[Resolved]  Tata Sky DTH Connection — Commitment

When we shifted to Goregaon (West) we thought to go for DTH service instead of regular Cable Network. Amongst the DTH service providers, we went for Tata Sky because of TATA's credibility.

On 2nd May at around 9 pm I had called up their Pune office[protected] and talked to Mr.Wasim Akram. He made us to pay Rs. 1999 through phone banking and we were given a transaction number. We were promised that the connection will be made on Monday at 11 am.

However, I received a call from TATA SKY at 9.30 am on 3rd May and was told that the installation team will come at 5 to 6 pm. Accordingly we cancelled our usual Sunday evening engagements and waited for TATA SKY Team. No one turned up nor they felt it right to inform the customer too!

On Monday, when I came back home, my family told me that there was neither any call nor the turn up for installation. I called up Pune office and after talking to the so called TATA SKY associates with lot of difficulties could manage to get through the complaint department and talked to Mr.Vishal. My complained number was 1-[protected]. We were promised that on 5th May the connection will be done at 11 am.

On 5th May I called up Pune office again at 1 pm. I asked the TS business associate to put me across to Mr.Vishal which they refused to do so. However, they kept me hanging for around 10 minutes or so and while I was waiting to be connected to Vishal; I got a call on my cell phone from one Mr. Amjad Bais. I called him back and to my surprise I was told that he tried to contact me on my cell number between 10 am to 11 am and he was not able to get through. Just to put in record, my cell phone is always in "switch on" mode and during that time I have received other calls. So how Tata Sky People can did not get through my phone.

Now Mr.Amjad Bais has assured me that as agreed he will come today at 5 pm to deliver the hard ware and provide the connections.

Just to mention that when I talked to my colleagues about my initial experience with Tata Sky, one colleague told me that he had to wait for 7 days after the hard ware delivery. So we must have patience and get it installed as getting refund will be a harrowing experience.
