i received a mail from shell company that i have won a prize of 800.000 uk pnds. tell me is it true or fake mail.

I also received the same e.mail through SMS regarding Shell Petroleum Company award of 200, 000 GB Pounds. Infact one Dr. Pascal Gazi, Manager operations of FSA also gave me the following account number of their associate in India where an amount of Rs.35960 equivalent to 450 pounds have to be deposited for getting the Fund Release Order certificate namely:

Luckily before proceeding further I opened the site of the consumer complaints section and found that so many people around India have received such messages and got tempted.
Seeing that so many SMSs have been sent to different persons in India, I have come to the conclusion that it is nothing but a malafide design on the part of a group based in England to cheat the public around the world and get money. I understand that people are tempted towards such a big amount but one should discard it at the outset. Genuine prize distributors generally invite the winners at their own cost and no money is asked before the prize is distributed.

Guys I am in london since past 3 years. I have come across many of my friends calling me and asking me to enquire about the letters or email they have received which are same as yours. I am kindly getting in to your notice that all these letters and email are fake. Please dont give out your bank details and do not transfer money to the account number which are provided by them.
