[Resolved]  Standard Chartered — Credit card settlement issue

Hi, I had a credit card some 5 yrs ago.During the year 2006, I decided to close the credit card and made a mutual agreement with the bank to settle the amount in 3 installements for 34K.From the bank , I received the "Offer for settlement of Account" letter. As per the letter, I paid the amounts without fail, but they did not send me the NOC letter.After couple of years ,They used to call me and threatening like , still need to pay the amount (Around 45k).I explianed them clearly that already I paid all the amount as per the offer to settlement letter.But they are saying like , that I paid the amount as late payment.So,Still need to pay the amount up to 45K.
The problem is,I given the PDC check as per the offer letter with the date of 25/05/06.But they put the check for collection on the date of 02/09/06 and the check is cleared without fail.Here they says that its the late payment.I am sure that its not my fault,I given the check for 5th month and why they put it for collection on 9th month?.I think that they intentionally made delay to put the check for collection and to bounce the check(But I kept the amount for them and not to bounce).After that I got call many times from them and They threatend me that I will be in block liseted customers in some common verificatin system.But I refused to pay the money.Also, I shouted them to send me the NOC letter,but its not happend.Recently (in Oct ,2011), When I approched another bank for housing loan,they said that my name is in block list due to the unpayment for credit card.Please guide me to get out of from this issue.


Note :I have the Credit card offer to settlement letter and bank statements which reflect the amount paid to the bank as per the settlement letter.
