[Resolved] Standard Chartered — Online payment Transaction
I tried to make an online purchase for the item Samsung mobile S Duos for the amount Rs.14,872 using my Standard Chartered credit card, but the transaction failed but the amount was not reversed to my account till now.
I had raised a dispute on the transaction done in my credit card ([protected]) dated 12-dec-12. The merchant was SUPERNOVA RETAIL MUMBAI.
The transaction failed and the merchant nor the payment gateway received the amount. I have checked with the Merchant whether they have received the amount from Standard Chartered bank, but the response was negative. I have the detailed mail conversation which was made with the merchant as evidence. Here merchant has clearly stated that they nor the payment gateway have received the amount from the bank. There were only few failed attempts using this Standard Chartered credit card.
Thus the amount debited from the card must have been reversed back. But it didn't happen, instead the amount was converted into EMIs and starting accounting in a separate account linked to the credit card. And as per the instruction from the customer care, I duly paid the EMIs regularly in 3 months(Jan, Feb & Mar) hoping that this transaction of amount Rs.14872 would be reversed back. But still the amount is not yet reversed into my account.
I had raised a complaint on 6-Feb-2013, complaint no: [protected]. It has been more than 45 working days and I am yet to receive any response from the bank. When checked with the customer care, they say the dispute is with the status "THE CASE IS CLOSED". But till now I have not received any updates on it. I had raised one more complaint for tracking the status of the above complaint (No:[protected]) which also went in vain.
Please look into this issue and provide me a solution. Thanks.
