[Resolved]  Tamilnadu Traffic Police — CORRUPTION

20/03/2014 i am a college student i driving about Triples but traffic police are collect 300 Rs fine amount i asking a question "why are you sir collecting 300 Rs fine amount, traffic police say its as per member 100 Rs(3*100) and i finally pay this amount (i dont Know that traffic rules)
he not declared 300 Rs on fine payment slip

please take necessary action to traffic police officer

NOTE : i attached photo proof and, i have eye witnesses so please take action to him

There are 2 things that needs to be corrected
1. The corruption level in the department of police
2. The laziness/lethargy of the common people not checking for the presence of all the documents in their vehicle before going on a trip

Actually Mithun, you are a . Since you did not have the courage to stand up to the cop and ask him to write you a ticket FIRST, you ended up paying some random sum like an . You should know your rights first and foremost. No Indian ever needs to pay any money whether it be a fine or anything, before seeing the legal paperwork for that exact sum. The next time any cop stops you, show all the documents, but simply refuse to pay unless the policeman gives you a full ticket for whatever offence is claimed against you. You can always dispute that in a court later. Best wishes for being less of a next time!

I really appreciate the informations which you given. if any police man did any illegal mistakes like this kindly note down their name, their id number and in which place u caught by the police time and report a copy to Commissionor, Collector, Traffic commissionor. i[censored] r agree to do this directly when ever they ask u to come.

Such things are happening because lack of awareness of the general traffic rules and incase of accident what is the procedure for making FIR and other related systems. can anybody help or throw some lights on this. This information will reduce the coorruptions.

Yeah, Starting from the DGP to the constable level - the maturity is not there. These people claim an excuse stating that India is a big country with big population and we are so small in numbers and stuff.

I don't they deserve thier salaries for the tax that we pay and the service they provide honestly.

I think the Ministry and the Law makers has to provide a good service training to them.

I do not if the above mentioned themselves require a good training.

i am a citizen of salem and when i went to a movie near the arrs multiplex theatre
in the night time, a traffic police man beat me like a hell as i was in the crowd.because to clear the crowd.but we didn't do any problems like blocking the roads like politicians.
this is not a good thing.see, if a person with a child get caught in the crowd what will he do?.so this is the situatuon and the government should take care of it

I am DineshKumar my friend went to take a driving licence for two wheeler in coimbatore RTO Office. There he meet a great shock the cheif RTO Inspector has got Rs.500 as a payment for providing the two wheeler licence. Ya sir its still goes on. The way how the inspector collects the money is he/she gets the signature of licence holder who gave the money in a seprate NOTE. Sir this True & True Only. Pls sir you must take sivere action on that Inspector.

Traffic Beggars — Illegal Drink and drive

It was on a pongal holliday. I was driving my bike to my friends home at around 10AM. When I reached kathipara signal, Since I didn't wear a helmet, A traffice police called me and he asked me to pay 100 Rs for him. I started arguing. Immediatly he took me to his control room and told that I was drunken and he started filing a drunk and drive. Since I was a boy of 20 years old I was not able to resist. I refused. But the took me to the saidapet Govt hospital and he bought a certificate from the fraud Doctor working there.. I nearly started crying.. I lost he asked me for Rs 2000 and he took my byke key.. Also he started very vulgure words. Finally I gave 2000 and took my bike and went home... His name is Aarumugam. I'll never forget his face.. Even Last week I saw him in near Airport Signal. I'm waiting for a chance.. Will take him one day, , , , ,

this is rajeev, i would like to thank the traffic department of chennai for providing a wonderfull service to my fello citizines, overcommming all the troubles during their duty. my kind request to my fellocitizines will be to follow the traffic rules provided by the TNTPD, and not to exceed the speed limits while driving which will not be a threat to the street side walkers and to other drivers and please do not try to attempt any stunds with your vehicles during peekhours, each ones tallents has to be exebited in correct place. let us maintane a good transport so that the dignity of our people will come up amoung other states .

karaikudi — Request for installing traffic light

Sir,
Nearby ambedkar statue in karaikudi, accident takeplace very often.
Also there are schools nearby that place.
Its very dangerous junction, since some of vechicle are speeding at that place.
Kindly take necessary steps to install traffic lights at that junction to control the traffic.

tamilnadu traffic police even doesnt know the proper rule of our govt and they seems to be a authorised uneducateds who mis-uses the law for their own needs.

I noted Mr.Muthu's statement. By the by where is Tamily Nadu trafic rules details. At what basis Traffic police fined Rs:2500/-. that fine should be paid at Traffic department office or court not to person. this system should be changed.

this boy is dishonest because without fallowing the trafic rules he is trying to blame the police

i also got caught by fallen down due to drunk and drive...got injured in my left i cannot able to stand properly ..last week (december 5 night 10.30 around)
that was my mistake ..
i was quite, listening to his talk againts me... for me the bike was important, the key was with him ...he ask, he want money.. he hit me twice ( i am 30yrs guy) otherwise come and get in court paying 2500, i dont have at that time i called my friend and told to bring money... i paid Rs.. 280 final he gave the key.

i was distrub for 2day, becuase of the insult on that night i had.. but 280rs i dont think i will go for goverment as drunk and drive fine...

i am not telling don't drinking, one thing i can say, keep all paper with u, even helmet, if any one want to drink, walk r auto, except u dont drive after drink... becuse some traffic police person behave so cheeply when u make mistake. even thought we are in good position ... it will distrub u ... a lot... and dont full their packet because of our mistake's... i am netural...

I find it amusing and saddening to that few people care to spend time online to complain about the police but take no effort to learn the punishment and penalties for traffic offences.

Use the Internet, visit the traffic police site educate yourselves about the processes and fines. Be aware of your rights and obligations. That way no one can take your for a ride.

More importantly, do not break the law and come here crying.

what is the use of posting compalint, no action will be taken by anyone. As you said, the answer is India is a big country and we are very few. This is nonsense. If India is a big country with big population, they can employ more people but no, this is not the answer we get.

what ever we say, this system is not going to change unless there is some step taken by us. and yes, its the middle class which gets struck between these police.One thing is for sure, by eating our money, I dont think God will leave them happy longer. i.e, when they grow old they are going to get their rewards
