[Resolved]  Reliance Telecom Limited — NUMBER TEMPORARILY OUT OF SERVICE

I (Arun Agarwal) am having Reliance Smart number [protected] (kolkata) since last 3.5 yrs. But recently I have shifted to mumbai. So, I have not been using my kolkata number quiet frequently, since it is in roaming.
The number [protected] is a life time number and I make sue that there is sufficient balance. But since last few weeks I am geting to learn that my number has been kept in temorarily out of service. And accordingly to know the reasons, i called to customer service in mumbai. But they told me to contact Kolkata customer care centre. Again I called to kolkata Customer Care, but there customer care executive told me that my number has been scrapped and now I need to submit documents. After telling her that the number belongs to me and it is life time, she told me that she needs to take views from her supervisor. In betn she kept me waiting for more than half an hour. I again called back and again I was kept on hold for more than half an hour. And again I called once again, and this time one gentleman received the call and told me the same thing like number has been scrapped and number no longer belongs to me. After lot of delibrations, he transferred the call to his senior. After having a talk with senior, I tried contacting nodal officer today (12.2.11) but I was not able to get in touch with Nodal officer.
The senior as above has totally different views. According to him, the company had policy to scrap number which are not being used for 2-3 months. And accordingly my numbar has been scrapped even though it is lifetime and has sufficient balance. On asking him, on what grounds or authority company has done so, I got no reply. Kindly look into the problem.
