[Resolved]  Tamilnadu Electricity Board — Power Cut & Voltage Problem

In Kellys area, Varadammal Garden the Tamilnadu Electricity Board carry out unauthorised power cut daily between 10.30 PM to 12.00 Midnight. This has become a routine for the local TNEB staffs and the reason is unknown. Complaints to their offices were never heard.

There is frequest voltage problem everyday from evening 7.30pm to 11.30pm in No.262A, Dr.Lakshmana swami salai, K.K.Nagar especially in this particular house only we have this problem and others are not having this sort of complaint. We all have 3 phase connection out of that 1 phase is not there for the past one month and 2nd phase is not there for the past 1 week. We complain and they attend to the problem but again the same problem persist they say the main line needs to be checked but it's not been rectified yet . We have only 3 houses in the flat.

We request the HIgher officials to kindly look into the matter and give us permanent solution.

Good Evening Sir/Madam,
I am living in Pasumalai, Madurai-4. Apart from usual power cut from 2-4 pm, our line is regularly two to three times in the night power cut and voltage problem. I used to call them at[protected]Pasumalai) and they said it will come within half an hour. But it will take 45 mts. to switch over. Can you imagine, two to three times in night means, we are totally sleepless some nights.

If it is due to high voltage or some other problem, who is going to rectify, inspite of my repated complaints lodeged through phone and in person.

Let us have some solution for the residence of around 100 families are only affected due to this problem.

Last week there was short Circuit under ground cable there was supply in nuteral fase & all our Home applicane got damager due to this & we called the E.B service they came & made temporaty sollution by disconeting the Under ground cable & given over head calbe as temporaty sollution as on the week No one has come for serviseing

More over the Line man are demanding for Rs.5000.00 for dowing repare work

Reqeust you to kindly take necessary action to resolve the issue with our further dalay
& esclating to Minister level for fast & Imediate action .

I am Suresh, i am resideing at 5, Prabhu Street, Kumaran Nagar, Manavala Nagar, Thiruvallur Distrist, Pin- 602 002.

The Complaint:
Last 2 weeks we are suffering due to power cuts with improper information. Usually morning 8am - 10 am there is regular power faliures and in the night there is no information about the power cuts.

Please rectify it as soon as possible.

In Kellys area, Varadammal Garden,

Very very often almost every day the current is getting cut in Varadammal Garden, Berracha Rd, Kellys, today there is no current from morning 8am till now 6:30pm, we have made more than 10 calls from morning to the EB office no([protected],[protected] the response is either no person in duty or they will come in an hour, very sad to say the EB makes us suffer like this with very lethargic answers... please help us.

In Chennai MGR Nagar, Kurinji street (Near KK Nagar), the Tamilnadu Electricity Board carry out unauthorised power cut daily, and they supply improper voltage frequency. This has become a routine for the local TNEB staffs and the reason is unknown. Complaints to their offices were never heard.

i am residing at nanganallur, ragupathy nagar, 9 th street, ch 114. and my eb office is at moovarasanpet. During evening hours and night hours between 6 pm to 12am there is no supply of proper electricity and even tube light is not working properly, when we made a complaint they said that this will continue for months to come.

I am residing at Sivagami Nagar Extn, Medavakkam Chennai.
There is no proper power cuts, unscheduled, that too at nights @ 8.30 to 11 pm and sometimes @ 10.30 to 12 ... we are suffering a lot.
we are working people.. we are suffering a lot without good sleep.
Please help us.

we are residing at voltas colony, nanganallur. we affected daily for voltage problem after 8.30 pm till early morning. my daughter studying 12th standard. not possible to read and also we are not possible to sleep this is very difficult. we are given complient daily. but not get solution. please take this matter very urgent and solve the problem immediately

The kids and old aged people not able to sleep and they have seek because of power cut. Pls help us and take this complaint to the local TNEB officers to clear this problem.

Regular long power cut for last 2 months

The kids and old aged people not able to sleep and they have seek because of power cut. Pls help us and take this complaint to the local TNEB officers.

I am Sai residing at 9A, Thirukkural 3rd Street, State Bank Colony, Chitlappakkam, Chennai-64. Everyday, during the nights, the power supply is erratic that many of the electrical items gets working without stabilizer has issues. There are no issues during rainy season. Also, it is very difficult to sleep in the nights due to the erratic electricity supply which becomes normal only by 1:00 AM. It would be helpful if the higher up's look into the problem and rectify at the earliest.

we are facing power cut problem in kovilambakkam (medavakkam hi road) area, every time they cut the power night times only, freqeuntly this is happend in this area. its very critical for new born babys, employess who are working whole day and for students. Please take a dissicion on this and solve this area problem immediately

We are facing frequent power cuts during nights in Nanmangalam (kovilambakkam area). the power cuts happen almost thrice every week. The duration of power cuts extends from 4 hours to 9 hours, ensuring sleepless nights. Infants and elderly people are finding it tough. No health measures are taken by the governement in this area to reduce the number of people affected by mosquitos. To make it worse, there are power cuts too.

we are facing continuous power cut / also low low voltage (110volts) @ valasaravakkam, madurai perumal nager area. when we ask/ enquire them. there reply : yes problem solved & now no problem.

every day night, that area consumers really upset with power cut. no one from eb side looked this problem permananently.

when will solve this problem???? we donot know really.

Sir, Gobi Electricity Distribution Circle, Ammapettai Section, Annandampalayam Transformer No 6 have 2 Nos of 100 KVA . 1 No 100KVA was failed on 02.11.2010, the failed Tr. is not put into service upto till date.This Transformer load is carry over to reaming existing 1 No 100 KVA Tr. by giving one side feeder for one day, the same day another one side feeder providing only single phase supply.The next day the above supply system is viz versa. In the locality all the services are agriculture and residential.All the agri service having partner of three to ten nos.TNEB giving alternate day supply only about 1.5 months and tiil continue. This area all of the land having well irrigation only. Due to above type of supply system all the plantation severally affected.Hence, I request that the failed transformer is immediately put into service by healthy one without any further delay.Thanking you.
