[Resolved] Shoe World — VAT Tax charges above M.R.P (Inclusive of all taxes) without proper vat tin no. on invoice | |||
Shoe World Add: Ashirwad Bldg., Shop No.1, Ground Floor, Ram Maruti Road, Naupada, Thane (W)-400601 Tel:25379899 My brother have bought woodland shoes from this shop which has a M.R.P of Rs. 2795/- (Inclusive of all taxes) as my brother was alone at the time of purchasing the shop keeper (Mr. Sachin/Mr. Nitin) charged him extra vat above M.R.P by 12.5% when i've got news all about these i've asked Mr. Sachin about extra vat charges is not allowed above M.R.P so he refused me by saying we are charging Vat 12.5% extra on branded shoes above M.R.P The invoice which they have provided doesn't mentions vat tin or cst tin no. Hey,
As per the Income tax act no shopkeepers are allowed to take tax unless until they provide the VAT/CST no on the bill. Make a personal visit to the store and chase them. and if it is written MRP inclusive of all the taxes then how come they can charge tax over and above... go and complain in income tax dept or vigilance cell finance section about this cheating.
