[Resolved]  Passport Seva Kendra Bangalore — Pathetic service and utter confusion

Passport seva kendra bangalore is proving to be big inconvenience to people that convenience. I have bitter experience with them. There are lots of issues with new system. Sometimes I feel that old passport processing system at regional passport office wherein people used to directly go to passport office and stand in Q for 3-4 hours was much better than this pathetic "passport seva Kendra". They have following major issues
1) Inconsistency of information provided by website vs customer representatives at toll free number
2) Online booking system has lot of errors.

Issues in online booking of appointment:- I wanted to renew for current passport which is due to expire in Nov 2010 by tatkal scheme. I applied online and wanted to book appointment. On their website, no slot was available in next 2 weeks so I called customer representative. He told me that I can directly walk in to nearest seva Kendra from Bangalore and process application. However, I wanted to double check and called them one more time. Another customer representative told that appointment is must. So I booked date online which was available after 2 weeks ie on 10th of Sept 2010. A funny part starts here. Yesterday at night 7:00 pm I got call from PSK that there is issue in their booking system. It shows that slot is booked but actually it does not book and they asked me to reschedule my appointment to some other day. Now I am trying to find booking slots. There website shows certain timeslots available on 13th, 15th and 20th of Sept but when I try to confirm booking, it throws out errors saying “no slot available”. It seems I have to wait for another couple of weeks to just submit my application!. This is height of stupidity. This is pathetic situation!

Inconsistency of information provided by website vs customer representatives at toll free number:-
Their customer representatives are not well informed and there is lot of miscommunication which leads pain to common public. I wanted to renew my current passport which is going to expire in Nov 2010 by Tatkal scheme, PSK website shows that only two document required ie “current address proof” if current address is different than in existing passport and current passport. So I submitted online application with only those documents. However, one of the customer representatives of PSK told me that I need Annexure F and Annexure I also required even though current passport is valid and needs renewal. I called again to toll free number and there was a another customer representative who told me that annexure F and I are not required!. I am confused now which is true?
TO MY OPINION, THIS PSK IS REALLY HOPELESS SYSTEM AND CASUE MORE TROUBLE TO PEOPLE AND MAKES THEM MORE FRUSTRTED!

Hai my dear friends i have received my passport in june2008 and in the address proof i have submitted my college proof as a temporary address and for my permanent address i submitted ration card of warangal but in the passport i received it simply mentioned as warangal ...so please suggest me how to rectify this error and in the back side of passport they are gave my college address very clear...i.e., college address they gave me full address...and regarding front page only they mentioned as WARANGAL and they dont include my home number ...is it make any trouble in future

passport — A major blunder done by Passport Office,Lucknow,Such a stupid person they are.

I have applied for my Passport on 08/09/2008 and in the normal circumstances it will take am maximum of 3 months but its more then 5 months over but my passport is still not made by this department and u know the foolish and careless thing about this department that there not even a single responsible person to intimate me that there is some issue in my passport processing and this people even dont know what is the exact problem in my case, He is saying that my data is matching with another people & also my photo which is attached on the form is missed somewhere, I request to file a complaint against this person for not having the complete information and not intimating me regarding this issue, the issue is discovered by me when I step forward to know why my passport is taking so long, Actually I Believe the problem is started by PASSPORT office when after approx. one month when no one is coming at my home for my LIU report then I approached to My area's LIU officer Mr. A.K.Verma, He and I both Investigated the case and we found that my passport fee reciept was attached with another person who had applied for his PASSPORT, he is a Kanpur based Person and my PASSPORT form was sent to Kanpur for verification, after that some correction is made and my verification is completed, now I started waiting for my PASSPORT and look at this irresponsible department the guy who is responsible for updating the information about the progress of my request on website is not doing his work and whenever I i login to this website I read the same sentence each time that "ur PASSPORT request is in processing and will be dispatched soon or next week", I want to Lodge a serious complaint against these irresponsible persons so that a Common Indian may maintain its faith in Consumer Fourum.

Passport Service kendra (bangalore) — Incorrect information on website

The Govt of India website states that for a tatkaal application, you have to register online (for Karnataka Residents) and then go as a walk in to the nearest PSK.

when you try to follow these instructions (after registering online), the PSK then enlightens you to the fact that tatkaal applications are still entertained only as per appointments and that walk-ins for tatkaal or any other kind of application is not allowed. this information is no-where on the website.

The in-efficiency of any govt organisation is a given. At the very least, what can be ensured is that the information on their website is correct so people do not waste their time. People who do not live local to the area of the PSK would waste considerable time and effort if they were to believe this information.

I too had a very good experience with the PSK at Marathahalli. I do agree that there is a problem in getting appointments. But after the Call centre asked me to login at 8:00 AM (and I did) I could get the appointment for the very next day. Processing in the office was also very smooth particularly if you book an early morning slot.
The following was my experience at the PSK-Lal Bagh Road
Please try to login using only using only Internet Explorer, as I noticed that Chrome etc don't work for this.

With effect from 17th September 2011, Normal and Tatkaal appointments as applicable will be released at 6 PM instead of 8 AM, No walk-in applicants will, therefore, be allowed except in emergency cases
You should login at around 18.00 hours (6 pm) as they open the online booking at 18.00 hours Sunday to Thursday (as they do not work on Sat/Sunday, they do not open for booking on Friday and Saturday)
Please carry sufficient cash as they accept only cash for payments, about Rs.600/- to Rs. 1000/- per person/per application should suffice, eat well and go as the food available over there is trite and only bread etc, better to carry a full stomach if you don’t want to starve as you will be there all day. There is a photo copier inside the PSK so don’t worry if you have not taken copies of one or two documents. What if their machine is down? Better take copies and go!
Please take a print out of the Bar-coded, online submitted form receipt without fail and photocopies of all documents (should be minimum 1 year old from date of issue) like
1. Online submission form receipt with Bar Code etc, Address proof (DL, Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Voter Card) (No need to upload any documents, you have to carry copies with you and also the originals without fail).
2. ID Proof (PAN Card, Authenticated Bank Statement-with Bank Seal, and sign with your account details and branch details clearly shown-Minimum 1 year statement)
3. Educational Certificates, SSLC, PUC, Degree etc for ECNR clearance, else you will have to go thru ECNR every time you go abroad which is quite a pain.
4. Annexure E if you want a modification in your name, like small correction in spelling etc. (I will upload this format separately, also available in the passport booklet for Rs. 10/)
5. Please avoid touts and others, the process is very easy and user friendly, Help Anna Hazare to fight corruption, do not entertain touts and others, thanks for supporting Anna
5a. After the initial screening you will be sent in to the 'A' counters where your # will be called, if it takes an inordinately long time please ask the staff as you may have missed it when it was called, and they will put it up once again.
5b. After the 'A' counters you will be passed on to the 'B' counters where again your number will be called and after further screening and verification/scanning of all original documents along with photo capture and finger printing/biometrics etc you will be sent to 'C' counters
5c. After the final approval in the 'C' counters you will need to collect the acknowledgement from the exit counter without fail. This is mandatory no matter at what stage you leave the PSK (sometimes you may have to leave it at A, or B stage to get more documents, however, you need not book an appointment to come back once again on the same day or on another day)
5d. They say that you will get the Passport in 15 days to 30 days by speed post/courier. I will update this post further at a later date.
6. Please upload your helpful suggestions and experience in all Govt offices to help other new applicants, this is our way of giving back to society.
7. My experience with the staff at PSK-Lal bagh road was very pleasant and though I spent the better part of the day for each of our applications along with my wife and two children I must say that the Government employees and the TCS staff and also the Security personnel were all very helpful and friendly and I congratulate the trainers and the staff who have worked tirelessly to provide this type of impeccable service when the demand is so high. The systems in place are excellent and on par with international standards.

9. All above information is correct as on 17th Sept 2011, please check for changes and updates before you experience all this yourself.

AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS, I GOT THE APPOINTMENT, THEN THEY SAY MY FATHERS NAME IN HINDI DOESNT MATCH THE ONE IN MY MARKS CARD, WHICH IS A MINOR ERROR (ONLY A SPELLING MISTAKE - ONE LETTER ) . SO THEY TOLD ME TO MAKE A NEW BIRTH CERTIFICATE . WHAT [protected] YOU SUCK PASSPORT SERVICELESS KENDRAS . THIS IS MY FRUSTRATING VIEW OF THIS USELESS PIECE OF GOVERNMENT MONEY WASTE .

todat 25/04/2012 i had got an oppointment for tatkaal quota through online, as you all know getting tatkaal oppointment is so difficult, according to passport website, thye message is to get appointment dailyt at 6:00 pm, funny part is the site will get hung wiht in 45 seconds and later we get message "sorr no seats available try fr next day"

aftre fighting so much i finally got an appointment, when i reached passport office at the first verificaytion step, i was surprised to hear my appointment was cancled, it seems i had cancleed my own appointmnt its so funny

later they said my appointment is rescheduled at marathalli, how can it be possible thye site is up for 1 min and in that can i book an oppointment and later schedule, this is really funny

yes, PSKs are useless... They do not think. Brainless people are working there. Government has made a mess by privatizing this passport works for people. Even though application is filled peoperly and other documents submitted with all the correct details, the workers in PSK do one or the other mistakes... Uneducated are working... PSKs just suck people money through passport agents. They will do some mistakes, RPO koramangala will say we will not correct it. Get it corrected through PSK. So agents will also get money and Government will also get its money through fees... They create lot of problems with people's career... by doing such mistakes... They will goto hell and get burned...

I had been to passport seva kendra in marthahalli opposite to intel. i had very very bad experience with TCS services.

1) once A section is completed i waited for 5hrs for B section, waiting is fine with me but there's a problem with the name in birth certificate.at B counter B4 counter on 20/08/2014 said there should be a change of name and to be published in newspaper, required two paper cuttings.
2) Hence i spent 2000/- for name change and published and submitted the documents on 22/08/2014. but now the lady sitting in B2 counter said that complete Birth certificate is wrong do a fresh birth certificate.
when these people dont know what are the documents required and what is the remedy for any problem in the documents submitted, please dont give wrong information and waste our money and time.

i request govt to please train TCS staff properly and tell them to give the correct information

i am very dissppointed with there work and these people dont even have patience to provide the information also.tt

we are also humans and have self respect please dont play with it. i wasted my money and time because of this wrong informaton given by staff, they themselves does't know anything.if you guys dont know something please dont give wrong information

very bad work.
