[Resolved] Tata Aig — Casual Attitude of handling claims | |||
Written on 27th Feb 2012. I am disappointed with the unprofessional way in which TATA AIG, Pune handled my claim. My car met with an accident on Jan 5, 2012. I have not received my car till now. Car: Tata Manza - 6 months old. Bought from authorized TATA dealer (Balaji Motors). This car was given for repair in authorized Tata service centre in Aundh, Pune. Insurance: TATA AIG insurance provided by the car dealer for the first year. Claim #:[protected] Contact: [protected] I faced problems with TATA AIG from the very first day of registering claims. I was not able to get through the TOLL free number for 2-3 days. Finally I managed to get through and registered the claim. There was a big delay in carrying out the survey from the insurance company. In fact, I have called them atleast 13-15 times till now. Each time i get a reply that they will call me back with proper information. But I have not received any call from them till now. Infact, I have also raised a complaint with TATA AIG customer care centre. I was informed that I will hear back from them within 48 hours. Its more than a month and I have still not heard. TATA Authorized service centre contact person has been asking me to follow up with the insurance comapny. Isnt is surprising - TATA car being repaired in TATA authorized service centre and covered with TATA AIG insurance but the customer has to do all the running around. Seeing this approach I would advise all the customers to stay away from TATA cars and insurance products unless there is a guarantee to improve the customer service from their end.
