[Resolved]  Skoda Laura — AC Compressor Defect

This Vehicle is having a serious Manufacture defect in its AC Compressor. If you are lucky and if this problem comes to your notice with in 2 years then the company will replace free of charge else you have to shell out Rs.80,000/- just for the compressor, which is an Exorbitant price the company is charging, which we can get the same model compressor for Rs.25,000/- from outside.

For a company whose caption is "Obsessed with Quality" it is a full contrast in reality.

After investigating what i found out is that every 1 in 3 Vehicle is having this problem. And the Compressor is made as per the German Standard, which is basically a good one, but in Indian weather condition it is not suitable.
And i also found out that these Vehicles are having small electrical problems like in AC Control Switch, Air Bag Fault ( where Air Bag sensor fails) etc

When this AC Compressor problem develops in Skoda vehicles, a lot of the owners will not notice it until Summer Season. As the cooling drops and in non summer season we will notice the drop in cooling until Summer.

My advice to everyone is avoid buying any Skoda Vehicles until the AC Compressor is made according to Indian Weather conditions.

With the price they are charging for the spares and service charge, it is better to buy a Mercedes Benz.

I am getting a new compressor installed in my car from outside where they are charging only Rs.25,000/- and also give 3 years Guarantee with it.
