[Resolved]  Railway Department — Confirm ticket but cant travel due to railway mis management

I had booked my ticket by internet on 30/062009 from Ludhiana to New Delhi journey date 05/07/2009 by Shane Punjab Train No. -2498 time 5.25p, m. I had a confirmed reservation (Seat no. 18 & 14 coach D6) with PNR Number -[protected] . The confirmation of electronic reservation slip with the same details is attached herewith.

On[protected], when we reached Ludhiyana station at 4.40 P.m. to board the train, I Listened that the train was 20 minutes late. Finally train come we saw train is full and doors were locked from inside. Only one door was opened from where some passenger get down and we couldn’t get into the train. After 5 minutes train started to depart but my wife and my 3 years son were fell down from train when we were trying to get into the train coach no D-6. Some people came to help us. No guard or TC were available on the platform when train come and depart. It was such a disgusting experience after the reserved ticket we (and few people) could not board the train.

When we go to station master room and informed him about this problem he told us that they were helpless and they told us that we should go to Superintendent room and he will help you and they could not help us. After that we went to Superintendent room and told him about this problem but he told us that ‘due to heavy rush’ the incident occurred and he will give us TDR. I requested him to please provide us a confirm ticket of other train AC or Non Ac coach, we were ready to pay the ticket charges but he did not accept and finally he give me TDR Slip.

And after that we left the station and returned Delhi by PRTC Bus and reached Delhi at 2.20am. We had not taken dinner, we had suffered with headache and my son was also crying whole night during journey.

We ask the Superintendent, Senior Officer and railway Minister what is meaning of heavy rush where only reserved seat passenger can travel in the train I cant understand what is meaning of reserved seat when reserve seat passenger could not board the train, instead waiting list or some without ticket passenger are traveling in the train and also locking the doors from inside the train. This is lackness of our railway security system and mismanagement where some people traveling without ticket and with waiting ticket.

How can we give permission to enter the railway station with waiting ticket and without ticket entrance. I think only reserved ticket passenger is allowed to enter the railway station. I request you to please arrange some more security and TC in all railway station.

Our suggestion is please donot enter the railway station with waiting ticket only confirm ticket passenger shall enter the railway station so that every passenger.

An early action in this regard is highly appreciated

With Commonwealth games coming to Delhi is this the manner the railways is going to behave with guests. Its our country and atleast it can be ensured guys like these dont behave this manner to our guests and rules and regulations are made clear to the entire staff beforehand. We need to believe it our home"our country". It can be ensured by punitive approach ot reformative approach.
