I reside in Mohd.Hussain Street, Royapettah and the power went off at 5 am early in the morning. Contacted the local complaint at 28480110 & 28481001, every time they are noting the number newly and there was no response.

At 10 am contacted even the AD and no use.

It is 1 pm now and I registered the complaint with headquarters call centre at 155533.

Hoping for the power to restore.

Getting annoyed why I need to pay EB bills

    I have been running my computer business in Poonamallee high road, Aminjikarai, Chennai - 29 and I am facing acute power shortage and fluctuation for the past one month and I couldn't run my business properly and all my customers went down the drain. It's a pathetic situation here. Please do the needful.

    I am from Veerapandi Kattabomman Street, Velachery, Chennai - 42. In my area and near the street facing power fluctuation for the past one month. Our
    tube lites and computers, ups and all electornics items were Frequently
    damaged. It is very very crictical situation in our and near the street. please do the needful.

      Respected sir,

      I am Srinivasan Ganapathy residing at No.4 Kambar Street,Srinivasanagar,New Perungalathur,Chennai-600063.Our house electricity bill reading was taken today afternoon(August 31 2009).The actual reading in our metre was 15580 units but the reading the TNEB authority entered was 15640.The difference is 60 units and it was charged wrongly.This is a pure negligence of work. Please take action against the official.

      Till 15 th no one came for EB office to take reading.I went EB office and spent three hours to update EB reading and confimred from EB official i can pay bill through online. When i checked thorugh online it says meter reading is not updated. When i called EB office they said i have to come personly to pay the bill..

        I am Barath, 2/21, 1st Cross St., Kamaraj Nagar, Ernavoor, Chennai - 57.
        Last month one day at midnight powercut occured. In the morning we came to know that NEUTRAL is missing and we booked a complaint to the Department through phone and also inperson too. 2 men came at 5 pm and given the line by overhead from the nearby pillar with the wire given by us. Upto date nobody has come and demanding Rs.1000 for doing the work. We called through phone many times and 4 to 5 times inperson too.
        India's No.1 corrupted department is the TNEB. From top to bottom each and every one is demanding bribe.Very bad and very shame.
        Note : for name transfer they are asking Rs.2500 for a single connection.

          Dear Sir,

          Im residing at SaiNagar, Thoraipakkam.As my bill generate everymonth firstweek and payment duedate is 17th of everymonth.Till last month i made all payments offline.This tim i registered to the TNEB site and tried to make a payment.It's showing only INR40.00 rupees to pay, it's not updated acutal payment.So, i requested and sent two mails to the tneb, i didnot got any response.At last i made payment of 40, to avoid any late payment charges.After that visited the TNEB office to enquire the same.They are telling we cannot do anything in this, wait for next two months and pay all the money at once.By this i need to pay more than the actual as the unit rate will increase.How can i responsible for this.Even much before the paymnet date i sent mail(7th of August and 18th August) to the tneb to correct the information.Eventhough they know it's there mistake, they dont want to accept it nor they want to correct it.They are behaving rudely and saying me to pay after two months.If that is the case i need to pay more beacuse of higher units.Please help me in this regard.

            Dear Sir,

            We are resident of Anna Nagar West Extension.

            379 A, East Main Road, Anna Nagar West Extension.

            Yesterday night (17th Aug 09) at about 10.00 pm the power at the residence was out. We complained to the local EB and about 10.30 two persons ( line men )came in a van and said the cable needs to be replaced. Asked us to provide 20 meters of wire. They have also removed the fuse with the pretext that we may have return shock. They have come without any equipment and even with out a torch.

            To day morning, on 18th Aug 09 the same people came and said we need to get 20 meters of wire at Rs.100 /- per meter . They would repair the connections. Otherwise, we have to wait for another 5 - to 7 days without power. They simply left the place without doing anything.

            We are forced to pay the EB men to get the power . A sum of Rs.2000/- towards the wire. No arguments

            We regret to mention the plight of gullible is really pathetic. We thought of bringing this to your notice and necessary action.

            We are tenants of about 10 families are staying #68/40 bharathipuram main street, shenoy nagar, ch-30. Our house owner Mr.Venkatesan was charged Rs.4 per unit for the past 5 yrs, but suddently, he asked us from aug'10 onwards Rs.6 per unit. We feel its too heavily chargable. We had discussed about this charge to him. He harshly reply that the government is charged highly that's why I charged this amount. If you feel its the charge is high, you can immediately vacate the house. We are all middle family, we don't know where to complain and moreover we are not in position to bare the huge amount. So. Please The Tamilnadu government do something regarding series issue. We awaiting the reply from the government or any well wisher.

              Energy Meter Not Working

              I am Thanigaivel, residing at G1 Sai Sarvath, Plot No: 19 Krishna Nagar, (Behind Kovilambakkam Telephone exchange) Nanmangalam, Chennai 117.

              The energy meter installed for our service number:[protected] is not working properly from the month of April 09. I have given a written complaint at Electricity Board office in Keelkattalai in the month of June. Still no action has been taken for the complaint.

              Dear sir,

              We are residing at Kalaivanar street, M.G.R.Nagar. Our street have single phase current. We are facing low voltage problem for the more than 3 years. We have given complaint letter to the respective EB office. After one month also no action taken yet.We all suffering bad. We are not able to use computers and air conditioners at any time in day.Even tube lights also not working with our electronic chokes.

                We live in Venkateswara Nagar, 19th Street, Kottivakkam. We have severe power supply problem in this area. There is so much voltage fluctuation every night and hours of continuous powercut. It happens every day and especially when people want to retire to bed, the power goes off around Nine Pm and contnues till midnight. Also sever voltage fluctuations. Every day complaints are being lodged and the authorities are not taking any action. WE were told that there is going to be another transformer going to be installed in this area to take the load and distribute the load. But it has not happened. Every body including old people, newborn, school going children are all suffering with the inefficient operation of TNEB of this area.

                Someone take positive action and solve this problem.

                House — Power Fluctuation and Power Cut

                My Name is P.Balakrishnan residing in Velachery, Chennai. We are facing the problem with Tamilnanu electricity boad. We are facing the problem that Power fluctuation and power cut in daily basis. They cut the power daily in the evening and Mid nights. How can we live with out power espicialy in night and summer. Also we having 2month old baby. Every time we call in phone they didnot attend the call. They pick up phone only after 20th time of calling and they answered we dont know when the power will be back. It will come in another one hour or 4 hour we dont know excatly like that they said. We already registered the complaints in Electrical depatment. But nobady short out this issue. Still continueing the same problem daily.

                Kindly look in it do the needful.

                Electric Department - Chennai — No proper supply of power since years

                Hello Higher Authorities of Electric Department - Chennai,

                I am residing in 11/12-3, Kalathiappa street, choolai, Chennai and since 6 years I have never received 3 phase current for my colony (rishabh Colony). We are suffering huge loss due to power fluctuation..

                ex:

                1. All our tubelights get bursted dude to power fluctuations
                2. We meet up power cut in every 3 days since the AC of the colony is on..
                3. The only feedback Electric board gives is there is a cable fault..

                I am wondering when are you gouys going to sort this out.. despite giving repeated complaints.

                I too reside in lakshmi apartments, kottivakkam. The power supply is abysmal.Voltage fluctuates so much that tube lights do not work, fans rotate at varying speeds, electronic equipment malfunction.A transformer was to be set up and a concrete scaffolding was put up 5 years ago but there has been no follow up action.
                We have erratic telephone and broadband functioning also !!

                fluctuation in electric load — fluctuation in electric load

                We are experiencing continuous electric fluctuation resulting in stoppage of lift operation, electronic equipments viz air conditioners, TV, bulbs etc konking off. Please look into this and fix up the problem asap.
                I am staying in Swaminathan Nagar, Kottivakkam. We were facing severe power supply problem in this area for the last 5 days . This LowVoltage problem with severe Power fluctuations happens arround 9 PM and continues till midnight . Everyday complaints are being registered, but no action taken by Authority till today. We are suffering a lot due to this. In summer season that to (in a hurrible place in our country )like chennai, its very difficult to manage this kind of problems.

                We are from other states, staying here in chennai for last 1 yr ..In our view, the Electricians are not responding properly, they are very very poor in properly communicating with consumers, We have drawn a very very bad feedback to TNEB.. Need to improve

                I had been living in Kalathumettu Street, Kottivakkam for the past couple of years. In agreement with the above post, I too had been facing terrible power fluctuations in the area between 8 p.m till late night during the past few weeks. Due to this all our electronic gadgets like TV, computer, refrigerator, etc. are getting affected drastically and disrupts our day-to-day activities.

                Kottivakkam has got EB staffs who are good for nothing.They shut down power when there are showers and they forget to turn it on.They are good for sleeping at their night shift.
                I agree completely! I've had a place in Sri Venkateshwara Nagar in Kottivakkam for the last 3 years. Not only are the roads terrible (I've had to change tires due to severe wear and tear just driving on rubble), they get flooded with the smallest of showers and the power situation is terrible. We have power cuts all the time and the voltage fluctuation has destroyed some of our home appliances.
                I am residing kalathumathu 3rd street. I too agree the above said problem. We also face same problem everyday. It should be taken care by TNEB and expecting Govt. reaction towards these problems..
                Ever since cyclone Thane, our SriVenkateshwara nagar has been experiencing voltage fluctuations. It has been particularly bad from last night. The Kottivakkam sub station is a large building with but it does not have a telephone connection. I guess the people working there are not interested in even receiving complaints, let alone attending to them.
                We are staring the Service apartment in Natco Colony, Kottivakkam. We were facing severe power supply problem in this area for the last 10 days. This Low Voltage problem with severe Power fluctuations happens around 9 PM and continues till midnight. Everyday complaints are being registered, but no action taken by Authority till today. We are suffering a lot due to this. In summer season that to (in a horrible place in our country) like chennai, it’s very difficult to manage this kind of problems.

                We are paying more than 25000 in electric bill every two month, but this problem happen my customers this month end vacate. How to compromise my customers please do some solution otherwise vacate the building. Let us know give permanent solution.

                Note: Every day get Power 160 Voltage midnight 180 Voltage only its possible to run 6nos a/c.
                We live in MMM2 Plot No 62 19th Street Venkateshwara Nagar, Kotivakkam.For the last ten days voltage has been a major issue throughout the day. We have not been able to sleep at night as the fans are also not working (forget the acs, they have become prehistoric animals who are unable to keep up with the enviormental pressure called voltage).                 I am residing at E-527, 23rd cross street, Thiruvalluar Nagar, Thiruvanmiur. My house is rental and has only 1 phase available. For the past 2 days we faced horrible electricity fluctuations. Yesterday night the supply went down @2:15 am IST and I spoke to the person in power stationr @02:30 am IST informing him that one of the phase went down on which we actually connected. I waited until 3:00 am IST, and then logged a complaint on the 155333 and the complaint number was 0291 (dated 05th June 2013). Nothing happened hence called the substation against and got informed that all 3 phases are up and running and the problem might be in the electric board in my house. This is not true as I was physically waiting for the foreman to arrive and resolve the issue and no-one turned up. Then I went to the power station and found all the staffs were in deep sleep and no one responded to the call. Finally I called back 155333 @04:00 am IST and the customer care executive confirmed that someone would come in person for sure. Later one of the Foreman came to check the pillar box next to my house @04:45 IST. When enquired the fault was actually on the pillar next to house and took seconds for him to fix the issue.

                I am very much frustrated on the attitude and the service when respective people are very much available and making us to juggle all over for nearly 2.5 hrs without any support. I have a baby to take care and it was very pathetic situation yesterday.

                I request the authorities (JE/AE) to consider this seriously and address them appropriately. - Raja.

                  I am in K.K.nagar for last one week we also facing the un anounced disconnection also when i try to call the 155333 they are poicking up teh phone and no answer for several call.i can hear speaking with some body.If they pickup the call they are telling as we can inform ut it will around 2 hours to rectify it.

                  I am in GST road, opp to venkateshwara teature, I having small browsing center due to offen power cut i cant able run the shop properly .Hence it is requested to scrutinise this issue in a serious manner and also get this Issue resolved as earliest.
                  TNEB is getting cursed for their lethargic activities in case of power cuts.In addition they cut the power without any prior information.All the above the employees enjoy un-interrupted power and the cost per unit is very low for them.They live in A/C and let us die in hot sun.Please have some responsibility and behave like a government official.We don't use the power for free.Give us good service with good quality.

                    i'm from the ashok nagar area, 18th avaenue of 79th street. there have been 70 to 80 residence living across 30 to 40 kids and some aged people. we have been facing the power cut off from the last two three month especially on sunday and late nights, we have been trying to contact the local AE there but he never pick up his mobile eneither for the first time.the EB office numbers always remains engaged . this has been happening for the last two three months. our Eb office pertain to kk nagar division where we have place so many complaints but no action has been taken. to whom so ever this mail is concerned, request them to solve the issue and give the residence of ashok nagar 79th street a permantent solution.

                    Hi, I am living in West Mada Street, Nungambakkam, Chennai. We have been having a regular power cut off for 2/3 hours everyday. Being the center of the city, we had not expected this. Moreover, when we called the EB to inform them, we were asked to call another division. When we called up the other office, we were asked to call Nungambakkam office. There is no proper reply either. Whomsoever reads this mail, it would great if this is taken care of at the earliest.

                    First of all I agree to accept the circulation power cut of 2 hours. I am living in Pillaiyar Kovil Street, Back side of Sivan kovil, Sivakasi.

                    From last 1 1/2 years, TNEB, Sivakasi is doing power cut of 2 hrs at 2pm to 4pm in our area without changing as per circular rule. But all other areas are utilising this circulation facility.

                    Only our area peoples are grabbed the difficulties of this time. You know very well that almost Sivakasi peoples' are sleeping and take rest after lunch. But this facility is not possible for our area peoples.

                    We have contacted the concerned Authorities and replied that we are doing as per our G.O. We don't know that which Government is imposing this type of G.O. for affecting one particular area.

                    We are explaining all to you. As a human being you are aware that all our feelings and difficulties. Kindly take necessary steps for adopting the circulation policy to one and all equal.

That to in my street only 5 houses will be power cut. we have been facing the power cut off from the PAST 1 YEAR CABLE FAULT monthly 5 days power cut, we have been trying to contact the local AE there but he never pick up his mobile eneither for the first time.the EB office numbers always remains engaged . this has been happening for the last two three months. our Eb office pertain to ar division where we have place so many complaints but no action has been taken. to whom so ever this mail is concerned, request them to solve the issue and give the residence of a permantent solution.
                    I am from namakkal district(Anna Nagar area). i am agree the regular power supply & power shutdown schedule but there is government power cut schedule for rural area is 4 hours but in our area the power cut will be more than 12 hours per day(Timings 3am-6am, 9am-12pm, 3pm-6pm, 6.45pm-7.30pm, 8.15pm-9.00pm, 9.45pm-10.30pm, 11.15pm-12.00am)

                    SO OUR AREA 10TH AND 12TH STD STUDENTS SUFFERED A LOT TO STUDY AND THE SICK PATIENTS ARE ALSO SUFFERED.

                    I live in melvisharam and there is a regular powercut between 2am to 3 am(1 hour) 5am to 6 am(1 hour) and 9 am to 12 pm (3 hours) and 3pm to 6pm(3hours) and between 8pm to 9 pm(1 hour) and the last one 11 pm to 12 am ... I know you can find it hard to belive that the goverment takes exactly 10 hours of powercut in our town !! And it has even increased the electirc bill charges !! And let me be honest !                       There is power cut in 53rd street, 9th sector, K.K.Nagar, Chennai - 600078 daily three times a day and mid night for last three months. Our street and 8th street public people and very dissatisfied with the your staff and the goverment. because of daily power cuts in the two streets. yesterday our area people are out of the house at the midnight from 12.30am to 7.00 am we don't sleep. we called the EB office the line are continuesly enchaged and i had directly visit the EB office i stunt because they locked inside will all lights off and they are sleeping inside. but we are killing with the misqutios. There is a continuous power cuts in the two streets frequently. we had already complined to AE more than ten times but its useless. Yours staff treated us like a cows in a clay. we are now living like adam and eve in the ancient times. we are not in the positions to complain because we don't know an proper way to complain. please try to help as to solve this problem and rectify the power cut in the 7th street.

                      I need request letter to relocate TNEB transformer in my approved land

                      Very quick in cutting current but very poor in putting it back

                      When the bill is nearing the due date, the folks from EB office rush to cut the current off, but when it comes to put them back they make a huge delay. I am pretty much annoyed by this behavior.
                      There is a power cut in SBI colony cantonment, trichy near KR LPG gas bunk almost 5 hours has been passed that to in a night time I have given a complaint to various numbers none of them are taking action even I have called ask them none of them are taking seriously we are not able to get sleep that to there are heart patients in our homes none of your staffs are taking seriously we are fed up with this kind of irresponsiblity we request u to take some kind of action

                        Power Cut & Voltage Problem

                        In Chennai Ambattur area(ambattur OT), the Tamilnadu Electricity Board carry out unauthorised power cut daily between 10.30 PM to 12.00 Midnight, and they supply improper voltage frequency. This has become a routine for the local TNEB staffs and the reason is unknown. Complaints to their offices were never heard....

                        Iam residing at admbakkam.Past one month my EB meter nor running, regarding this i gave complaint twice the times and also i informed JE also.Every time they telling that this week we will come.
                        Iam not able to complaint in TNEB site its not working, giving error "not connecting to database"

                        i am sorry to hear ur problem, same thing is happening to me now, i had gone abroad and my meter used to show minimum reading, sometime back when i came back, the eb guy says ur meter is not working and u shld request for a new meter which i did through a letter 3 months back.they fixed a monthly chg of 800 rs until the new meter is installed.inspite of my not being at home i am still forced to pay the minimum amount of 800 rs, my repeated requests to change the meter is met with only postponments.on top of that the AE who is suposed to be in office all day is never avilable whatever time we go..i dont know what to do

                          Dear sir/madam,

                          I Mohamed Zaheer, residing at M19/F1, 1st avenue, Thiruvalluar Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, chennai 600041. This is regarding the EB person wrote down wrong meter reading number(2000 units more then actual) and forcing us to pay the amount.. The EB person finally admited that the mistake was in his part and asking us to pay the amount for the faulty reading which he would keep it in credit and adjust in next subsiquent bills, The bill amount is high and we cannot pay this as per the the EB says.

                          Please kindly let me what action can be taken. it is totally disgusting writing wrong meter reading making us to pay more amount than usage.

                          I have purchased 2 flats from a promoter as per agreemnt in the month of August, 2006.                           The meter provided only on 10.06.2009 at the above address, new flats now is not working for the past 1 month.I have not given written complaints yet.

                          And last two month, the meter was working fine and the minimum charges we paid Rs.40 and Rs.70 we have very limitted usage, but the curent month TNEB lady writes down the average meter reading of Rs.690.

                          I was very much fed up and went to the TNEB office in Madhavaram. Only then I came to know about a complaint notebook, and I made a entry. And I was informed a telephone no. and contact person for the complaint..also stating that I will get the issue solved within a day & ask me to call them if nobody showed up.

                          It was 4 pm, next day and still no one...so I made a call and asked for the person

                          There was a harsh response...

                          You made the complaint yesterday only, wait for some more time...


                          And still no response..

                          What should I do...now. the payment has already paid which is credited back to me if they are wrongly done ?

                            I'm staying at east Chrompet, we people here are facing heavy voltage drop. We don't expect our ACs to be running but expect our fans to run. Fans, Lights are not working almost 80% in a day and most of our electric appliances like motor, tube lights, gets burnt. Recently we formed an association and we gave a letter for a transformer. They have brought the posts and it is lying there for more than two months. When i tried to log a complaint online, all the links in their website works except the complaint link. See how clever they are by disabling the link, so that most people will not go the Office in person and waste time.

                            We are a resident of Raghavan colony west mambalam, voltage fluctuation in our street is so high that every 5 minutes we get low voltage and high voltage resulting in even fans not running at the right pace and thinking about AC is far beyond imagination . This highly disrupts the sleep at night resulting in irritation and fatigue through out the day.

                              government should take prio actions as all eb sucks due to bribery, carelesnees and less workers, our area is a bigger area but but only very few worker available abd they have to care of all the complaints and so even they attend the problem they do it with mistakes so the new bigger faults arises th next weak or so
                              I am living in Nanganallur 5th main road. This area is witnessing interrupted power supply. There is no proper power supply. There is always disturption in power supply. Even though the Electricity Minister Shri. Arcot Veerasamy says that there is no power cut and the power supply is improved, our area is witnessing unusual power cut daily. During day time some time the power goes off for one hour or more and the people especially the old aged citizens are suffering very much. During evening timings the power goes off whenever the EB people wishes. The enquiry reveals that the power supply is very low in Nanganallur area. Due to this interrupted power supply and voltage drops the Nanganallur area people has spend more for their electrical appliances like tube lights, iron boxes, fans etc. Due to interrupted power supply, the school, college going children are suffering very much.
                              Kindly look into the matter and do the needful to enable the Nanganallur area people top live peacefully without any power cut.
                              Sir I am living in 4th Sector, 14th St, K.K. Nagar, Chennai - 600078. Just opposite to my house there is a transformer. Very frequently it bursts like the diwali 1000walla crackers with high sound and light. The electricity cables that are laid in this road are just lying open on the road which has lead to electric shocks for people walking on that side. Numerous times we have reported to the Electricity Board but no permanent actions are being taken. They work on that. For next 2 to 3 days it is ok and again the same problem arises.I request u to immediately take action on this as this situation has put people's life in risk.

                                I am a resident of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. For months together, we have very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. When my electrician checked in the afternoon he said it was 160 volts only. Our AC is not working at that voltage. Hence he advised to put a Double Boost stabilizer, which he said will work even upto 140 volts (costs around Rs.4000). I did that. Even after that during nights, the Double Boost doesn't work after 8.30 or 9.00 pm (It seems voltage drops even below 140 volts !). One more bigger problem is my Computer UPS is not at all getting charged due to low voltage. Whenever I switch on the computer, it stands only for 5 minutes and immediately when there is a fluctuation, the UPS dies and the computer switches off abruptly without properly shutting down. I am afraid I will loose my good equipment like computer, AC, heater, TV etc. Even fans do not gain speed and make eerie noises at night, and we are sweating. My kid could not sleep properly. It is not only for me but for all the residents of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. If such equipment wears out, it will be a calamity for many residents. Thus, hard earned money will be lost due to power shortage and voltage drops. Request TNEB to take necessary steps IMMEDIATELY to stop voltage fluctuation and power cuts. Regards / S Bharathkumaar

                                I am residing in Karthikeyapuram 7th street, Madipakkam. We are facing frequent power cuts and power fluctuation. Incremental flats are approved without checking for sufficient power supply from transformer leads to power cuts and voltage drop during the mid night. We are unable to sleep properly and concentrate on next day work. New apartment is under construction with 12 houses in the 7th street, after the completion of the same we will be facing lots and lots of difficulties with power shortage. It is will be very helpful if separate transformer is provided to our area to lead healthy and peaceful life. Please ask concerned officer to look into this as soon as possible.

                                I live in a 5 flat apartment in govindasamy nagar, madipakkam. I'm having a serious low voltage problem and after 6~7 pm everyday it drops much more. I'm having the exact problems said by mr. S.Bharathkumaar almost 2 years ago. Still no action taken on this issue by the local EB officials. Approving apartments without calculating the power distribution is the biggest problem in this area. And still it worsens as the total tamil nadu power generation crisis grows. If anybody can take up this issue to higher officials, please do it to correct.

                                I am staying in Ullagaram for the past 26 years. Here we have a very bad voltage fluctuation. We are not able to run ACs after 9 PM. The worst part is fan would run as if it is running in 1st or 2nd point. To add to this misery, we have got more flats coming around our house.
                                The only solution is that the EB department should install trasnformers and also urge the flat promoters to install separate transformers for their flats.
                                Hope this would get notified and the problem gets resolved.

                                We are and facing similar issues at Keelkattalai, SRVS colony. The Voltage drops below 160V, after 8pm and the fans are changing speeds constantly, I am not sure if the current frequency is proper or stable in addition to the voltage fluctuations. Moreover even during daytime the TV gets switched off because Stabilizer has low input voltage, same with PC and all electrical appliances. I appeal to the EB department to install power distribution Transformers in the area as quickly as possible.

                                I am a resident of Pillaiyar koil lane, Velachery. For the past 3 weeks, we are facing very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. We are using double booster stabilizera for AC. Even after that, there is no difference. The basic electrical euqipments like fans, lights are also not working.                                 We are facing power fluctuation problem in Yogeswaran street, Madipakkam. After 8 PM, i could not on my PC and AC. I have changed my SMPS twice due low power. It is very sad that the problem is still not solved. It is my humble request to Madipakkam EB office, please rectify the problem and save our costly electronic devices.

                                Nolambur, Sakthi nagar 3rd avenue- we face frequent stoppage of power and daily voltage fluctuation ( 145 to 190 v) even using 2 booster stabilisers we are not able to run our A/c units in this scorching summer. Complained orally to the JE, Nolambur but there is no support/action.(several times)
                                These TNEB Guys are not working properly. During 2008 i shifted to Madipakkam and till now the issue was not sorted out... what the hell they are doing? Such a Worthless TNEB people...

                                  I reside in Parankusapuram street, Kodambakkam with my wife and 1.5 yr old daughter in an apartment. For the past 2 months (April, May 2009) we are facing low voltage after 9.30 pm and very frequent power cuts in the nights.

                                  The line men are seen to over work, but the basic problem is with the old cables and insufficient transformer. The AE seems to be non accessible and the Power house Kodambakkam seem to take only the complains but turn a deaf ear to our woews.
                                  Dear Sir/ Madam,

                                  I refer to my residing in Rumah Pangsa Kos Rendah Taman Bakti Fasa 1. Eversince the new construction started next to my residence. I found that there's consistent of power cut over this area. I hope with this problem log TNB could look into the problem of regular power cut in Taman Bakti Flats.

                                    There is a frequent power cut @ madiapakam ( Karthikeyapuram 12th street ) especially at nights. If at all when the power is provided it is of single phase current serving no purpose. Please ask the concerned authorities to look into this ASAP.
                                    I am a resident of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. For months together, we have very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. When my electrician checked in the afternoon he said it was 160 volts only. Our AC is not working at that voltage. Hence he advised to put a Double Boost stabilizer, which he said will work even upto 140 volts (costs around Rs.4000). I did that. Even after that during nights, the Double Boost doesn't work after 8.30 - 9.00 pm (It seems voltage drops even below 140 volts !). One more bigger problem is my Computer UPS is not at all getting charged due to low voltage. Whenever I switch on the computer, it stands only for 5 minutes and immediately when there is a fluctuation, the UPS dies and the computer switches off abruptly without properly shutting down. I am afraid I will loose my good equipment like computer, AC, heater, TV etc. It is not only for me but for all the residents of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. If such equipment wears out, it will be a calamity for many residents. Thus, hard earned money will be lost due to power shortage and voltage drops. Request TNEB to take necessary steps IMMEDIATELY to stop voltage fluctuation and power cuts. Regards / Bharathkumar
