[Resolved]  Tata Sky Dth / Tata Sky Plus — TATA SKY DTH

In the name of the new service/equipment the equipment has been priced at a very high price and in the name of the packages - they have priced the subscriptions fees sky high. The total package cost 5000 rupees and the next best is only 3000 per annum and that does not provide all the channels - there are certain channels like colors - tirumala devasatanam channels which are telecasted free by other DTH subscribers and cable operators. This is being charged by TATA SKY. Also the new tamil channels like JAYA Plus, Jaya Max the other old tamil channels like Raj, Raj digital plus, SS Music has not been added for more than a year now. There is no information about such channels from the helpline and i have placed/enquired about this several times but no proper response and each time for enquiry i have called an andhra helpline number where for south only that is the number given and i land up in paying only std charges and the response was worst.

More over the pamplets circulated provide a different picture and the helpline people state entirely different picture and this i feel is exploiting consumers in the name of technology. This has not been invented by tata sky to price it at this sky high price and as this is available in world else where other than india, tata sky being pioneer is looting the indian consumers stating 50 % discount and pricing at 5000 rs. after discount. The original price may not even exceed Rs. 2000 and the packages also to be reviewed and revised by tata sky.

Dear Sir,
I fully agree with the services provided by Tatsky are below par and putting on new packs on the shelfs without caring for the the simple structuring of channels as provided by others is noteworthy.
All the audio FM channels are broadcast free even on the Dur(oo)dharshan-DTH.
Even update of their web sites is below par.
I was given info about the exchange offer ending on 14th Jan 2009 and the other day i was told it was extended.
On the we it is still publisised as ending on 14th Jan.
I hope you can gather many a complaints like this and put it across to Tatsky.

M sorry uve had a bad experiece with their customer support, its just that i have had a different opinion. I have had a couple of queries and complaints that i had and to my surprise they have always been prompt and quite helpful. As far as the channels are concerned they have all that mentioned in the packages so one shld opt for it only if its suitable.
I totally disagree. First, you bought the package on your free will, knowing the cost. When you bought the package you knew exactly which packages you were going to get. Also, they never promised that certain channels will be added. Tata Sky may have its own costs. I dont understand as to how you can determine which is the just price to charge. Tata Sky plus is worth the money. No other DVR has this facility. so your complaints have no basis.
I got tatasky in the month of october 2008 and feel good
