[Resolved]  Sai Service Station Andheri — Car Service and Warranty problem

I have purchased my Maruti Swift VXI, Reg No. MH-12 EX 6630 from SAI Service, Deccan Pune Branch in Sep-2008. I had taken 2 years extended warranty from SAI SERVICE after much insistence from their Sales Manager. My extended warranty ends in Oct-2012.

I am regularly servicing my car through SAI Service Station from the time of purchase. Initially in SAI Service, Deccan, Pune and thereafter through SAI Service Andheri West, Mumbai as I shifted to Mumbai. I am servicing it in SAI Service only because of Warranty Clause, even though it is too far from my residence. They have been taking advantage of the same and making hefty bills on every service.

Since 2009 I have been regularly complaining about Hard Clutch in my all the services (you can see my job cards).
But that problem was never solved by the service station. In April 2011 during my regular service, service station told that pressure plate is damaged and they changed it at my cost, sighting that they cannot cover the same in warranty as it is wear-n-tear. My problem was still not solved and I again complained about Hard Clutch in my follow-up in June 2011 and my service on 20th Sep 2011. SAI service manager told me that it takes time for new pressure plate and Clutch is fine.

Finally I felt that clutch was not working properly so I again took my car to Sai service station and asked them to check the clutch. Their service engineer told me that clutch is burnt and need to be changed. He told me that clutch plate cannot be covered under warranty as its burnt and they again charged me about 4949/- for replacement of clutch plate. It would have not burnt if they would have replaced / repaired it in my initial complaints. Also I doubt whether it was burnt or they have given that reason to avoid warranty.

I am very very disappointed about the way the service station and especially the way their service centre manager behaved with me on the same. If they don’t have an intention to cover the damages than they should not insist on extended warranty? I have been cheated by SAI SERVICE and I don’t think I will ever recommend the same to anybody.
