[Resolved] Tata Indicom — MNP | |||
I had applied for a port to TATA INDICOM from AIRCEL POSTPAID on 22/6/11 of which the UPC was DM148225 and the CAF no[protected] at TAT INDICOM GALLERY in Goregaon East, Mumbai. I had followed up on the same with Aircel who denied recieving a request for the same. I also checked with their Appelate authority who suggested me to check with Tata again. If i call the goregaon store which is approx 20kms from my place they just recieve the phone and keep it aside and then hang up. Due to which I spoke to TATA INDICOM NODAL OFFICER who confirmed that the request is not sent to Aircel, infact the request was not logged in. I was told by tata executive not to make outgoing calls till MNP is done due to which i have not used the number for more than a month and I have to pay Aircel the rental. The Tata Nodal Officer cannot help me in thisd matter and suggests me to do the whole process again. I want to know who will bear for all the inconvienience caused to me. I am using tata indicom postpaid connection ([protected]) for last 6-7 months. I have changed it to tata indicom prepaid service in Jan-2011. Then after 2-3 days I have given request to Aircel for MNP. They provided me the SIM card and told that your number will be ported within 7 days. But when my number did not activate in aircel i called them up and asked the reason. They told me that we did not recieve the approval from tata indicom. Then i again called up to the tata indicom helpline and they told me that you can not port your number because it is not completed 90 days of the service. I told them that i am already using the tata service from last 6-7 months. But then they said in prepaid service you are supposed to copmplete the 90 days time. But i was not satisfied with their point. As i am using the tata service from more than 90 days then my number should be ported to aircel. In MNP regulations it is written that your number should be activated for more then 90 days for same subscriber and if you have changed the subscriber then after 90 days you can change again the subscriber. There is no line written which says that you can not shift even if you have changed the service type (prepaid/postpaid) of same service provider.
I did not find any general complaint center where i can lodge my complaint. Please help me out what to do in my case.
