[Resolved]  Standard Chartered Bank — over limit charges

SIR, IAM HOLDING CREDIT CARD OF STANDARD CHATERED BANK AFTER SO MANY E-MAIL THEY HAVE WRITTEN BELOW MAIL.
IN LAST THEY HAVE MENTION MY CARD IS CANCELL AND I HAVE TO PAY THE REST AMOUNT WHICH THEY HAVE WRITTEN
IN ONE TIME, WHEN I HAVE USE THE EMI CARD HOW AM I SPOSE TO PAY ONE TIME THEY HAVE AGREE WITH THERE MISTAKE AND GIVEN ME IN WRITTING. AS BELOW AND IF I DO NOT THEN THEY WILL CHARGE ME LATE PAYMENT AND INREST CHARGES .PLEASE
LOOK IN TO THIS MATTER.

Dear Mr. Parikh,

This is with reference to your e-mail dated November 25, 2009.

At the outset, we regret the delay in our response.

Further to the telephonic conversation you had with the undersigned,
we confirm the following:

* We observe from our records, that the transaction of Rs. 13,299.00
on May 17, 2009 on your emi card ending 2083.

As per process, any retail transaction above Rs.2,000.00 incurred in
this card will be converted into EMI automatically at an interest rate
of 2% for 24 installments.

* Accordingly, the transaction towards M/s Infiniti has been converted
into EMI's and the same was set up under your instabuy's account
ending 6888.

* Our records indicate that the credit limit on your card account has
been decreased from Rs. 20,000.00 to Rs. 5,000.00 with effect from
June 2009.

Please note that the credit limit offered to our customers is
periodically reviewed by us to keep them in line with the customer?s
needs and spending pattern. We have reviewed all customers? credit
line based on various factors such as card usage, repayment pattern
and total credit line being offered on the account. Due to this review
in credit policy, your credit limit has been reduced. We regret any
inconvenience that may have been caused to you due to this revision.

* As the outstanding on your instabuy's account was more than the
assigned limit (i.e Rs. 5,000.00), Over Limit Charge has been debited
to your EMI card ending 2083.

* Your card ending 2083, has been temporarily blocked in our records
as we have not received the repayments for two consecutive months
towards this card account. In the event, when the card account is
temporarily invalidated, the Bank shall apportion your payment in an
appropriate manner to avoid permanent invalidation of your card
account.

Hence, the payment has been apportioned towards your card accounts.

* We have arranged to reverse the following charges billed to your
card ending 2083 along with the service tax. These credits will
reflect in your next statement.

reflect in your next statement.

* Post transfer, there will be an outstanding of Rs. 16,933.16 on your
account ending 6888. Please bring in your payment towards the
outstanding to avoid further levy of charges.
