[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — Harrasment, Threatening to harm, unparlimentary words and abuse

Dear Sir,

I, Sunil Ramakrishnan, currently working with The Times Group.
This complaint is with reference to the above subject of Harassment, threatening to harm, usage o[censored]nparliamentary words and abuse. Complaint against TATA DOCOMO.
I had purchased TATA DOCOMO SIM (MobileNo.[protected]) in 2nd week of July2009, which was activated on 31st July2009. Upon usage for 1week, I realized the network was very poor and my number was always unreachable even in public areas. Also, I had taken the plan with Rs.499 rental.
Due to continuous issues, I called the TATA DOCOMO customer care and registered a complaint on the 8th day of SIM activation. And subsequently gave service surrender on 8th Aug 2009. CC-Executive confirmed my request taken but due to slow server problem could not provide me the request reference number. Also, I requested to send the collection executive same month and close the outstanding.
But there was no reaction on my request.
On 25th Aug2009, I received my first bill for the service with entire month rental though I had cancelled.
I called up customer care and reconfirmed my surrender request.
Though there was no response from any personnel. I too left the issue as it is till I started getting calls for payment pending. I explained the issue numerous times to each different executive and after some 8 such attempts, I sent a mail to nodal office TN in Chennai on 13th Oct2009.
Now slowly the issue moved and subsequently with full agreement between myself and the collection department of the TATA DOCOMO in TN, I settled the payments and closed the case with all documents intact with me.
But the bug does not stop here as after 2months again I started receiving calls from new set of payment recovery team and followed by rude talks and frequent harassment from collection agencies.
I was frequently been called and without any introduction or reasoning, person on other side of call will scream and shout at me, making my days and daily office work under depression and mental agony.
Very recently, I received a legal notice again and some confirmation call of receipt. But I was stable and confident as the settlement letter was with me.
But today, on 30th May 2010, I received a call from mobile no.[protected]. The person on the call referred himself calling from Delhi Police and stated release of some warrant against cheating.
I insisted person's identity but he started abusing and used unparliamentary words to stop me from speaking. Since call was quite harassing and depressive, I tried disconnecting. But again he called with abusive language. When told him I will file and FIR against this torture, he threatened to get me hurt any time as he had my home address referring from TATA DOCOMO database.
I feel quite depressed and mentally tortured about this call and moreover now threaten to harm had made me more restless.
Referring the above sequence of harassing incidents, I would like to file a case against the TATA DOCOMO Company and the respective department.
Kindly take this case seriously. I need compensation from the company.
