[Resolved]  Tata Sky — Pathetic Service by the company

Hi –

I am not sure whether this email will make a difference but I am still going to try – I come from the city of Jamshedpur and being a Tata City, I have always respected the company for the amazing trust they have build amongst their stakeholders.

However all that got shaken yesterday because of the really bad experience I had with TataSky. Here is a summary

I have just moved from Gurgaon to Hyderabad and had requested a relocation support from the company. I was promised (I have a sms) that the technician will take my call at 5 PM. I got a call from the local office at 3 PM that the technician is on its away and should be there anytime now. I was delighted – However I guess that was premature. There was no sign of the technician till 5:30 PM. Then I decided to call the call-centre and they said he is on the way and should be there by 6:00 PM . They gave me the number of the technician – who confirmed the same.

6:15 happened – there was no sign of the technician. I once again called the call center and they said He is outside your house and should be there in 2 mins …6:30 – Same story ; 7:00 PM same story… I tried calling the technician and he had switched off his mobile phone .. I called the central call centre – they tried to find out what happened and said they will ensure the technician is there by 7:30 PM. 8:00 PM there is no one to be seen – The call centre guy now says he cant to do anything the thing will be fixed only on Monday.

It is 2:30 in the afternoon on Monday and there is no sign of any technician – I am just completely frustrated with the service. I mean the long years of trust that the group has built is completely shattered now. I just think it was a wrong decision to go for tata sky

You not only wasted my Sunday but also shattered my trust by your blatant lies …

Can you atleast specify what your problem was? I find it very hard to believe what you have written. No one will charge you for packages which you have not taken. You complaint sounds full of exaggeration. If Tata Sky is so bad then why are you continuing to use it. I use TS too and never had such issues.

Tata Sky — Bad service and pathetic response from company

Tata sky has the worst possible service. They keep charging for engineer visits, who do not resolve the problem, or do a temporary resolution. Call center executives simply tell nothing can be done. Our TV goes off for a few days every few months. Engineers do not come when they are scheduled inspite o[censored]s getting SMS confirmations. When they do come installation and repair is faulty. Call centers simply tell us in their polite manner that nothing can be done till the next day...which actually goes on for days. They keep our credit card numbers and debit charges for packages we have never bought and services which they have not given.

Most of the channels do not come even though we have subscribed to the full package and as usual the response is we cannot do anything about this...can we help you further...

It is the most unethical, unprofessional company we have ever come across. A lot of the times when we question the service center we are kept on hold for 30 min as "we will get back...please hold on", after which the phone disconnects. In the past one week, since our service has not been working once again we have spent over 8-9 hours with them and as usual no solution.

I don't know whether below Experience will make the in Tata Sky Service or not. On November 5th 2010 I booked TATA SKY (new Connection) through Phone, and i paid them throgh Phone, ( I called [protected]) I paid them 2844 ( One year Subscription + 999 ) . They said its going to be installed on Monday (8th November 2010) i called them on Monday at 3:30 PM they said like your transaction was in Cancelled Status, i asked for the Reason, they haven't told any thing and they said like some how it got a cancelled, and after that i spoke with one of the Senior executive she told like some where some mistake was done, it will not happen for anybody, somehow your request got delayed. I said Okay and i asked them to install it on Tues day. they said Okay. On tues day i called in the morning to the same number and they told like with in 48 hours we will see when we are going to install. I said like you people told me that you are going to install today. then she said Ohh... then we will install Today at any cost, i asked her whether i can take this as Verbal Confirmation on installation. She said Definitely yes sir .

I was waiting for their call and i haven't got any call from them and i called Tatasky Again, they weere telling all old story again. and I asked them one point if they are not sure of when they are going to install it, then why you have Committed for a Date. there is no response from them.

there is a Clear coordination problem between them, they are saying like they have logged my ticket ( Concern) yesterday and when i called them today and i asked the what is the status of that Ticket there is no answer from them. Because of name sake if we go, its utter waste to take TATA SKY. Service wont be good. the Response won't be good. its better to go for other Service provider Other than TATA SKY.
