no proper response in the action

I am also in the similar situation, I got my passport thru Takkal and on extending it in NY, they said there is a adverse report on my passport and I have to make the corrections at RPO office chennai. I am planning to visit chennai during Nov, please let me know how how you proceeded it. When I contacted some agents in chennai they are asking me to renew the passport through regular process which will take 3 months. Your help is appreciated.
I am Suffering as the same. I Have applied in Kolkata PSK for PCC for Kuwait. I have a Employment Visa which I lost 15 days from Issuance that Visa & I don't know when that Police Verification will Completed. Everyday I visit in Special Branch of the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate to inquire my PCC file which come from the Passport Office & Everyday they said No your file is not coming. I don't know what I should I do. Please Help me.

• I’ve issued passport in tatkal quota.
• And called for post passport verification. I attended the same and got verified from police station.
• But after 7 months I got letter from regional passport office that I’ve to give clarifications regarding adverse police verification report about residential proof for 1year before applying the passport.
• I applied for the passport 2 months after completing my degree course. And I completed degree in different district which 75-80 kilometers away from my residential place.
• Keeping this in mind, in police verification report he indicated that I was in hostel during that period, since I was doing my degree course.
• But during my final year there were no regular classes and I’ve carryout project work. Project work can be done elsewhere so I was travelling daily to my college to attend classes, exams and to carryout the project work.
• I went to regional passport office and gave clarifications same as above then they got satisfied with the same. And they informed me they’ll re-initiate the police verification. During this period I was unemployed and was staying in home only and searching job.
• Meanwhile I was waiting for the police verification call, during this I got appointed in merchant navy, for that I’ve go abroad for working.
• Till this period I didn’t get any call from police verification.
• After completing my degree course I was being the fresher unemployed for 2 years and now got the job, so that personally I went to police station and explained the same in the police station, then verbally they granted me to join to the job and assured me that they’ll take care of police verification with my parents.
• Then 2 and half months after my joining to my job, my parents were informed by the police station about police verification of passport.
• So that time they asked my physical presence, since I was working in abroad and working on contract basis it was unable for me attend the police verification.
• Then in police verification report they noted that applicant is not present in the given address during police verification. And he noted the place name from where I boarded the ship.
• Keeping the above point in mind regional passport office has sent a letter to give clarifications whether to impound the passport or not.
• Now I can clarify them about this. But now, if I visit the regional passport office they’ll again re-initiate the police verification and it’ll take time.
• Now I’ve join back to my job otherwise I’ve wait for long time for police verification.
• I do not have any other source to earn money since I’m working on contract basis in merchant navy.
• And if I wait for the police verification then I don’t know how much it’ll take. Later I’ve face problem about my job for rejoining because of long period of gap.

Personal — Delay in police enquiry
Sir,I have applied for passport in hyderabad and it has been 32 days since i have applied for passport. Still my status is: Police Report has not been received. Could you please figure out the reason and resolve as soon as possible.
