[Resolved]  Tata Docomo — Slow Speed

slow speed of tata photon
This is the worst connection.It has horrible customer service.People in customer service are least bothered to solve the issues.even google doesn't open with this connection
Speed is very very slow.. not more then 40 kbps..not worth waste of money.. big company with bad service.

We strongly recommended do not go for TATA Photon +
I have recently shifted to Tata Photon Plus unlimited plan....no.[protected]
My complaints are manifolds...

1. All I can say is that their speed is nowhere close to what they claim. For first few days I got decent speed but after the allotted limit (5GB) exceeded, it became insufferable.

2. More importantly, once I paid the bill for the next month, the speed should have increased till I use my next 5GB. But it never happened. Even the low speed fluctuates and at times fails to open some sites. If this is the situation in Mumbai I wonder how it is in remote places.

3. Even placing a complaint is difficult. I tried to post this comment on their complaints forums but they were showing random errors everytime I tried to post.

I am a user with Tata Photon Plus, [protected]. For over the past 6 month, I have an issue with the service provider with the speed which has been promised by the service provider is 3.1 Mbps anywhere in the country. The speed at my home hardly fluctuates between 60 Kbps to 150 Kbps, which is not even 10% of speed promised. Despite several complaint, the service provided to me was of no use. I have been damaged with my work and have been losing my incentives with the false promise of the service provider. The last complaint was registered on 01/04/2011 and the date and time of the resolution was 02/04/2011 at 11:00 a.m. The complaint number is PTC[protected]. I would like the Service Provider to fulfill the promises made with the speed or would pay my damages at any cost.

Tata Photon + — Never go 4 TATA Photon + - Worst Customer Service

Hello All,
On March 1st week, I enquired a guy who is sitting outside my office for this Tata Photon + reg plans and package. He told me I have corporate benefits where I get discounts and device cost less than getting outside outlets. So I gave him 1500 bugs to get the device, he asked me a residential proof, I got a letter frm my hr and gave him the necessary details. He told it wil get activated in 24 hrs, but tht didn happen, so I called him n askd abt the activation, he told it wil get activated by tomoro...thn I again I waited till nxt day but still nt activated. He keep disconnecting my calls, thn on 4th day a call from Tata photon saying that a welcome call, thn they activated it. Also they told me thy wud cme 4 verification. meanwhile I recevd 10 welcome calls stating my plans, I patiently attended every call. Aftr a week they send me a bill stating they billed for 2 days, as per the billing cycle.I paid that too....later on i waas nt able to connect to internet, I called customer care..they told me they barred my service..I ask y..they told me ur address verification is not done...bt I told, none of thm came to my hme for verification...n hw can u diconnect my service without my prior concern. they apologised and told tht they wud send a person latest by tomoro...i waited..bt tht guy didn turn up..I again called cust care..this time I approces nodel officer..they told they wud def..wil send the guys for verification...then a guy cme to my hme 4 verification..askng my address proof...I told him i already submitted the proofs...he told me thts different dept..u need to submit again...i spoke to the cust care again n told him I already submitted..so y shud I submit again. He told its alright u need nt submit to him...u sign those docs n give to him. Thn my conection was activated, the next day ..they again barred my service.. I called cust care and they told me tht I didnt attend welcome call..so they barred my service(hw silly it is)..i told him..i hav attended 10 welcome calls n even tht day morning i attended a call..I was so irate..he told Ill activate my service...its activated...the next day..again my service is barred..with all the hope ..i called cust care...they told me this time..my address verification is negative...my goodness...a guy cme to my house and did all verification...nw they say its negative???(its totally crap)..i spoke to the nodal officers...n they told me it wil get rectified by nxt day.....this was last friday evening(apr 1st 2011) still now I havent received a call frm anyone...n my service is nt activated.....i totally went out of control...i lost my patience...pissed off with their service...n the reason they gimme for barring the service.....ITS TOTAL CRAP...u won have peaceful life....i[censored] get their device. I donno abt others...bt its my practical exp..im new to blr...so i donna any lawyers to sue Tata photon....else I wud lodge a compliant.

Tata photon is ia useless service. They slowdown your speed delibratetly so that u cannot use much download facility. Generally for 4-5 days in a new billing cycle speed is ok but it reduces drastically threafter. I had even complained to their M.D. but of no use. better dont buy their connection. its a .
I've logged calls 4 to 5 times..none of you bother to escalate the call nor give me a call back. Now you are telling me you are commited to resolve my issue to my satisfaction...what the heck is that...My service is barred on March 30th 2011 and still now my service is not active(April 11th 2011) none called me back about this issue...where is your customer satisfaction gone..I've recorded all the interaction I had with you lousy representatives...so dont fool around people for heaven sake...PEOPLE BEAWRE OF THESE PEOPLE...they will do all sorts of these...but you will not be benefited of any!!!

Tata Photon+ — low speed

tata photon does not give the desired speed. i have taken the prepaid plan. i rechared with rs.750 for unlimited download with a speed of 3.1Mbps for the 1st gb and 64kbps afterwards. but the post speed was only 10-15 kbps. i complaint a lot to photon cust.care but they dont take seriously.they only give useless opinions. surely and certainly the are eating the consumers money.
they does not provide the difference between KB and Kb at the time of schemes,plans.
so, clearly know everything before u want to take.

i (shivkumar r.b.)bought the tata photon+ data card (no:[protected])two months before &i activated the 700 rs unlimited plan,but i get speed of 3-4 kbps at all,no customer support is available for that,so guys dont buy the tata photon data card,its just waste o[censored]r money..........my problem is not solved yet.

Tata Photon+ — slow speed

The photon plus device that I am using is so frustrating that i feel like throughing it or flushing it. The mobile number for the device is [protected]. To load a simple page like google.com it takes ages. I have already complaint twice but nothing has happened. Infact the speed has only gone down. I know its a capped thing but not even getting a speed of 1kbps once I have reached 5gb is pathetic when they call is unlimited usage for the month at the highest speed.
If you have a proper solution call me on [protected]. If not or you want to make excuses dont even bother calling as the last time you called, you just made excuses n fooled me by telling me to change a few things which showed a different thing than what your representative said. Thanks for nothing.

NEVER GO FOR TATA PHOTON, THEY ARE JUST CHEATER, SPEED WHAT THEY SHOW NEVER COMES.
I am Rajesh Kumar customer of tata photon whiz. My photon whiz number is [protected]. I have recharged my photon whiz on 13-jan-2013, for Rs.199 (home zone offer). But on 15-jan-2013 my photon whiz is very slow, the speed was between the range of 0-0.5 kbps. when i contacted customer care they did not responding well. When i took this photon whiz to nearest i care center there it working fine, but in my home area it is not working from the above mentioned date. The person from i care center insisted me to make a complaint to customer care about the network problem in your area. so i called to customer care and requested to make a complaint regarding this issue, but they neglected to make a complaint regarding this issue. With this speed i can't load a single page. Please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

ta ta photon+ one say that when GB will over in unlimited plan you will get a speed of 153 kbps but i am getting speed of 2 to 20 bps and sometime it reaches to bites.when my GB was not over i was getting a speed of 100-150 kbps and they say you will get a speed of 3.1mbps.

It is repeatedly complained to the department, still no body is resolving my complaint.
Since last Month TATA photon Max Wi-Fi connection giving the slow speed, instead of promised 2.4 to 6.2 MBPS I am getting hardly 0.05 to 0.7MBPS speed, some times it is giving up to 1.1 MBPS average (Rarely) speed.
May I know what is the way forward to resolve this speed issue permanently?
Earlier I had TATA Photon+ connection due to slow speed of that I had to change to TATA Wi-Fi connection. Still I am facing same problem. No body from company seems to be compatible enough to address my issue satisfactorily.
I felt I have been cheated with this.
Please guide what is way forward.
