[Resolved]  Relief India Trust — Fraud NGO.

Address: West Delhi, Delhi

this trust is indeed a fraud. I got a call from this trust by a student call Richa and Seior volunteer call Puja Kaur from No. [protected]. This was in the the month of April. As per the call they needed a donation for a 8 yr old Boy Manoj. As per the call they are able to collect most of the month and are short of Rs. 22000. They gave me repeated calls saying with this left over money of Rs. 22000 if collected they can get the surgery fo the boy done by April end. Some how they made me agree to there story and I made the contribution of Rs. 22000 via ICICI Net bacnking into there account. On receiving the money they mailed be a receipt soft copy and said the surgery is due in April end.
Today they again gave me a call asking for more money for some other case. I just happened to browse the net and found this blog. Here I saw they have been asking for money for Manoj from other clients even in May when as per conversation with me the case is closed. This too some extend confirm they are fraud.
I somehow got the number of Manoj father [protected] and called him today 13th June 2012 and till date that poor family as no clue of the money and are still waiting for some help from Govt AIIMS to get this surgery done.
THIS ORGANISATION IS FRAUD AND PLEASE DONOT CONTRIBUTE.

Hi All, yesterday I got a call for Om Ranjan from the mobile [protected] asking for 65, 000. As Darchary said, the person asked me to open the site (www.reliefindiatrust.org) & then handed over the phone to a senior volunteer who asked me to navigate through the site & select Om Ranjan and go through this details. Then asked me to transfer the amount on the go. As I had a conference call which was going to start in few minutes I said I'll go through it & do the needful later. The person on the other side said it'll take only 2 minutes to make the payment & said they are expecting a good contribution for which I said sternly that let me 1st go through it & will do the needful. He asked me to send the last 4 digits of the transactions so that he can send me the receipt for Tax exception & said he'll give a call after 1 hour & SMSd me.

In the mean time I googled to find the authenticity of this trust & that when luckily I stumbled across this forum. I replied back to that SMS stating that I'm not going to contribute & sent them the link to this forum. I haven't heard from them after that. Thanks guys.

Hi All,

Somehow, they managed to get 1.2 lakhs and asking me to pay whatever be the amount I can donate. We have to stop these kind of frauds. Please tell how we can catch these kind of stupid people. Let's discuss if there is any way to find these kind of frauds and put them in front of all the people and expose them how much they might have cheated innocent people, who tried to help the need. Even, I guess they are trying to catch the prey who are techies, as they would be infront of computers and they would pay in minutes without checking the reviews.

Even I got repeated calls and emotional text messages asking for donation from two numbers ([protected]/[protected])
They started off with 22, 000/- and came down to 1000/- for a child by the name Anuj Kumar.for his treatment in the hospital.
When I agreed at 1000/- they said can you increase it to 1313/- as it will help him with his education and food as well. The child is apparently in hospital fighting for is life at 1.5 years old and they were asking for education and food for him. I became suspicious and checked online which is when I found all the reviews. PLEASE REPORT THIS ORGANISATION TO THE AUTHORITIES AS FRAUD!!!
