[Resolved]  Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ — Wrongly charged bill

I am holding a netconnect broadband+ account no.: [protected]

I was on a 10GB city wide plan. as I thought i would exceed by 10 GB limit i called up customer care and asked do you have an add on option..to which i was suggested that I can get a 10 GB night add on plan and my total bill would be Rs. 1298

I was also informed that for the new 10GB night plan I would only get the applicable usage on pro rata basis...but was never informed that the plan I already am having(10GB city wide) will be terminated and a new plan would be set in...no information...no warning...I had even asked the guy what my current usage was and he told me its some 4GB..

.if i had known i would be paying some extra 7K for this purported change of plan would i not have bought a new connection...

Now when I get my bill I am told your previous plan of 10Gb got terminated on 29th june...as there was change of plan and not and add on plan as told by the customer care agent... and as you had used more than the pro rata at that time you will be charged some INR 6700 for it...Now what the heck is this


1. If i my earlier plan was terminated why was I not informed by the customer care agent...

2. The 10 GB night plan appeared as an add on pack till june(on the rconnect website) now there is no such plan so you guys start cheating customers by telling them they had changed plan...

3. as far as my bill is concerned by peak time usage is around 9.7 GB(for the period 25th june to 25 july) and off peak usage is 7.5 so it should be considered within limits.

4. If you are changing rules, like turning add on packages to package change, are you not supposed to inform the customer.

5. you guys must be out of your minds to think i would be paying 8000 rs for using 9.7 GB(peak) and 7.5GB(off peak) during the month when my total allowed usage is 20GB.

Reliance Broadnet — Wrongly charged for usage

Reliance broadnet was installed at my house on 4th april. the plan opted was 299 which offered 1gb of data transfer and free call worth 50rs. addtional usuage was 90 paisa per MB. The phone connection was blocked on 16th april. customer care informed to pay 9000rs as credit limit was exceeded. Just imagine Rs 9000 for 12 day usage. on seeing the details it was observed data downloaded was 1.5gb (actually i have downloaded about 500-600mb) and 8.5 gb of data upload. 8.5 gb of data upload which is impossible as i have not uploaded any files. The bill also mentions that their was data transfer of 3 gb immediately after the instaaltion of broadnet at my house. on callin customer care they say that you have to pay the amount as its your usuage.

Mai Reliance ka brodnet 75kbps connection ke liye 25/04/2008 ko 1000/-Rs. Pay kiye the. Aou delear ne 01/05/2008 ko conection diya he. Us din se internet 4 and 5 kbps ke speed se chal raha he. Maine lo speed compant darj karvai thi.

Reliance broadnet is a company opened by Anil Ambani just to create hype & he want to keep his finger in every field but doesn't care of the service.
Same is the case with Reliance Mobile, if you call customer care you will not understand whether they are talking English or Hindi or Greek or Latin.The only way they are trying to capture market is by offering low callrates & people are getting into this mess with out knowledge of their service.
Reliance money is one more from his group which though has max. no. of accounts is not having good trading platform tilldate even after one year of its opening. There is no portfolio option till date.Atleast customer service is better there (might be afraid of getting banned bcoz of strict regulations of SEBI). We need to have such a regulator for Telecom & Broadband companies as well.
I have suffered a lot being customer of all these 3 companies.First was Reliance Mobile, terminated the service with in 2 months & next was Reliance Money, still continuing this as the service was good & charges are very low, but a person with sound knowledge on brokerages will still advice to avoid this RelianceMoney bcoz of the complex rules it has on intraday trading (as Many customers lost lakhs of rupees in trading with out understading about this litigations.I was a bit cautious & hence didnt went far in intraday trading.)Otherwise its ok.
And 3rd was the Reliance broadnet which I had suffered from day One. I was not able to get even connected for few days.When called the technician(I made him a frend like with my charm) he said I cant get connected due to the heavy traffic in the evening times & if I go for static IP that will not be an issue.But I lost all my confidence on this company by then, I wanted to test b4 going for a static IP & when browsed it in the morning times, it was like a normal 256kbps speed though my plan was 1MBPS.Hence I decided to disconnect that as I will never be able to use this internet in the evening times which is must for me & in the mornings will get only low speed but not 1MBPS as promised.
Reliance broadnet was installed at my house around 12th of May, 2008. the plan opted was 249 which offered 1gb of data transfer and free call worth 50rs. additional usage was 90 paisa per MB. It was communicated to me that if I will subscribe any one STD Landline no. for maximum usage then I have to pay additional 50 Rs. and the call charges will be 40 Paise per minute on that particular no., but when I inquired about the same through customer care, they straight a way refused, It was also communicated to me that there will be no charge for surfing net, only I have to pay, when I would be uploading or downloading the data. Which is again wrong information. so I have made stop payment and the same day connection was disconnected (Net as well phone line) from that day I am trying to get in touch with Reliance people, but no one interested to resolve the issue.

This is simply the worst ISP I have ever seen...I opted for 75 KB(b?)ps unlimited plan(Plan - 400).When the sales representative came for collecting the broadband application form and installation they convinced me that the download speed would be 75 KB...But to my utter dismay I discovered that my download speed is not crossing even 10 KB.After that I made several complaints to the customer care but they did not seem to provide me any help...(make sure when you call their customer care be prepared that they are not there to serve you and will make only matters worse and do not pay any heed to your problem)...firstly they told me tht the server is temporarily down and will be solved in 2 days.After somedays when I called back again they told that my download speed is as per the proposed speed as they mentioned a speed of 75kbps and not 75 KBps(Note : 1KBps<kilo Byte/sec> = 9.2~kbps<kilo bit/sec>).I was quite amused.If I get only 9 KBps why should I opt for a broadband...they are clearly cheating the customers by giving false information...so anyone opting for Reliance Broadnet just a word of caution for them...never waste money for a broadband connection which is not even worthy of competing with normal dialup...
I use my Coolpad phone to connect internet! when connected to my desktop it shows 460kbps speed and on laptop it shows only 28kbps speed!

There is speed diff there!! how to have the same speed on laptop which I get on Desktop

Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ — Wrongly Billed for Usage

I am a Reliance Netconnect Broadband+ user. I have been wrongly charged for the usage time for last three bills. For two bills I got the waiver but for the current bill I have been told that the generated bill is correct and no waiver will be given. I had made a complaint 4 times and even visited the Reliance head office in Pune fot the same and I was told that the bill is actually not correct. But still I have not got any waiver and nobody is even trying to look into the matter. I have valid proof to show that the generated bill is wrong. Please help me out so that I get the correct bill from the next time. May be possibe that many people are getting the wrong bill as there is a serious error in there system itself.
I have told them about this problem but it doesn't looks that anyone is concerned to correct this problem.

Reliance Netconnect — Wrongly charged and bad customer care support.

I started using Reliance Netconnect only 2.5 months back. I bought an wireless device for 3500 bucks subscribing to [protected]@Night plan. till now 2 bills are generated from 5 May 09 to 5 June 09 and 5 June 09 to 5 July 09. In both the bills, they have charged me wrongly by almost double the price. I stopped paying the bill. As a result, My service is barred. Its almost 3 weeks that I have used my internet.

When I called the customer care for support and clearance of wrongly charged dues, they are not providing any satisfactory support. All the time, they tell you that "you will get a call in next two days". But these 2 days will never come.

Reliance Netconnect — Wrongly Charged In Bill

My Reliance netconnect No. is [protected] in the Name of Himanshu Kumar Bairoliya. I have made complain on 28th September 2009 on the subject that my bill amount has been wrongly charged. As my plan is 3 gb in day time and 10 gb in night time. As per the usage log of my account given on reliance netconnect website my usage has not been exceeded nither during day time nor during night time. Then also my bill is reflecting more than the plan value. After complaining so many times at customer care center and by sending email also my complaint has not been solved. They said that they have given me the discount of 1800Rs. but still Rs1000 is extra charged without any reason. I questioned them when my usage has not been exceeded then the plan value then why am i being charged, they have no answer for this. At last they said that we have given you 1800 Rs. disount and now we cant take down complain., This is how Reliance Industries is being runned.

i m sangeeta..i had bought reliance netconnect in arn july..took 1099 10gb day plan.my two last bills are amounting to whoppingRs.11000/- ...i have paid all the bills before the last one..i did not use that much..i only surf the net and lil bit of downloading sometimes only...plzzzzzzzzz help...I AM VERY DISTRESSED...

I am using reliance broadband75kb PLAN
The line speed is very low and not staedy.While using automatically and frequently the line was disconnecting(CUT-OFF) many times informed to the agent(Satheesh trading -Ethamozhly road-Kottar-Nagercoil).Their technician came and inspected.Initially they given the modem was (BILLION) after that they replaced other one-same BILLION.Yesterday I went personally asked yearlier I was used the modem (ZTE) that was no complaint as per my request they given the ZTE modem now no cut-off complaint but the line speed is very very low,Moreover I am getting the download speed transfer rate(4to5kb)only.
The above technician while checking he noticed and told "we will inform to the reliance and do the needful"still no action

Two months back I bought your nettconnect modem that was hopeless result so I took again the landline broadband connection.

Kindly arrange for the necessary actions to yearn customer satisfaction.

Any after sales service not taken care of customer ofcourse customer voice towards complaint only.So deal with customer, study and make them understand what is possible and what is impossible.
