i'm from the ashok nagar area, 18th avaenue of 79th street. there have been 70 to 80 residence living across 30 to 40 kids and some aged people. we have been facing the power cut off from the last two three month especially on sunday and late nights, we have been trying to contact the local AE there but he never pick up his mobile eneither for the first time.the EB office numbers always remains engaged . this has been happening for the last two three months. our Eb office pertain to kk nagar division where we have place so many complaints but no action has been taken. to whom so ever this mail is concerned, request them to solve the issue and give the residence of ashok nagar 79th street a permantent solution.

I am residing in chennai 600 011. My mobile#[protected]. For the past 01 months there is regualr power cuts in my residentail area. That to in my street only 5 houses will be power cut. We will make regular complaints and they will come and do the same after 2 to 3 hours. We are facing lot of difficult in this regards. Please do the needful at the earliest.Aaiting for your immediate support on this.

Hi, I am living in West Mada Street, Nungambakkam, Chennai. We have been having a regular power cut off for 2/3 hours everyday. Being the center of the city, we had not expected this. Moreover, when we called the EB to inform them, we were asked to call another division. When we called up the other office, we were asked to call Nungambakkam office. There is no proper reply either. Whomsoever reads this mail, it would great if this is taken care of at the earliest.

Dear Sir,

First of all I agree to accept the circulation power cut of 2 hours. I am living in Pillaiyar Kovil Street, Back side of Sivan kovil, Sivakasi.

From last 1 1/2 years, TNEB, Sivakasi is doing power cut of 2 hrs at 2pm to 4pm in our area without changing as per circular rule. But all other areas are utilising this circulation facility.

Only our area peoples are grabbed the difficulties of this time. You know very well that almost Sivakasi peoples' are sleeping and take rest after lunch. But this facility is not possible for our area peoples.

We have contacted the concerned Authorities and replied that we are doing as per our G.O. We don't know that which Government is imposing this type of G.O. for affecting one particular area.

We are explaining all to you. As a human being you are aware that all our feelings and difficulties. Kindly take necessary steps for adopting the circulation policy to one and all equal.

Hope you will comply with our request and will take immediate steps.

In Arcot is very near to melvisharm there in no Power cut what is reasing for that place

sir, i done one project. as per the project we can avoid daily power cut.

i'm from the CHOOLAI area, PLAY GROUND 2 street. That to in my street only 5 houses will be power cut. we have been facing the power cut off from the PAST 1 YEAR CABLE FAULT monthly 5 days power cut, we have been trying to contact the local AE there but he never pick up his mobile eneither for the first time.the EB office numbers always remains engaged . this has been happening for the last two three months. our Eb office pertain to ar division where we have place so many complaints but no action has been taken. to whom so ever this mail is concerned, request them to solve the issue and give the residence of a permantent solution.
I am from namakkal district(Anna Nagar area). i am agree the regular power supply & power shutdown schedule but there is government power cut schedule for rural area is 4 hours but in our area the power cut will be more than 12 hours per day(Timings 3am-6am, 9am-12pm, 3pm-6pm, 6.45pm-7.30pm, 8.15pm-9.00pm, 9.45pm-10.30pm, 11.15pm-12.00am)

SO OUR AREA 10TH AND 12TH STD STUDENTS SUFFERED A LOT TO STUDY AND THE SICK PATIENTS ARE ALSO SUFFERED.

please take necessary action to reduce the power cut in our area as soon as possible...
I live in melvisharam and there is a regular powercut between 2am to 3 am(1 hour) 5am to 6 am(1 hour) and 9 am to 12 pm (3 hours) and 3pm to 6pm(3hours) and between 8pm to 9 pm(1 hour) and the last one 11 pm to 12 am ... I know you can find it hard to belive that the goverment takes exactly 10 hours of powercut in our town !! And it has even increased the electirc bill charges !! And let me be honest ! These powercuts happened after the chief minister changed !! Its very hard for us to study !! Pls just reduce the powercuts timing IF YOU CAN

voltage drop

Voltage drop, low voltage happening past 1.5 months and no one solve the problem in our region. Note: Last months 2 motors are burned in my industrial, please take necessary action and resolve the issue.

    There is power cut in 53rd street, 9th sector, K.K.Nagar, Chennai - 600078 daily three times a day and mid night for last three months. We are extremely fed up with the very low voltage power supply in our area. For the past three months we are facing power fluctuation in our area. We are afraid if this would damage our households. All the 3 phases are very low voltage. If any 1 of the phase is power cut remaining other 2 phases also not working. Already we gave the complaint to Assistant Engineer TNEB and copy of the letter to Counsellor of 128 Circle on[protected]

    My residencial address is no 13/3, 7th street, Rajashanmugam nagar, thiruvottiyur, chennai -19. this address belongs to JOTHI NAGAR EB OFFICE. Our street and 8th street public people and very dissatisfied with the your staff and the goverment. because of daily power cuts in the two streets. yesterday our area people are out of the house at the midnight from 12.30am to 7.00 am we don't sleep. we called the EB office the line are continuesly enchaged and i had directly visit the EB office i stunt because they locked inside will all lights off and they are sleeping inside. but we are killing with the misqutios. There is a continuous power cuts in the two streets frequently. we had already complined to AE more than ten times but its useless. Yours staff treated us like a cows in a clay. we are now living like adam and eve in the ancient times. we are not in the positions to complain because we don't know an proper way to complain. please try to help as to solve this problem and rectify the power cut in the 7th street.

    I need request letter to relocate TNEB transformer in my approved land

    Very quick in cutting current but very poor in putting it back

    When the bill is nearing the due date, the folks from EB office rush to cut the current off, but when it comes to put them back they make a huge delay. I am pretty much annoyed by this behavior.
    There is a power cut in SBI colony cantonment, trichy near KR LPG gas bunk almost 5 hours has been passed that to in a night time I have given a complaint to various numbers none of them are taking action even I have called ask them none of them are taking seriously we are not able to get sleep that to there are heart patients in our homes none of your staffs are taking seriously we are fed up with this kind of irresponsiblity we request u to take some kind of action

      Power Cut & Voltage Problem

      In Chennai Ambattur area(ambattur OT), the Tamilnadu Electricity Board carry out unauthorised power cut daily between 10.30 PM to 12.00 Midnight, and they supply improper voltage frequency. This has become a routine for the local TNEB staffs and the reason is unknown. Complaints to their offices were never heard....

      Dear sir/madam,

      Iam residing at admbakkam.Past one month my EB meter nor running, regarding this i gave complaint twice the times and also i informed JE also.Every time they telling that this week we will come.
      Iam not able to complaint in TNEB site its not working, giving error "not connecting to database"
      so its very touch taget for me to pay the bill.please do the needful as soon as possible.

      i am sorry to hear ur problem, same thing is happening to me now, i had gone abroad and my meter used to show minimum reading, sometime back when i came back, the eb guy says ur meter is not working and u shld request for a new meter which i did through a letter 3 months back.they fixed a monthly chg of 800 rs until the new meter is installed.inspite of my not being at home i am still forced to pay the minimum amount of 800 rs, my repeated requests to change the meter is met with only postponments.on top of that the AE who is suposed to be in office all day is never avilable whatever time we go..i dont know what to do
      [protected]it seems nobody in the tneb is bothered about the complaints from the consumers.The poor consumers are always taken for a ride. we are penalized for the fault of the dept.They do not seem to change their attitude.
      Meter failure is a routine affair. only the God almighty shall save consumer .

        Dear sir/madam,

        I Mohamed Zaheer, residing at M19/F1, 1st avenue, Thiruvalluar Nagar, Thiruvanmiyur, chennai 600041. This is regarding the EB person wrote down wrong meter reading number(2000 units more then actual) and forcing us to pay the amount.. The EB person finally admited that the mistake was in his part and asking us to pay the amount for the faulty reading which he would keep it in credit and adjust in next subsiquent bills, The bill amount is high and we cannot pay this as per the the EB says.

        Please kindly let me what action can be taken. it is totally disgusting writing wrong meter reading making us to pay more amount than usage.

        flats — Re Registration and completion of the flats

        I have purchased 2 flats from a promoter as per agreemnt in the month of August, 2006. The promoter has not delivered the flats completed in all respect even after expiry of the one year time in spite of the fact all payments except the 10% amount that is to be paid at the time registry, has been paid. We are in all 12 flat owners and only 3 flat owners agreement are yet to be registered. We all the flat owners wish to form a co operative and rgister it so that we can force the promoter to abide by the agreements.Please suggest.

        I wish to inform to you for your 3 phase meter reader is not working in my residential meter. Recently I am observed in the meter reader is failure and final picture’s the meter reader reading was 999.6 units.

        Still your power supply is given 2 phase services in my residential flats (double bed room flats). But we have 3 phase power supply systems. We are already one year back this issue is noticed in the above service circle top levels of EB officials. You have not initiated any action and as on date.

        So, please kindly send your service persons immediately to attend the above issues.

        flats — Meter not working

        The meter provided only on 10.06.2009 at the above address, new flats now is not working for the past 1 month.I have not given written complaints yet.

        And last two month, the meter was working fine and the minimum charges we paid Rs.40 and Rs.70 we have very limitted usage, but the curent month TNEB lady writes down the average meter reading of Rs.690.

        I was very much fed up and went to the TNEB office in Madhavaram. Only then I came to know about a complaint notebook, and I made a entry. And I was informed a telephone no. and contact person for the complaint..also stating that I will get the issue solved within a day & ask me to call them if nobody showed up.

        It was 4 pm, next day and still no one...so I made a call and asked for the person

        There was a harsh response...

        You made the complaint yesterday only, wait for some more time...


        And still no response..

        What should I do...now. the payment has already paid which is credited back to me if they are wrongly done ?

        For more than one week there is current fluctuation problem in our home, and no current supply in one of the phases. Due to this we are not able to make use of any of our electronic goods

        The previous reading in the date 11/02/20 is 9860.The reading shows in the meter box in 15/06/20 is 11071 but we received 11970 in the date 08/06/20. The Extra 901 units is added. Totally we have consumed 1209 unit but we have received 2110 unit, in this we have 200 units free as per government law. So totally we have consumed 1009 unit.regarding this we contacted 1912 and also contacted whatsapp they are not responding properly. Please kindly consider to reverify. We couldn’t able to pay 10, 390 for the units we have not used. Reverify.

          I'm staying at east Chrompet, we people here are facing heavy voltage drop. We don't expect our ACs to be running but expect our fans to run. Fans, Lights are not working almost 80% in a day and most of our electric appliances like motor, tube lights, gets burnt. Recently we formed an association and we gave a letter for a transformer. They have brought the posts and it is lying there for more than two months. When i tried to log a complaint online, all the links in their website works except the complaint link. See how clever they are by disabling the link, so that most people will not go the Office in person and waste time.

          We are a resident of Raghavan colony west mambalam, voltage fluctuation in our street is so high that every 5 minutes we get low voltage and high voltage resulting in even fans not running at the right pace and thinking about AC is far beyond imagination . This highly disrupts the sleep at night resulting in irritation and fatigue through out the day.

            i am venkatraman from chithalapakkam jayanagar second street selaiyur chennai 600073. from the past 1 month only our street daily power cut off at especially in night hours due to 1 phase cutoff due to loverload
            nearly 30 to 40 houses daily facing this problem the electricity people can't take permanent remedy for this problem. if we call several times to eb office after 2 hours they came i do temporary remedy only the next day we will face the same problem.

            government should take prio actions as all eb sucks due to bribery, carelesnees and less workers, our area is a bigger area but but only very few worker available abd they have to care of all the complaints and so even they attend the problem they do it with mistakes so the new bigger faults arises th next weak or so
            I am living in Nanganallur 5th main road. This area is witnessing interrupted power supply. There is no proper power supply. There is always disturption in power supply. Even though the Electricity Minister Shri. Arcot Veerasamy says that there is no power cut and the power supply is improved, our area is witnessing unusual power cut daily. During day time some time the power goes off for one hour or more and the people especially the old aged citizens are suffering very much. During evening timings the power goes off whenever the EB people wishes. The enquiry reveals that the power supply is very low in Nanganallur area. Due to this interrupted power supply and voltage drops the Nanganallur area people has spend more for their electrical appliances like tube lights, iron boxes, fans etc. Due to interrupted power supply, the school, college going children are suffering very much.
            Kindly look into the matter and do the needful to enable the Nanganallur area people top live peacefully without any power cut.
            Sir I am living in 4th Sector, 14th St, K.K. Nagar, Chennai - 600078. Just opposite to my house there is a transformer. Very frequently it bursts like the diwali 1000walla crackers with high sound and light. The electricity cables that are laid in this road are just lying open on the road which has lead to electric shocks for people walking on that side. Numerous times we have reported to the Electricity Board but no permanent actions are being taken. They work on that. For next 2 to 3 days it is ok and again the same problem arises.I request u to immediately take action on this as this situation has put people's life in risk.

              I am a resident of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. For months together, we have very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. When my electrician checked in the afternoon he said it was 160 volts only. Our AC is not working at that voltage. Hence he advised to put a Double Boost stabilizer, which he said will work even upto 140 volts (costs around Rs.4000). I did that. Even after that during nights, the Double Boost doesn't work after 8.30 or 9.00 pm (It seems voltage drops even below 140 volts !). One more bigger problem is my Computer UPS is not at all getting charged due to low voltage. Whenever I switch on the computer, it stands only for 5 minutes and immediately when there is a fluctuation, the UPS dies and the computer switches off abruptly without properly shutting down. I am afraid I will loose my good equipment like computer, AC, heater, TV etc. Even fans do not gain speed and make eerie noises at night, and we are sweating. My kid could not sleep properly. It is not only for me but for all the residents of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. If such equipment wears out, it will be a calamity for many residents. Thus, hard earned money will be lost due to power shortage and voltage drops. Request TNEB to take necessary steps IMMEDIATELY to stop voltage fluctuation and power cuts. Regards / S Bharathkumaar

              UPS — ON/OFF SWITCH Need to be replaced & need check the dropping Voltage

              Dear all,

              From Past one Month weekly twice i am calling to your Call Center, Every time i talk to your people they telling there is shortest of Engginners, we will try to send within this week, Even till day they did not send a single engg.

              From Past one and half month i am not able to work properly in my PC, due to power problem even my PCs SMPS spoilled due to your component(due to abnormal shut down of pc).

              I am residing in Karthikeyapuram 7th street, Madipakkam. We are facing frequent power cuts and power fluctuation. Incremental flats are approved without checking for sufficient power supply from transformer leads to power cuts and voltage drop during the mid night. We are unable to sleep properly and concentrate on next day work. New apartment is under construction with 12 houses in the 7th street, after the completion of the same we will be facing lots and lots of difficulties with power shortage. It is will be very helpful if separate transformer is provided to our area to lead healthy and peaceful life. Please ask concerned officer to look into this as soon as possible.

              I live in a 5 flat apartment in govindasamy nagar, madipakkam. I'm having a serious low voltage problem and after 6~7 pm everyday it drops much more. I'm having the exact problems said by mr. S.Bharathkumaar almost 2 years ago. Still no action taken on this issue by the local EB officials. Approving apartments without calculating the power distribution is the biggest problem in this area. And still it worsens as the total tamil nadu power generation crisis grows. If anybody can take up this issue to higher officials, please do it to correct.

              I am staying in Ullagaram for the past 26 years. Here we have a very bad voltage fluctuation. We are not able to run ACs after 9 PM. The worst part is fan would run as if it is running in 1st or 2nd point. To add to this misery, we have got more flats coming around our house.
              The only solution is that the EB department should install trasnformers and also urge the flat promoters to install separate transformers for their flats.
              Hope this would get notified and the problem gets resolved.

              We are and facing similar issues at Keelkattalai, SRVS colony. The Voltage drops below 160V, after 8pm and the fans are changing speeds constantly, I am not sure if the current frequency is proper or stable in addition to the voltage fluctuations. Moreover even during daytime the TV gets switched off because Stabilizer has low input voltage, same with PC and all electrical appliances. I appeal to the EB department to install power distribution Transformers in the area as quickly as possible.

              I am a resident of Pillaiyar koil lane, Velachery. For the past 3 weeks, we are facing very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. We are using double booster stabilizera for AC. Even after that, there is no difference. The basic electrical euqipments like fans, lights are also not working. Even the mobile chargers are not working and spoiled due to this.               We are facing power fluctuation problem in Yogeswaran street, Madipakkam. After 8 PM, i could not on my PC and AC. I have changed my SMPS twice due low power. It is very sad that the problem is still not solved. It is my humble request to Madipakkam EB office, please rectify the problem and save our costly electronic devices.

              Nolambur, Sakthi nagar 3rd avenue- we face frequent stoppage of power and daily voltage fluctuation ( 145 to 190 v) even using 2 booster stabilisers we are not able to run our A/c units in this scorching summer. Complained orally to the JE, Nolambur but there is no support/action.(several times)
              These TNEB Guys are not working properly. During 2008 i shifted to Madipakkam and till now the issue was not sorted out... what the hell they are doing? Such a Worthless TNEB people...

                I reside in Parankusapuram street, Kodambakkam with my wife and 1.5 yr old daughter in an apartment. For the past 2 months (April, May 2009) we are facing low voltage after 9.30 pm and very frequent power cuts in the nights.

                The line men are seen to over work, but the basic problem is with the old cables and insufficient transformer. The AE seems to be non accessible and the Power house Kodambakkam seem to take only the complains but turn a deaf ear to our woews.
                Dear Sir/ Madam,

                I refer to my residing in Rumah Pangsa Kos Rendah Taman Bakti Fasa 1. Eversince the new construction started next to my residence. I found that there's consistent of power cut over this area. I hope with this problem log TNB could look into the problem of regular power cut in Taman Bakti Flats.

                  There is a frequent power cut @ madiapakam ( Karthikeyapuram 12th street ) especially at nights. If at all when the power is provided it is of single phase current serving no purpose. Please ask the concerned authorities to look into this ASAP.
                  I am a resident of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. For months together, we have very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. When my electrician checked in the afternoon he said it was 160 volts only. Our AC is not working at that voltage. Hence he advised to put a Double Boost stabilizer, which he said will work even upto 140 volts (costs around Rs.4000). I did that. Even after that during nights, the Double Boost doesn't work after 8.30 - 9.00 pm (It seems voltage drops even below 140 volts !). One more bigger problem is my Computer UPS is not at all getting charged due to low voltage. Whenever I switch on the computer, it stands only for 5 minutes and immediately when there is a fluctuation, the UPS dies and the computer switches off abruptly without properly shutting down. I am afraid I will loose my good equipment like computer, AC, heater, TV etc. It is not only for me but for all the residents of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. If such equipment wears out, it will be a calamity for many residents. Thus, hard earned money will be lost due to power shortage and voltage drops. Request TNEB to take necessary steps IMMEDIATELY to stop voltage fluctuation and power cuts. Regards / Bharathkumar

                    there is cont. power cut in coolaimedu ( veera pandian nagar ) almost all throught the day. we have voltage drop and this has brought up many electrical upset. our stabilizers are not working due to uncontrolled power supply . EB department people neglect to take the complaints and delay in rectifying it. there is no permanant solution for the problem. there are many industries running around veera pandi nagar which may be one of the reason for the power supply. do make some rectifying work to avoid many problems.

                      I am residing at Valmeeki Street, Thanigai Nagar, kolathur, chennai-600099. In my area during the past 4 summers there is a severe low voltage trouble and frequent power cuts are happening. During this hot season there is always about 160v to 175v only supplied so that the fans in my house are revolving very slow and we all are suffering in a worst sultriness.                       Elecricity Department — Poor Power cut of EB Department

                      No body in the world to ask about the Poor Power cut of EB Department which is happening recently in tamilnadu.

                      Tamil Nadu is forwarding to the stoneage period
                      I have ever seen such a irresponsible persons as in Madipakkam EB office. I had a problem with my EB line often, whenever we are logging a complaint there was no proper response.
                      they will ask to register our complaint in a notebook and I don't know what is the purpose of registering the complaint.
                      My old parents and my kids were suffering a lot because of this power cut. When I say about my old parents and kids, they started scolding and told everyone is having old parents and kids...

                      In Bharathiary Street Extension, Low Voltage (500 KVA Tr.) and poor (loose) jumper connections were already complained vide TNEB-1436. But without attending the loose connections, the complaints status was seen as “closed” in your website.

                      It is seen that your staff discard all low voltage problems altogether citing grids’ low voltage. During peak load supply voltage, as per their own statement was only 9.0 KV. For this HT voltage the LT voltage (S.ph) must be 196V. But it is on ly 135-140V from 9.00 p.m to 2.00 a.m. Also the voltage rapidly fluctuates during this time as though welding sets are connected to the LT network.

                      For all these, the main reason is low jumpering in the LT network. If this is rectified, we may get atleast 185 volts less LT line drops.

                      Kindly educate your people how to make LT jumpering without loose connections and let us feel good voltage.

                      If you fail to do this we will be left with no other choice except going to TN Electricity Regulatory Commission to educate your people about loose jumpering.

                      many people from madipakkam area and myself complainted about the madipakkam eb office regarding the low voltage, i donot know why the government /the higher authorities are silent in takeing action on the tneb office madipakkam. the attitude of the staff and employees of eb office is so lathagic and answering to the consumers feels to get irritated. i suspect the complaints we register in this website are being forwarded are notified to the concern people or the concern people donot want to take any action on the eb office. it is really painfull and surprising till now the problem is not being solved regarding the low voltage. i belive the govt and authorities are also like one among them. they too very lathagic in takeing action against the eb office madipakkam.

                        Our meter box was not working for past four months.We belong to Cholapuram, Kumbakonam district.Since we complaint about it to the JE they said that as per rules the lane man who comes for taking reading is responseble for this.They did not take action till now.I and my husband are both working people, we bith go in the early at morning and reach home after 6.Now they are saying us to pay approximately for each month Rs.145.And they are telling us that the new meter box will reach only after 6 months, till that we must pay Rs.145.It is too horrible we don't use these much electricity why should we pay, is this the democracy?This makes people to avoid saving electricity.

                          about 70 to 80 Resisdence with close to 400 people, who are paying their bills in time are facing huge challenge to live here in 8th Cross Street, 4th Main Road, Anna Nagar, Pammal Chennai 75 as Power cuts is a frequent breath taker. Most of the time power shuts down in the late/mid night. And to add to the agony, EB complaint cell herein Pammal keeps the phone purposely busy so that they dont get disturbed, As I write this compalint, already 3 hours had passed by with out power and now it is 440am. No one attents the call or the complaint line would be kepy purposely busy. When poeple of this localty together tried to meet AE of this area, his reply was - JUST LIKE A GOVT OFFICIAL Reply. Were are we heading towards, i really suspect. The problem is every week 3 days for sure people had to suffer a power shut down for atleast 6 hours and all this falls in the mid/late nights. We are fed up with the local EB guys. I think a serious thought process and strong step has to be taken either by consume forum or EB higher ups to change/remove/suspend few EB guys here in pammal along with the officers holding this office, so that people donot face this sort of issue anymore.

                          I am a resident of Nilamangai Nagar. Adambakkam. Of late, there is regular powercut during night especially after 9 PM or 10 PM, eg. there was no power from around 10 PM to 11 PM on 10/07/2013 and no power from 09 pm to 9.30 pm on 11/07/2013. Previously, there was scheduled powercut for 2 hours during the day time. Now the power cuts are unscheduled and occurs at any time. The power supply is not restored immediately. Even if one tries to call the Adambakkam EB office phone number 22604330, the line is always engaged and one is able to get the line only after the power is restored. It seems the EB office people are taking off the receiver of the telephone wantonly so that no one will be able to complain. This shows their irresponsible attitude.
                          The same is the case with 155333. There is no useful response even if anybody is able to get the line. Due to the powercuts at night those people who are working are not able to sleep properly at night and find it difficult to get up early and go to the office in the morning. Children and old age people are badly affected as well as aspiring students.
                          Every year this is the same problem. They cut power for long hours at night and then say it is due to cable fault, cable has melted due to summer etc. It is funny to note that a cable is able to melt at night due to the heat of sunlight. Are the cables made of sub-standard quality. If it rains also, they immediately cut the power and say it is raining and there are heavy winds. This is exactly the answer we have got several times. Even during the time when power is there, the voltage is frequently fluctuating and causes problems in operating computers. Air conditioners do not function at all. All consumers are paying through their nose, for the power which is sub-standard. Will the authorities look into this matter and provide power without voltage fluctuation and avoid powercuts at night time?

                          our daily mid night power cut starts.
                          now. Our CM annonced there is no power cut from 1st jun 2014. But that annoncemet is not yet reached by pammal office.

                          Because we are facing daily four hour power cut in mid night timing. 7 to 11 PM. One sad thing there is no communication system working in that EB office. If you call that number its always busy for 24 hrs. Can you please help us to convey our CM message to pammal EB office.( due to communication system failiure.)

                          It's a very serious complaint about the pammal. Here most probably 100 residence with close to 500 people, who are paying their bills in time are facing huge challenge to live here in bharathidasan Street, muthamizh Nagar, Pammal Chennai 75 as Power cuts is a frequent breath taker. Most of the time power shuts down in the late/mid night. And to add to the agony, EB complaint cell herein Pammal keeps the phone purposely busy so that they dont get disturbed. No one attents the call or the complaint line would be kepy purposely busy. The problem is daily for sure people had to suffer a power shut down for atleast 6 hours and all this falls in the mid/late nights. We are fed up with the local EB guys. I think a serious thought process and strong step has to be taken either by consume forum or EB higher ups to change/remove/suspend few EB guys here in pammal along with the officers holding this office, so that people donot face this sort of issue anymore.

                            There is also a power fluctuation in Ganesh nagar, keelkatalai -600117 from May12th till date(may-19) daily atleast 5 times a day.Even before we had this but not too often.But now its getting too worse.

                            We were not able to sleep properly due to power fluctuation at night .This happens every 1-2 hours.

                            But it seems that TNEB has denied this and said there is no complaint on this.Most of them may not know where to complaint on this.If they could provide the contact number and the person of contact in any magazine it would be helpful for the public to reach them immediatly.

                            It would be great helpful for us if this would be addressed ASAP .
                            I am a resident of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. For months together, we have very bad power fluctuation and voltage drops here. When my electrician checked in the afternoon he said it was 160 volts only. Our AC is not working at that voltage. Hence he advised to put a Double Boost stabilizer, which he said will work even upto 140 volts (costs around Rs.4000). I did that. Even after that during nights, the Double Boost doesn't work after 8.30 - 9.00 pm (It seems voltage drops even below 140 volts !). One more bigger problem is my Computer UPS is not at all getting charged due to low voltage. Whenever I switch on the computer, it stands only for 5 minutes and immediately when there is a fluctuation, the UPS dies and the computer switches off abruptly without properly shutting down. I am afraid I will loose my good equipment like computer, AC, heater, TV etc. It is not only for me but for all the residents of Karthikeyapuram, Madipakkam. If such equipment wears out, it will be a calamity for many residents. Thus, hard earned money will be lost due to power shortage and voltage drops. Request TNEB to take necessary steps IMMEDIATELY to stop voltage fluctuation and power cuts. Regards / Bharathkumar

                              RESPECTED SIR, AS I AM RESIDING IN PLOT NO 1 SANKARAPURAM 2ND STREET PALAVAKKAM, CHENNAI-600041, AS THE POWER WAS NOT THERE FROM SATURDAY (16/04/2011) I REGESTER MY COMPLAIN WENT TO THE EB OFFICE IT WAS SHOCKING THE DAY SHIFT LINE MEN WAS CONSUMING ALCHOL INSIDE THE OFFICE AND THE PLACE SEEMS TO BE NOT ORGANIZED AFTER 2 DAYS (AFTER CALLING SEVERAL TIMES TO THIRUVANMAYUR A E )THEY CAME ON SUNDAY 17/04/2011FOUND ITS A CABLE FAULT AND INFORMED ME DUE TO SUNDAY THE LINE MEN IS ON LEAVE, IF YOU BUY THE ELECTRIC WIRE WE CAN GIVE A DIRECT TEMPROARY CONNECTION FROM THE MAIN BOX I BROUGHT THE ELECTRIC WIRS COSTING RS1400 AND THEY TOLD VERY NEXT DAY THEY WILL CONNECT THE CABLE, AND LEFT,

                                I am residing in Puzhuthivakkam Municipality. My home comes under the Madipakkam TNEB control. When They have seperated the Puzhuthivakkam Connections from Madipakkam area my service number changed. But my area still retained under Madipakkam Service Area.

                                1. First of all they come to my area for reading as they wish, they have taken reading for my house only three times in last one year.
                                2. Even If they take the reading for my house, since my connection number belongs to a different service area they don't enter the reading.
                                3. When ever I go for the payment, They ask me to stand in a different queue to get the reading updated in their system and then on another queue for payment. The Staff Madipakkam TNEB bill payment section literally behaving rude. Simply they are saying if you want to complain go and complain to any one, even to the Chief Minister, We don't bother.

                                I have given a request for correcting the Service number almost 6 months back, still it is not corrected. I have met AE & the Billing Supervisor of Madipakkam section every time I went for payment and requested him to take appropriate. Both are giving commintment that it will be corrected in next cycle. But almost 3 Cycles over no action yet. This month also they have not taken reading.

                                I am not sure how to solve the issue. Any on who know the proper channel to escalate the issue, please let me know.

                                How to make these people to work for Public !!!

                                I am Harry Joseph from No:55, tulakathammen street, brindhavan nagar, surapet, Chennai-66. near puzhal lake, in this area E.B Reading person not coming for 5 times and still.. so they are billing at my card same money, same, same.. then i call the number 15533..they are taking the phone and silently keept down several times doing same thing, not responding at all .. please take action and correct the problem..

                                  We have frequent voltage fluctuation in Annanagar Y block, 5th street.
                                  Regular fluctuation after 9.30 p.m for the last one week.
                                  Daily I am calling up the respective AE of this area to rectify it.
                                  He promises that problem will not persist from the next day but in vain.
                                  I am scared let my household electrical things may damage. Kindly take some stern action against this negligence.

                                    INSISTING TO APPLY FOR TARIFF CHANGE

                                    Hi,
                                    I am an NRI owning a home in my native place called Kottaiyur in Tamilnadu. It was constructed 8 years back and recently I decided to renovate the same to improve the elevation. Even after partial hacking the house is fit for living and my cousin continues to live there.

                                    Note, I am not doing demolition of old house and constructing a new house.

                                    It is a two story house having two electrical supply...
