[Resolved] Tata Sky — Horrible service right from installation process | |||
I am customer of Tata Sky residing in Mumbai/Pune. I have this DTH for last 4 years in Mumbai. Except for once instance where Tata Sky had charged me exhbordinatly for fixing something from their end. But, this was almost 2 years ago and they had right fully refunded the amount. Today, 9th June 2011, I again face with a severe concern. In Pune Bavdhan a residential complex called Zinnea uses Tata Sky as their single DTH provider. Assuming Tata Sky do provide good service and have good reputation we had recommended for the same. Tata Sky did the initial installation in the building and I believed everything was fine until the following incident. 4th June 2011 I purchased a set top box from Tata Sky last saturday 4th June 2011. 5th June 2011 No call from Tata Sky. Nothing happened the whole day. I followed up with Tata Sky and scheduled the installlation. 6th June 2011 The installation process started on Monday 6th June 2011 (I expected such a small matter like installation would have happened with 24hrs). Till Monday afternoon the so called technicians who had arrived at our place were unable to install. They identified that the problem should be in the Central dish on the terrace. This means the entire building was blacked out.Assuring a quick resolution the engineer went away. 7th June 2011 Nothing happened. No one turned up. (quick service !!!) 8th June 2011 After followup for several times someone turned up at 7 pm on Wednesday 8th June. He went away saying he doesnt have the right apparatus (!!!) to do the job. I informed about this to Tata Sky call center. They assured a senior engineer will be at our place by 10am sharp ... :) 9th June 2011 Someone turned up early morning (!!!) by 11:45 am. Not an engineer the same person who had come the day before. Since there was electrical outage at that time he went away promising will return. We informed when the electric supply restored. He worked on something and tried a couple of things. No luck till now. I have informed about this to Tata Sky call center. Hopefully something should work. Tomorrow I plan to return the set top box and move to some other DTH service. We would discuss this in out residents forums about shifting the entire service to some other provider. Also, I need to check if I can turn off the DTH service at my Mumbai residence. Was this information helpful? | |||
