[Resolved]  State Bank of India — PENALTY IMPOSED FOR LATE PAYMENT

I am a SBI Credit card customer
My Credit card No.[protected]
As per the latest bill payment copy dt.[protected] an amount of Rs.700/- has been imposed as penalty for late payment of minimum amount due for the outstanding amount due to your bank. The pay by date is[protected] whereas I have paid the instalment amount on[protected] by one date late. I am a regular customer using your card and I neven paid the amount after due date. Due to some unavoidable circumstances only I paid the amount through ATM on[protected]. Taking my previous payment record I request the authorities to reverse the Debit amount of Rs.700/- in the next Credit card payment bill.

Credit Card — about penalty on late payment

i have recived cradit card from axis bank. but i have problem with transection. my bills last date is 29th february. and i was pay on 29th february. but bank is credited this payment on 1st march and bank is recevid penelty chargis from me.

I had burrowed the loan on my credit card of Rs. 87000/- & also had credit card outstanding about Rs.70, 000/- however I am ready settle both the amount but only my concern is I can settle only one amount at a time, i.e. I will settle loan amount first in three slab as follows
May 40, 000/-
June 20, 000/-
July 20, 000/-
As per the settlement manager Mr. Sameer Sayeed, but he is forcing & pressurizing me to pay both the settlement amount at a time which not possible due to I am going through huge financial crisis due to loss in business, I would request you to look into concern and convert my credit card outstanding amount into the loan and would pay back all the amount in the form of EMI (Every Month Installment) and also settle the Loan amount as per the slab.

Credit Card — unnecessary penalties,Harassment

Sir,
I possess a Credit Card No.[protected]. My credit card transaction has been stopped as my card has been cancelled and ceased by the bank without informing me about such action, it is an injustice with me. I have made every payment which is due on me.If you check your records you will find I have not made a single use of your money and made the payment of every such expense which I have incurred. But I have made unnecessary liable for payment which I am not suppose to pay because this payment only include the late payment fees and its interest over the same.Sir I have always asked for the statements of my monthly transactions to your customer service and in this regard I have made many complaints as on:
1. Dt.20/11/2006 to Ryali Bharadwaj, Payment assistant Unit, New Delhi,
2. Dt.16/12/2006 to SBI Credit Card Dep., New Delhi,
3. Dt.24/03/2008 to Aditi Arora, The AVP Customer Services, SBI Cards,Gurgaon
4. Dt.18/06/2008 to Aditi Arora, SBI Cards Gurgaon
5. Dt.09/10/2008 to Aditi Arora,The AVP Customer Services, SBI Cards,Gurgaon
6. Dt.11/11/2008 to Pooja Mehara, Manager Customer Services, New Delhi,

where in the case of letter of No.5 I had made the payment of the due amount of Rs.4093/- by cheque No.242849 dated 03/05/2008 and which got cleared from my account but still I got the letter demanding for the payment of the amount from you, and again the late fees and interest over the same was charged on me. Hence this is not the first time happened with me.The monthly statements were deliver always after the date of my payment due date and then if my payment got late is it not supposed to be my fault because from the start I was demanding the statements on time. Internet access was not possible for me to have a online look over the bill. and irrespective of my demands for the statements I was not given the statement in time and this is because now my due payment shown by you is about Rs.26,000/- which is beyond my credit limit and only include late fees and interest. This is a injustice happening with me and I am asking for justice from you. Please see my records and reduce all unnecessary late fees and interest levied on me and let me use my credit card because now the Vasuliwalas are coming at my House threating my wife and daughter for the payment.

SBI Credit Card — Penalty

I applied for SBI credit card on 2006 around September.They almost collect more than 5 sets of documents stating we need another copy.And I was told my credit card has been approved and some guy called for Health insurance and asked to pay 333rs every month.I accepted it.However i got the card only on March 2007 and i was shocked as the credit card when i received was blocked due to payment due.When I enquired they said insurace is active from october and i have to pay around 1800+
(with int for late payment).They also said whether i received the card or not i have to pay the insurance rite from i accepted it.(Dont know how i will pay and to whom..!)I rejected it and asked them revert the charges and said i will pay 333rs rite from that month as i received only on march.they didnt accepted it..and every month they started sending bills with int for non-payment.I cleared told them i cannot accept that..its almost 2010 now and my SBI bill is rs18,000+..Card validiy itself has endedup..And i have never used that card..I dont know what to do now..Thinking to raise a complain with RBI..

SBI Credit Card — wrong fine and penalties

Details of my case:
a) Rs.5000/- dt.01/04/2008 I used first credit. On 24/04/2008 I paid Rs.500/- by cash to the executive at my residence and I asked for original statement. On 26/04/2008 I received 1st statement dated 13/04/2008 stated outstanding Rs.5917.13 within 12 days how could they charge Rs.917.13 extra as late fees, where as my credit limit was for 60 days. After that on 21/06/2008 I received 2nd statement dated 13/06/2008 stated outstanding Rs.6427.98 now after 72 days they are charging Rs.1927.98 extra as late fees for what? Can’t they send any reminder for dues? Then I paid Rs.4500/- by cheque which was debited to my account on 27/06/2008.

b) Rs.2480/- dt.19/04/2008 I used second credit for IRCTC (Rail Ticket). On 24/04/2008 Rs.2420/- credited back due to rail ticket cancellation. That means only Rs.60/- is outstanding.

c) Rs.3398/- dt.02/07/2008 I used third credit. On 18/08/2008 received statement dated 13/08/2008 stated outstanding Rs.6085/- now you are charging me Rs.2627/- extra for late fees and finance charges. Due to I was not in town payment got delayed from my end and I paid Rs.3398/- on 27/10/2008.

After this I stopped using credit cards and made lots of correspondences to SBI branch and made many phone calls but no response finally on 17/03/2009 I went personally to SBI Mahim, Mumbai office. I explained them whole case and I asked for final settlement. The lady understood the case and asked me now you will have to pay Rs.7200/- as late fees and finance charges. I got shocked the lady said your card is already blocked by our department you cannot use any more.

d) 30/08/2010 I received Last Reminder letter: One time settlement offer dues for Rs.6.706.38 within 30 days to be paid before 20/09/2010.

I am still negotiating with SBI, please help me to resolve this issue.
