Tata Sky — Non-replacement of damaged Digicomp Box

I subscribed to Tata Sky HD Services on 5th Aug 2011, subscriber id [protected]. I had intermittent issues with my digicomp box, but, it was working after reloading. On 26th Sept 2011, my digicomp box stopped working. I raised a complaint with Tata Sky customer service - complaint no 1-[protected]. I was told that this issue will be resolved by 28th Sept. I got a call from Tata Sky network team to understand what was wrong, based on my description of the problem, they figured out that the digicomp had to be replaced. This will be done by 28th Sept. Nothing happened on 28th Sept, I called back on 29th Sept and complained. I was told that digicomp boxes are out of stock and I will get a new one by 1st October. Nothing happened on 1st Oct. I called back, they promised me that the box will be fixed by 3rd Oct, today. Nothing happened today as well. I called back, I was told that this will be fixed by 5th Oct, but, there was no firm commitment. I made several calls today and talked to floor Suprtvisor, Dilip and then Ashish. I was very clear in articulating that I need a digicomp box by 8 pm in my house, I was OK taking a higher version HD-DVR for the time being. Otherwise, I want all my installation charges (2599 for box and 225 for installation), account balance (about 225), my phone charges for all the calls (about 300 Rs) and inconvenience charges (since, Tata Sky charges a fine for not recharging in time).

Nothing was done till 8 pm, I called back and talked to Floor supervisor Avni and then with Team leader Soujanya. I extended the deadline to 10 pm. Again, I was OK taking a HD-DVR, till I get a HD digicomp box. This was not taken up.

I was promised that this will be fixed by tomorrow 4th Oct, but, frankly, I do not have any confidence.

I want all the money as highlighted above and an apology letter from Tata Sky.

TATA SKY/DTH SERVICES. — REPLACEMENT OF DIGICOMP BOX

I have been a loyal customer of Tata Sky since 13th September 2006.It is very dissappointing for me to know after so many years that the Tata Sky Customer Care Service is so lousy.when you have any problem it takes forever for them to fix it.
Since 28th August 2011 my Tata Sky digicomp box is not working.I have called several times to get it replaced but my complain has fallen to deaf ears so far nothing satisfactory has been done to resolve it till date.I have wasted my precious time and money calling them again and again only to hear that it is going to take 3 days,4 days and now they want 2 more days.They never updated my details.They didn't even have courtesy to call me.I'm regretful and fed up with Tata Sky Customer Service.Had i known about their customer care service i would have chosen some other service provider.I strongly advice not to ever go for TATA SKY.
Complains should be taken care of with no further inconvenience to the customers.It's their responsibility they should follow up on it and be committed to resolve the complain within the given time rather than further delaying it and making it difficult for customers to keep faith.I think they should compensate the customer for the loss of time and money.No one should experience such a pathetic service.It's shameful for a big company like tata sky to deal with customers in such a way that they no longer want to continue with the them.I feel very sorry for the customer.I hope they will take appropriate action in your favour to not make you and your family suffer anymore.
