[Resolved]  Tata Motors Finance — Bounce of Cheque due to deposit of cheque twice in a month

1. It is intimated that on behalf of my wife owner of Tata Indica Contract No [protected], I went to deposit cheques bearing serial no 4051 to 4062 at your Guwahati Branch for the month of Jun 2009 to May 2010 on 31st May 2009 towards repayment of loan @ Rs 7640/- per month as EMI.

2. As usual in the month May 2010 I personally went at your Guwahati Branch for depositing cheques for the month of Jun 2010 to Nov 2010.

3. On checking of records it is found that no payment for the month of May 2010 has been made due to shortage of cheque and according to them I have to pay the installments for the month of May 2010 with penalty.

4. On hearing that I went to ICICI bank for inquiry and as per statement of ICICI bank from the month of May 2009 to Jun 2010 I found that cheque No 4051 had been deposited on 3rd Jun 2010 and simultaneously cheque No 4062 also deposited on 5th Jun 2010 resulting bounce of cheque and a fine of Rs 386/- was debited from my account by the bank.

5. On 8th June 2010, I went to your branch to en-quire about the matter, receptionist introduced me with concern staff to whom I requested the reason for bounce of cheque No 4062 but ignoring my all questions and avoiding fact of my case he informed to deposit a sum of Rs 3820/- as an installment for the month of May 2010 and went away from office as well as other staff also showed no interest on the case which bound me to deposit the said amount to avoid fine.

6. For the above some questions are arising in my mind : -

(i) That, in which fact your office advised me to deposit Rs 3820/- in lieu of Rs 7640/-, which is my regular monthly installment?

(ii) That, Why your office has not been informed me regarding bounce of cheque?

(iii) That, without prior checking why your office has been deposited two cheques in a month?

(iv) That, who will be responsible for payment of Rs 386/-, which has been debited from account for no fault of me?

(v) That, who will be responsible for my prestige as an account holder of bank where not a single cheque has been bounced before?

7. It is also intimated that, at the time of purchasing vehicle the valuation of the car was Rs 3,73.672/- on 23 Apr 2007 whereas on 23 Apr 2010 the value of the car has been estimated to Rs 2,12,403/-, which is not understood. Please clarify the fact under which ground the valuation of the car has been down graded to Rs 2,12,403/-. My insurance premium included with EMI, the responsibility of your staff to look into the matter before issuing the Insurance policy by Insurance Company. I have made no Insurance claim since purchase of the vehicle.

8. In view of the above, I am requesting you to investigate the matter and inform me the fact of the case for act of kindness I shall remain ever grateful to you and also request to return me my bounced Cheque no 4062 for my record.

Thanking you in anticipation.
