[Resolved]  Standard Chartered Bank — Fraud

Dear All,

This is to warn all of you on the fraud committed by Standard Chartered Bank. My wife has a savings account with the Main (Fort Branch) of the bank. We made a fixed deposit @ 9.25% with the bank and the maturity was due on 31st March 2010. However on maturity the bank till date has not paid the complete interest. This has happened irrespective of my following up with the bank officials over the last 4 months and everytime they repeat the story that their back office has made calculation mistakes and then will rectify it shortly. While first few times it sounded hilarious that the bank didn't have even single soul in back office who could do a 5th standard math, i think 4 months delay is a little too much to take.

While i have decided to take the matter to consumer court, i thought i'd put this up on this website so as to warn you all to pls be very vary of investing with SCB.
