[Resolved]  Relief India Trust — Fraud NGO.

Address: West Delhi, Delhi

this trust is indeed a fraud. I got a call from this trust by a student call Richa and Seior volunteer call Puja Kaur from No. [protected]. This was in the the month of April. As per the call they needed a donation for a 8 yr old Boy Manoj. As per the call they are able to collect most of the month and are short of Rs. 22000. They gave me repeated calls saying with this left over money of Rs. 22000 if collected they can get the surgery fo the boy done by April end. Some how they made me agree to there story and I made the contribution of Rs. 22000 via ICICI Net bacnking into there account. On receiving the money they mailed be a receipt soft copy and said the surgery is due in April end.
Today they again gave me a call asking for more money for some other case. I just happened to browse the net and found this blog. Here I saw they have been asking for money for Manoj from other clients even in May when as per conversation with me the case is closed. This too some extend confirm they are fraud.
I somehow got the number of Manoj father [protected] and called him today 13th June 2012 and till date that poor family as no clue of the money and are still waiting for some help from Govt AIIMS to get this surgery done.
THIS ORGANISATION IS FRAUD AND PLEASE DONOT CONTRIBUTE.

I also in fact donated some amount. only to find later that the demand never stops, and the amount is in excess of 10000. From one name or the other they keep on calling, finally in put them in rejected list.
So sympathy is fine, but there are people minting money using genuine sympathy. SO BEWARE before you open your wallet.
I got a call. I checked their website and then did a Google search.
So how do we:

1. Get this thread to the top in the Google search results? Any people adept at SEO might be able to help with that.
2. Who can we report these guys to? Cyber Crime Cell or some other agency?
damn.. i just got a call from this number:[protected]

The guy named, Jatin, mentioned about a girl child 'Pratigya Kumari' (Cancer Patient) and said the same story which I read in other comments.

Fraud indeed.
I read most comments but i have this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relief_India_Trust
is it possible that wikipedia also showing wrong information.
Yes i too got a call from relief India trust on 23 or 24th of July, and presented me the case of baby Pratigya. As has been shown by Vishu. These people are really fraud and above all they are doing the most harm to the society. It is the belief which would die cause of this. Nobody would help others if such people survive in this world.
I got call from this number [protected] and they asked me to donate and I was about donate but

I didn't donate after reading all these comments.

Thanks a lot.
Dear All,

Having made donation(s) to Relief India Trust in the past this thread has come as a shock to me, 'If these allegations are true' this is a very serious activity going around and needs to be curbed.

I request you to please send in a mail with your details (ex: Name, Contact Info(Email, Mobile), How much money You Donated, and other relevant details(like call received from which number, person you talked to)) to sampark[At The Rate]janandolan[DOT]org, I am planning to take this issue further with appropriate authorities.

WTF !!! such a pathetic way of begging... got a call today from[protected]mahesh) AIIMS stating the poor condition of a baby girl PRATIGYA. they wanted chemotherapy to be done immediately and they need 75000 inr. as yesterday was rakshabandhan, they had alredy collected 30000 and were in immediate need of 19000 and almost convinced me in transferring the amount.. he was literally pursuing me to make the transaction online immediately.. but i said that i wanted to confirm with my parents and then will pay surely..
then by GOD'S grace i tripped on this page and came to know about this stinky beggars.. please never ever contribute to any kind of sympathetic and emotional situations via online or account transfer.. IF YOU WANT TO DO SOMETHING ..DO IT IN PERSON... BE THERE, SEE THE CHILD, CONFIRM WITH THE PARENTS AND THEN EXTEND YOUR HELP... IITS REALLY GOOD TO HELP PEOPLE BUT GETTING CHEATED WHILE DOING SO IS WORST.. thank you guys for helping me from the frauds... :-)
The important thing is how they choose their targets for looting.

I guess, you people may have filled in your details on the P&G free sample spam. After even completing my registration, they happened to again send me the email. It was only this way, I had given my details (contact number) to them.

The second way is through snapdeal. Why snapdeal, because snapdeal distribute its client list to other sellers too. I had got call from ALX new York seller too, to buy their products. Though they do not send the email ids, only contact number with name.

And it is too easy looting from those who spend their money online.

So please do not give Ur details to this P&G online free sample distributers and request snapdeal to maintain secrecy in its client list, when such fraud people contact them.
I got a call from this number [protected] from a Vishal Sharma. He didnt sound too authentic. He first thanked me for a donation I made recently and then set about asking for more money. He almost forced me to logon to their website and check Baby Pawan Kumar's details. I said, I dont have a computer in front of me, he said please do it over the phone. Now, this doesnt sound reasonable. I dont think any responsible NGO would permit activities like this. So please beware of Relief India trust
Today I too got call from no. [protected], for baby pratigya. I asked her to send all information at my email. After receiving email i search at google and find this blog. From where they got my mobile number? Big question.

Any amount as possible is being asked for and need Rs. 32930/-for treatment. Please suggest ways to dealt with such an situation.

Got a call from Anshika from [protected]... Asked me to donate Rs 5160 for baby Priya. After reading these comments I didn't donate.

Today I got a call from the no.[protected] from gaurav asking for 36000 for treatment of Riya(3yr and 8months old) for her chemotherapy and he stated that she is in hosptl and we are short of said amount. He called me 3-4 times today and the procedure was same to transfer the money as mentioned by all of you. He did all his emotional drama he can do asking saying about the girl's parents and all that. I said i will visit that girl and her parents and all the 36000 will be given to them personally but he said I can transfer through thier site and blah blah. Its a FAKE NGO
Hi,

On the same note even I got a call today from same NGO asking to donate for surgery of a girl Riya from number [protected] and the lady called herself Vinita.

Just to check authenticity I searched and found this page.

Thanks a lot for informing as I saved myself from these fake callers.
I completely agree. My experience has been ecen worse. We need to get rid of tbis 'Relief india' menace as soon as possible else people will doubt the genuine people who would take up the noble cause of helping the cancer patients.

Sharing few more numbers of the volunteers(read cheats):

They posed as students of delhi university. When i dug deeper into details about college, subj and roll no, they had no proper answers. Besides could not clarify where they got the contact no from. I am dead sure that it is a serious fraud.

We need to give them a lesson. I am ready to join any initiative against them. Please contact me: [protected]
