[Resolved]  State Bank of India — inspection charges on advances

i am enjoying certain credit facility from your bank and having cash credit / term loan and sme credit plus a/c .

from last 2 years i am observing that the banks system is charging inspection charges on each and every account and whereas as per the policy it should be charged maximum 12000/- per year per SME borrower.

every time i have to write a letter to branch and bring their attention then after they reverse it . Why banks online system is faulty whether it is mistake or done intentially to earn more income because i know more than 20 SME unit who have no knowledge of the fact and been debited excess amount.

Further as per instruction inspection charged is linked with monthly inspection but a term loan opened on march also debited by full amount and not proportionally.

Further a term loan of Rs. 70.00 lacs having outstanding as on march Rs. 10000/- is also charged inspection charges of Rs. 12000/- whereas as per rule it should be charged on outstanding of sept.


This mistake in system is from last 2-3 year and having in knowledge of officer of sbi but unfortunatively they are not rectifying it as only 10-15% people are aware about the fact and bank is getting excess charges from borower.
