I had bought a Sansui Kyuten LCD322 TV in Feb, 2007 for Rs. 40,000. In March 2009, it had a problem of not getting on. I called the service center which sent a mechanic to our house and collected the TV to check on the fault. In a day they called stating that it would cost Rs. 45,000 to replace the faulty part. On threatening them that we would go to the Consumer court for having to pay more than the original cost of the TV, which ironically in that year was only 33 thousand, they promised to make the repair for Rs. 2,300.
Now on Nov 14th, 2011 there is another problem. It suddenly stopped working. I called the toll free no that i was given from the same service center. The very next day i had a mechanic coming over to check the fault. I was told that the power box was not working and that it would cost 5,500 to replace it. On the 3rd day a Mr. Krishnamurthy from Kruba Engineering visited us with the power box. But to our surprise, he said that the one brought by him did not fit. Without giving us an option he removed the existing power box and took it with him saying that he would return with the right power box in 4 hours.
It is 32 hours since then and i still have not heard from him. On the contrary, when I called him to inquire about the status of his progress, he abused me verbally saying that he was not the person. I had been in touch with him since he first called me on the very same no - [protected].
Well I seriously feel this is fraudulent service. I had called the toll free no[protected] twice since yesterday but have only been told that the complain would be forwarded to higher authorities, but to no avail.
I need help.
