[Resolved] South Central Railways — Regarding Emergency quota and RAC | |
Dear Sir/ Madam, I has taken reservation (Sleeper class) for Goutami Super fast express in general quota . I had submited Emergency Quota letter (MP-Rajya Sabha) for berth conformation at Rail Nilayam before 24 hours.They didnot respond the letter and not given the berth.This is Railyways redicules. I had not found any complaint cell in Indian Railway's Website.This is very too much. and also when passengers traveling by RAC, they didnt get any berth in Journy.The TTEs sold the berths for others. I have had the same experience. After submitting the letter with and EQ request 3 days before the journey i went to visit the concerned officer. The office told me that no emergency quota request form me was received by them. In fact I myself went and dropped the letter in the emergency quota drop box. There was nothing more to say.

Everybody complaining against the railways reg EQ, without knowing the fact that...EQ...What it is, ...what for it is...when it will be released...and for whom it will be released... So all the complainants are requested to know the facts first and then complain against railways.
EQ is not for those who brings a letter from MP/MLA or from any other VIP, it is for those are going for emergency .

it is not that you give a letter for release berth under EQ, u get a berth. it depends on the priority of the letter and number of letters they receive. it all depend in the hands of them.
moreover, EQ must be submitted on the day of journey if the departure time is after 12:00 pm. the before day if not.
it is mandatory to confirm the ticket(4 tickets is 3A, 2A and 2 tickets in 1st AC) when the VIP(MP, Minister of state, Whip, any cabinet rank in state) is travelling in person.
If not, the letter issued by them, must not contain more than tow passengers per ticket.
