Standard Chartered Bank Credit Card — Charging unnecessary interest
I have a credit card from standard chartered bank. I don't have any outstanding in the credit. I got a 90 day interest free loan from my card. I made payment 1 week before the due date, but in the credit card statement I have seen a 600 rupees late charge. When I called SCB they told that the loan will be in different account and I need to make a payment and need to call SCB to inform that I have made a payment and ask them to transfer money to the loan account. Since I was not aware of this I haven't called them. When I got the statement I called them and they reversed the Late charges. But in the next month I see a interest of 627 Rupees as I didn't make the payment on time. When I got the loan there is no mention that I need to make a payment and inform SCB to transfer the payment to loan account. I would like to get my money back and SCB should be penalized for cheating the customers Was this information helpful?

I called the customer care and they have told that, intrest free period is only for 90 days, we have to calculate the 90 day period and pay the amount.
